    For anyone looking for the paint list, a couple of paints weren't on the paint list but were used - pro acryl dark camo green and AK interactive ivory at the start, citadel rhinox hide, and then GSW gold pigment/vallejo gold.

    • @VinceVenturella
      @VinceVenturella  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I don’t understand, I varnish repeatedly often. :) - it makes it easier to use metallics. If they go somewhere you don’t want, you can just flood the area and erase with your brush without damaging the underlying layer because of the varnish.

    • @Votann
      @Votann 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@VinceVenturella Thank you for the response to my (admittedly clunky) question! I think my concern would be damaging the varnish or the paint where I try to remove the metallic. • @razielthewraith2042
    @razielthewraith2042 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Beautiful job, Vince! It's always such a pleasure and an inspiration to watch a master like yourself at work. I have a very low-level question, if I may ask... It looks like you've attached the model to an unfolded paper clip, stuck into a cork: how is the paper clip then attached to the model? Do you drill a hole in the sole of the boot that's slightly smaller than the diameter of the paper clip head and jam the paper clip in there, or is a glue or adhesive of some sort involved?

    • @cliffwood7386
      @cliffwood7386 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I've done both - I'd recommend pinning into the model if you have a good place for it. Just glue seems to always come off at an inopportune time (though for resin/metal models it can be easier). I usually make a hole the same size or slightly larger than a paperclip/staple, then glue it inside. When I'm done I can either cut it off, or more likely use it as a pin into the base.

    • @VinceVenturella
      @VinceVenturella  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      So I have videos on pinning models, watch those. But yes, just drill up into the foot and then super glue it in.

    Hi Vince V,
    Kinda offtopic but still a question that i have and no answers founds so far.
    Im starting a gloomspite gitz army (i love the goblins and dont care about losing) and i want to paint my gitz with light of the bad moon shining upon them.
    Would you paint a regular cold light (bluish on them) or do feel like it has to have a little bit greenish in it aswell?
    Kinda clueless about it and would like to hear your opinion on it!

    • @VinceVenturella
      @VinceVenturella  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Cheat? You are about 10 years out of date with that bad take.

      The same color and light theories apply, and he has a bunch of videos on brush control and technique.

      Well, this series is called hobby cheating. ;) - that being said, there is no cheating to an airbrush, it’s a tool, same as any other. It has uses and limitations. Generally I just try to utilize the right tool for the right job. Same reason I use a car when I need to go far instead of walk or a washer and dryer instead of the creek behind my house. :)
