With all of the negative vibes around the world, this is my "happy place". I can watch your videos and escape from this crazy world and smile more. Thank you Walter for sharing your beautiful friends with the rest of us!
We had the same thing happen: momma brought her 4 kittens. She spent every night with them on our patio. By the 5th night, she was gone. The kittens returned each night, having been taught this is where they are to remain during the night for safety. Momma showed up a few days later, but now she was very aggressive towards them. Heartbreaking. She was pregnant again and somehow knew she was going to turn on her own kittens, so made sure they knew where to be at night in order to remain safe and fed. Those kittens are now a permanent part of our crew of cats and we even caught and got momma fixed. She suffers seizures, so she’s on medicine and no longer goes outside. We built a 500 sq ft cat kennel-your videos here gave me the idea-so no all her litters (she had 3 before we finally caught her) live here. We have 12 cats. All are fixed, have their shots, etc. See what you’ve done? Lol!
I wonder if she didn't so much turn against her kittens, but was letting them adamantly know that it was time for them to be on their own and no longer dependent on mommy.
Perhaps such beautiful kindness is "infectious" . How wonderful to see that there are some people who are so virtuous as you all are! On behalf of all the animals you have rescued, I thank you most sincerely.

I use to live in Virginia before I moved down to Florida. We had a orange tabby kitten show up at out door alone and so she joined the crew of strays that ate on our back deck everyday. Then a few years ago she got pregnant and had a single kitten of her own, under our front porch. She raised that kitten to know where to go to get fed and water and make friends with the other strays on our back deck. But it was fun watching Lucky the mommy cat raise Baby her kitten. She moved on to find her next baby's daddy before we could get her fixed. She was semi feral.
Momma, like all mom's everywhere, knew she wanted her daughter to have a better life than she. So, she brings her across the street to you. Smart momma.
Vasak's mom knew EXACTLY what she was doing by bringing her baby to you. She knew her kitten would be fed/watered and cared for. Happily, her trust was not misplaced. Thank you.
Proof that most animals are good at being able to sense if people are trustworthy or not. Had two dogs like that, both were usually friendly to most people (sometimes cautious at first, but would warm up to most strangers quickly), and only became aggressive towards those who we learned later were either not so nice, or who had severe mental/emotional problems. Our pitbull mix we had really hated anyone who smelled of drugs or alcohol.

With the small ear tufts, big fluffy tail and lack of a pronounced neck ruff, I'm leaning towards Norwegian Forest cat rather than Maine Coon. She's a beauty no matter her lineage.✌️😺
She and her relatives are basic mixed Turkish cats. I really doubt that any of them have a purebred anything in their ancestry. Cat breeds were developed quite recently by selecting from generic cats to fix various traits by inbreeding. Long hair is a trait common in cold areas. There's a longhaired population of cats in the Lake Van area of Turkey from which the Angora and Turkish Van breeds were developed. So Vasak may have an ancestor from that region. Or from the longhaired cats of northern Iran from which the Persian breed was developed. Or from some ship's cat from northern Europe that docked at a Turkish port. Breeders eventually ruin a breed by selecting for more extreme traits. Maine coons were originally New England barn cats. They were large and long furred to cope with the cold climate. Breeders selected for these traits until now they are so big that they get hip dysplasia like big dogs, and can't look after their fur on their own unlike their recent ancestors. Persians have been bred for such flat and even indented faces that their tear ducts are crushed and they have breathing problems. Their fur needs constant attention. The original Persians had somewhat short but normal snouts, they were large framed cats, and they could maintain their own fur without help. I could go on. Some of the more recent breeds are based on a recent mutation. Scottish fold is the same mutation that results in Ehler-Danlos syndrome in humans, a painful and disabling condition. Munchkin is the same mutation as achondroplastic dwarfism in humans. Someone in the US is trying to establish a breed called 'twisty cats'. These poor animals have a mutation that causes the front legs to be so deformed that they can only walk on their back legs. So cute, this person believes, but so cruel. Anyhow, I could keep ranting. All my cats are and have been local, random bred. Even the longhaired one can maintain his lush coat himself without matting or hairball problems. They are reasonably intelligent and have their natural cat instincts intact. We got them as adults needing homes, and they are a pleasure to live with. End of rant!

@@b.a.erlebacher1139 PS, about the ship’s cat docking in ancient Constantinople, etc: I was reading just recently about the fascinating practice, in Bronze Age Crete, of importing cats from Egypt to use in hunting for waterfowl. (Can you imagine the training sessions!!) But you made me imagine further, picturing ancient vessels leaving highly trained retriever kitties dotted around the far easterly Mediterranean seas and up even in Troy, and whose beautiful legacy now gambols gaily in this safe haven. (Tales around the campfire with Mr Feast, the wily warrior.)

What a gorgeous cat. She ended up in great hands. Her mamma knew you were the guy to bring her to. Pj not sharing his toys was a hoot. Looking forward to the next video of the other kitty and Vashak's first friend.

I was wondering if she might join the inside gang, as Santi was looking curious about her when she was on cage rest, but she seems to be thriving outside. Gorgeous cat!
@@justwannasay5454 My young indoor cat broke a leg bone high up, very close to the pelvis (probably from jumping down from a tall bookcase) and had similar surgery to remove the broken piece of bone. He's fine now, seven years later.
As I was watching her be sent to a foster home I was sad but at the same time I understood that you already had too many cats. And when you said "the inevitable end" I thought the foster parents fell in love and kept her. But I almost cried when I recognized the cat house and your place. I'm glad you kept Vasak ♥️
Thank you for everything you do- taking strays in, getting them the medical care they need, spaying/neutering them, LOVING them, and sharing them with us!! This girl is a floofy beauty for sure!! Can't wait for the "first friend" video!
Being pregnant every year, having a broken pelvis, all the things that can happen outdoors including just being tired of the elements, Or unfortunately hit by a car Or meeting unsavory people. My kitties like to go outdoors to use the bathroom and sometimes sit in the sun for a little while, but they come in because They want to, they always sleep indoors and they are never out at night. All these animals living on the streets breaking my heart. I’m so glad to see someone take care of these kitties. Thank you so much.
She looks like my boy kitty I named Tigger. I found him in our apartment courtyard and he was about the same age. He was meowing so loud it sounded like screaming all night, I tried to catch him but couldn't. It was two weeks of putting out food, playing with a stick and petting him as he would run past us before he let his guard down. I brought him inside one night then the next day let him out brought him back in that night and the next day he didn't want back out. The neighbors said they thought it was his mother that had been run over by a car. Hence the screaming that first night. I've had him now for 10 years. My love bunny.
Mom was so thin when she brought Vashak to you, but when she visited after the next litter, she looked better. So glad you got her spayed! I love seeing all the kitties around your house, and love the photos on the walls of their room and your professional grade videos. I was saddened when the text read "and then the inevitable day came", and I was laughing at the ending! Thank you for sharing!✌️😺
It's interesting what the different reactions are to that. Having followed the channel with joy, and knowing enough about his character, I knew straight away that the "inevitable end" meant he'd keep her ❤️❤️❤️
@@jeandixon586 I was expecting to see Adoption Day and laughed when he said adopted. I have six rescues as I am a total 'foster fail'. If I volunteered at our no kill shelter, I'd be neck deep in cats real quick, so I feed and keep an eye on our neighborhood strays. When intervention is needed, I call our SPCA. If I ever hit a big lottery, I want a place like Mr. Santi's. Cat Heaven on earth. ✌️😺
Ya, my heart stopped when I read "and then the inevitable day come". Thought, oh no, something bad happened.. Well the family got bigger as families do (or should do).
It was so nice to see her meeting the front yard crew. Everyone was on their best behavior. And with Princess's acceptance, that sealed the deal! Thank you for rescuing her (and both her and her mother's surgery) and for another entertaining video.
Oh yes, I know from own experience: it's so easy to say no more stray cats. But it's pretty hard to realize it 😂. Such a fluffy beauty! 💕 Mommy promised her:" You'll have a better life than me!" like any other loving mother!
In your first shots of her I thought "She looks like a lynx!" She is gorgeous. So sad about her pelvis but you saved the day as usual. You are truly an angel on earth. I'm guessing her first friend is...PJ!
What a beautiful story - the Hallmark Channel has nothing over this story. It was heartwarming, exciting, sad when Vashak broke her hip and funny all wrapped up together. She is a gorgeous cat and so lucky to have found a home with Walter Santi. He obviously loves all his kitties and they love him. I totally enjoyed watching this - and all his videos.
How could no one want to adopt such a beautiful cat? I'm so happy you adopted her in the end, I can't imagine her being stuck in foster care for years.
It truly amazes me that all these cats can live in harmony like this. I do love the way the story is told, especially the comment about playing with her tail! She has really filled out and is so stunning! Now there are 12, it must be time for a cat calendar!❤️
I don't mean to be that guy, but when it comes to any animal, their basic survival instinct is to survive. And, if they find something that is taken care for them, it only makes sense for them to keep coming back.
Vasak is a beautiful little girl and aptly named. Thank God her mother brought her to your house. That was distressing to learn that she was injured but glad that she recovered - you have a very good vet. A lovely story.

Sorry, but you got me going. LOL I'm a crazy cat lady, and I love my kitties. All kitties.✌️😺
@@b.a.erlebacher1139 PS, about the ship’s cat docking in ancient Constantinople, etc: I was reading just recently about the fascinating practice, in Bronze Age Crete, of importing cats from Egypt to use in hunting for waterfowl. (Can you imagine the training sessions!!)
But you made me imagine further, picturing ancient vessels leaving highly trained retriever kitties dotted around the far easterly Mediterranean seas and up even in Troy, and whose beautiful legacy now gambols gaily in this safe haven.

She's absolutely gorgeous!
It's very nice of people whom cherish life of other living things.. imagine that getting a cat spayed that is not theirs that's the love of human for all!
She is absolutely beautiful. I would have taken her in a minute. Can’t wait for the rest of her story and many, many more wonderful videos from you about your family of cats, and Walter the dog.
It is always so refreshing to see: There are good people on this earth. Especially in times like these. Thank you for taking care of another precious kitty in need of help. Well, actually it where two kittys...
I don’t think there are enough words in cat and human language to express how grateful we all are for what you do. This video was absolutely beautiful, just like Vasak.
An amazing and beautiful world. Thank you for this corner of your world.
Absolutely❤
It makes my heart happy
You and your family and friends are wonderful people. God blessed our society with folks like you. 😇
Incredible so happy she is staying with you and the others.
The mother cat's meow is so awesome.
You're God's gift to felines. Thank you for always taking care of them.
Just Beautiful to watch them all s
I WOULDNT COMPARE HER TO GOD BECAUSE SHE'S PHYSICALLY ACTUALLY DOING SOME THING, LOL!!!😇💖
Her mother knew to bring her to you. You are truly a guardian angel to all the cats. We need more kind souls like you in the world. 🐈 ❤ 🐱 🌷
"I don't want to take another cat to front yard"... Weeks/moths later... "We adopt her!" 😂 You are the best person in the world! She is gorgeous 😍
Thank you for another enchanting story about your yards full of mischief and joy. For a time, I completely forgot all the world's travails and just enjoyed your friends and neighbors!
That mother brought her kitten to the best home in the world.
I’ll say it again, you are an outstanding human being!
Walter, you are so kind. If everyone were like you, this world would be a paradise. Thank you so much for sharing your videos of your cats with the world 🌎
Walter is his dog's name :D The channel is named after his dog and his white cat.
@@kesorangutan6170 we should ask him for his name to not call him dog;s name. Uph.
I don't want to take away your beautiful, underfloor heated cat room, but I would love to have that room - or a copy of it, for ME! (But I would have to share it with my rescue cats and dog, too).
I wish Walter had access to underfloor heated room, now. He is no longer young and winters, especially, he should now be indoors.
No paradise in World while USA warmongers still existing on this planet.
She is so beautiful, thank you for rescuing her. Good to see everyone is doing well, love to see them !!
I was so happy when you said you adopted her! She is so beautiful and has been through so much with her injury. So good to see her walking well and so healthy!
I watch your videos several times just to be uplifted Thank you for the care and peace you give to this planet
What a gorgeous cat. She ended up in great hands. Her mamma knew you were the guy to bring her to. Pj not sharing his toys was a hoot. Looking forward to the next video of the other kitty and Vashak's first friend.
And that my friends is one of the biggest hearted humans their is,... a friend to all cats that come his way. Thank you again for all you do for these beautiful animals. Love this content.
please never change the genre of music, it is perfect for kitties
A very fortunate little girl.
Blessings for you all!
I knew you were going to keep her lol. She kind of looks like the cat "I don't know who that is" from the feast. You make the best videos I really enjoy them so much.
I so look forward to your videos...and am so grateful you care for our feline friends! God bless you! Love-Light!
I was wondering if she might join the inside gang, as Santi was looking curious about her when she was on cage rest, but she seems to be thriving outside. Gorgeous cat!
Very curious though how she got hurt. The pelvis area seems like an odd place to have a broken bone?
His name is actually mr. feast..
This channel is such a blessing🥰
@@jeandixon586 I am half way through and worried what the Princess will think❤️🥰
True words have been spoken, true words.
Oh yes, I know from own experience: it's so easy to say no more stray cats. But it's pretty hard to realize it 😂. Such a fluffy beauty! 💕 Mommy promised her:" You'll have a better life than me!" like any other loving mother!
Lucky cat. Thank u for rescuing her!
In your first shots of her I thought "She looks like a lynx!" She is gorgeous. So sad about her pelvis but you saved the day as usual. You are truly an angel on earth. I'm guessing her first friend is...PJ!
Actually "vasak" means lynx in Turkish. Her name suits her very well : D

I'm so glad you adopted her...she couldn't have found a better cat daddy!!! What a wonderful place for any feline to live.... ❤️❤️❤️
This brought tears to my eyes. These two kitties knew who to find the best home with ❤. What a beautiful new family member!
What a fine cat! Thank you!🙏
Cat very nice and very beautiful and very happy 🐈
How could no one want to adopt such a beautiful cat? I'm so happy you adopted her in the end, I can't imagine her being stuck in foster care for years.
It truly amazes me that all these cats can live in harmony like this. I do love the way the story is told, especially the comment about playing with her tail! She has really filled out and is so stunning! Now there are 12, it must be time for a cat calendar!❤️
I don't mean to be that guy, but when it comes to any animal, their basic survival instinct is to survive. And, if they find something that is taken care for them, it only makes sense for them to keep coming back.
Calendar is a great idea! l would buy it.

They must be fighting atleast once...please show one video of their cat fights
Vasak is a beautiful little girl and aptly named. Thank God her mother brought her to your house. That was distressing to learn that she was injured but glad that she recovered - you have a very good vet. A lovely story.
Thanks so much for these videos, you have no idea how much I appreciate them.
It's so heartbreaking to see that EVERYWHER is SO....SO....hard to find responsible people who want to adopt cats or dogs !!! 😭
And the problem (that humans caused) 😑😒🙄 of lot of stray animals all over the world is SO BIG !!!
ALL THE BLESSINGS FOR YOU & YOUR FAMILY for doing this wonderful effort in order to help all these innocent creatures !!! ❤👏👏👏🙏🙏🙏
YOU ARE A REAL HERO !!!
Greetings from Mexico !!! 🥰
Her momma knew the special place to bring her and keep her safe! Vasak knows she is pretty too. That tail is exceptionally gorgeous!
Beautiful storytelling, and I love the happy ending! Thank you for helping so many cats in need! ❤
The kitty know you are good humans who will help her kitten.
Your house is heaven for cat😊
I am so happy she's doing well. Friends will come. Takes time for kitties. When they commit, it's for life.
I am most appreciative of this new walter santi video. Had a rough week and this makes my weekend so much better. Thank you for all you do for all the kitties in your neighborhood...and for us all over the world!
Oh, precious kitty. She reminds me of my lost cat for the similar fur patterns, facial structure and expression too, he was a stray much smaller when I took him in. Thank you for taking care another baby. Glad she's okay now. Her meows and her mommy's are adorable.
Vasak & Mommy can share mysterious broken leg stories Thanks so much for sharing, such a delight and so heart warming 🥰🐈✨
Thank you so much for adopting beautiful Vashak!
I love the fact that you took the time and care to get them to a vet and have them spayed as well. You are a beautiful person for taking care of all of these cats.
She’s absolutely gorgeous! The mama cat is gorgeous also!
I'm always so happy to see your new videos and visit with your cats. I love how this baby has inherited her mother's fluffy fluffy tail. I couldn't believe how long it took you to decide to keep her at your house and thank goodness you did! That PJ is one of my favorites and he seems to have a crush on her even though he doesn't want to share his toys. It hasn't been so long since he was the one trying to make friends. I just love all your cats. Thank you for making these videos. 🥰
I was so happy to see the notification that you had a new video out. Thank you kind Sir for the love and support you give to all animals. I just love your videos ❤🙏👍
We have a black female just like the mother, the Kitten is gorgeous, without you sorting the hip out god knows where she would be, you do an outstanding job looking after all the animals, you deserve some form of recognition.
Thanks for giving them sanctuary. Those wonderful tails!!
