I believe the two characters we see are Iphigenia and Orestes. The son and daughter of King Agamemnon.
The story says that after Agamemnon had angered the goddess Artemis (which is heavily implied in the cutscene - with all the deer & the statue that clearly depicts her). They had made a deal - for Agamemnon to avoid the goddess's wraith, he would sacrifice his eldest, Iphigenia, in return.
At the altar (which is what the building we see, the cutscene looks eerily similar towards). We learn that before Iphigenia was killed, Artemis rescues her - by having a DEER take her place (refrenced by the deer that transforms into a woman).
Now, for the character named 'O' I originally, I also thought it was Oddessyus (as both stories take place in the Odyssey.) But I realized it was not; as niether characters had ever interacted in the original story so it wouldn’t have made sense.
So after a little more digging (a paragraph later), I realized O must’ve been 'Orestes' her own brother. Which may I include the details that they thought each other was dead (which would explain the dialogue between the two - wishing they could've been together more, etc. + the dialogue didn’t seem very romantic)
All these characters also do have connections (with them all being biological family). So it would make sense that these are the characters refrenced.
I also believe Lana is the reincarnation of Iphigenia (refrencing similar looks but yet different styles & obviously this takes place in another time- during Ancient Greece as we can see from the clothing they wear + the setting.)
Also, in the old cabin in chapter 1 of the new winter quests, we can see Lana's thoughts and notes. She says she feels like she's sometimes a different person and references a fountain of truths (which is obviously the fountain of where we put the code Palingensia.).
There's more to it. Palingensia means rebirth is Greek (pointing more towards Lana being a reincarnation of someone), and the journal drives it home even further. As the journal implies, the cutscene we saw was actually Lana's memories as the woman in the hood (who I think is Iphigenia.) Which explains why Agamemnon prizes Lana so much (for being the reincarnation of his daughter he was "forced" to sacrifice). Along with the rumors of a new nail tech (who may be a guy), I think may be Orestes's own reincarnation.
That was a lot. Sorry, lol!
Theres also possible references to Athena and/or Zeus showing up at some point. As in the end of the winter quests, we see a snow owl (owls are obviously Athena's patron animal-, and I couldn't find anything different if it was a snow owl instead of a barn owl.) And the fact it was included I think heavily implies Athena will be making an appearance (especially since the Odyssey includes her a lot- especially with her bond/relationship with Oddessyus.)
And Zeus, as I noticed a falcon/eagle flying by in the distance when we see the woman ship sailing away. This also could be a refrence to Athena as it wasnt to clear, but I think the fact is such a small detail was added was a small but important detail for foreshadowing

This comment deserves at least 10k likes you are so smart. I also thought it was Iphigenia but the way you explain everything so well and make everything make sense is just smth unique!

I think it’s Penelope and Odysseus because in the odyssey Odysseus reunites with Penelope who’s his wife after 20 years away at war with Agamemnon and she even says” goodbye o” she it might be Odysseus and Penelope

it doesn’t make much sense actually, because it’s not penelope that leaves but rather odysseus.

I’m pretty sure that it’s Artemis leaving. Im almost 100% sure it’s Odysseus as it’s O and I recognise the place as his country Ithica. The statue outside is of a lady holding a bow and the deer lady has a green glow to her. Artemis’ colours are green and she can transform into a deer much like how Athena can turn into an owl and an owl flew around during the cutscene (Odysseus’ mentor is Athena in the Odyssey and I’m going off that rn). Artemis hated Agamemnon as he killed one of her sacred deer and she healed a Trojan warrior who was injured by Agamemnon’s brother (i think his brother sorry if I’m wrong) Menelaus. Artemis also controlled some winds which pushed many Greek ships away, (Agamemnon is a Greek king). Meaning Artemis and Agamemnon hate each other, that means she may try help us (the player) to stop him at some point and rescue Lana. Athena may also attempt to help as Odysseus’ mentor and the goddess of Wisdom, this is hinted at by her owl flying round during the cutscene. Sorry for being that one person I could go on for days talking about Odysseus I love mythology.

Ok so in Greek lore two of Agamemnons children were named Iphigenia and Orestes. Which could be the two we see. In the story Iphigenia is sacrificed by Agamemnon to the goddess Artemis. Artemis saves Iphigenia by replacing her with a deer. Later Orestes and Iphigenia reunite after Orestes is sent to get the statue of Artemis and return it to Athens. Iphigenia helps her brother and return safely. Of course this is an extreme simplification of the story with many parts missing, but it’s the gist. This theory would make more sense bc it connects to what we already know.

I don’t think so as the lady (who I think is Artemis) said ‘goodbye O’ meaning the man’s name begins with an O. I believe he is Odysseus of ithica.

Agamemnon was a Greek king, he was basically always evil and his name didn’t begin with an O. I believe it’s Odysseus of ithica.
