8:04 I legit shed tears. The rare moments of vulnerability, when you see the burden Kenshiro bears from seeing so much death and suffering, are some of the most heart-wrenching moments in his story. As powerful as he is, as hard as he tries, he can never save everyone. His greatest strength is also the source of his greatest pain- his humanity.
its sad that in the end, everybody still died unexpectacly and kenshiro had failed to keep his promise to everyone. but even after a long fight with alot of effort, shin's master had told ken to use his pain and sorrow to be his ultimate strength and to move one with his journey to be the savior of the post-apocalyptic world and that is what the fate of hokuto is.
I have just cried. Not only Manly Tears ( lol), but also humane tears, tears that remind me why am I still alive after all this time. Thank you for posting this, it sure made my day! WAHTAWATHA !!
A lot of people seem to be missing the point of this movie. Kenshiro loses to Shin, disappears and then reappears as the man we all know and love. The question is, how did he regain his will to live and become the savior? This film is supposed to show how he regained his spirit, hence why it takes so long for him to finally act the way we're used to.
@ThePsychoguy The violence and brutality is what lures you into the series, but the real heart of the story is about humanity and sadness. There is a lot of character developement in the manga and you trully feel sad when one of the main characters die, even Raoh at the end.
Do you not remember Shuu's death? That was a hell of a dramatic scene that easily made any of it's watchers shout 'SHUUUUUUUU!' to the skies. This movie wasn't an improvement, but it showed that it can keep up in the action aspect.
@Songotus Yeah that was really the only problem I had with the new voice actor.. At least do what ADV did for the English dub of "New Fist": They got one guy to v/o, and a Kung-Fu Master to do the "Wa-tah"s.
What the fuck kind of ending is that???? EVERYONE DIES! HOORAY! Everything that just happened was just a trial, now they're all dead and Ken levels up. gj
16BitTerror It's not supposed to be a happy ending. It's supposed to tell the story of how Kenshiro realized his destiny as both the successor of Hokuto Shinken and the savior of the world.

Loved this. Such a sad ending. Siska kept his word and killed everyone despite Kenshiro’s salvation. Great movie with awesome writing and art
just why could he not have died instantly
@@brothersofwrath4785 No surprise from the guy who survived tank's shot and Raoh's punches (a guy who literally split the cloud with his punch)

I was talking about Siska lol not Kenshiro

This was one sad ending, but it makes sense because it explains why he's so brutal to the bad guys.

Problem is most people never saw the series and only saw the stupid movie where Rei lasts 2 seconds. Instead of Dying for the woman he loves.

I preferred Rei's death, a character who was actually in the story for more than like.. 10 episodes.

No wonder the Dynasty Warriors series hasn't been all that great lately...
He have more tragic life than Naruto.
