The executive branch is very powerful. Too much centralization of power in the federal government in my opinion. We need more states rights, and cities like NYC and LA need more autonomy. Wisconsin is nothing like California... these states need more autonomy!

I like Joe, but you can tell he's a bit too bake here and/Or he's not well studied. His comments that having 'one guy' is 'too old' and 'antiquated' with his power is flat out wrong. The framers of this country effectively wrote the executive branch to matter very little, holding most of the power with the legislative branch (with the executive and judicial being checks). It was not really until TR in the 1900s where the executive branch became powerful and centralisation of the federal government started superseding states. So, this new powerful president is not an antiquated idea --it was a 'solution' for a 'modern world'

We are also run by a fedaralist system which means local state government has more power than the federal government.
