Downderry you need to walk East not West and climb over the rocks. Not a great place for swimming as it’s quite rocky. Not much to do in the village either as the local shop has closed down. Carbeil up Treliddon Lane in Downderry is a naturist touring campsite.
@@destinationclothesfree The first cove is fine for naturism, good for swimming too when the tide is over the rocky foreshore. Sorry you did not get to appreciate the beach at its best.
@@bobreeves1236 Yes Carbeil is a good site for touring (and fully naturist), but it's small with not many touring pitches - making availability very limited. If you just turn up expecting to get in, then you'll probably be disappointed. We had one of the (8 or so) static caravans for 10 years but sold it in 2023 as we fancied touring instead of going to the same place. The beach itself is rocky and don't expect fine sand. There is a path down to the beach from the cliff path near the hairpin bend just out of Downderry but last time I was there someone had blocked access with a fence and 'private' gate to prevent people using it. Not sure if it's legitimately 'private' and you can climb over it. It's a steep path down the cliff with a rope handhold at the bottom. You need to be quite fit to use it, but it does allow you access when the tide is in.
I did unwittingly stroll onto topless beach in Brighton back in the early nineties (first visit, didn’t know the area). Couldn’t get out of there quickly enough as I was so overdressed.
Love your videos! I hope to visit Europe in the near future and visit some of these. Thanks for the information.
Happy to help!
Vault beach (or bow beach as its sometimes called) does have its own car park at the top, but its still a good walk down but very much worth it!!
Yes, we saw on the map but we didn't seem able to get there with our van
Thank you. I never knew about the small coves just off Polgaver.
You learn every day :-D
Is there a wall made of corn?
we seriously doubt it
will you be doing scotland?
Unfortunately not this time
@@destinationclothesfree it's fine, what your recommendations for a beach that's not on the list?
Too cold
@@peterwebb725 it would be in winter but it won't in the summer
Are you visiting other UK Counties ?
Yes we are! Soon you’ll see Studland and Hampshire videos on this channel 😎
I thought the lovely girl in the thumbnail would be taking us on this tour and not a narration

Only someone taking recreational pharmaceuticals would find Downderry appealing for anything other than taking the dog for a shti.
Downderry was indeed the least attractive on the list, but definitely a nice beach though

We did walk east and climb over the rocks, but the sea was too high to get to the next coves

exactly what naturists are looking rocky and far away from the crowds, naturist businesses are upside down operations compare the tourism industry
Downderry has a naturist caravan/ club site . Carbile. Been there twice. 🤔😉😉

Nah, they looked actually really nice
the rule is you can only be naked if your a perfect 10.
