Remember NOT to leave the park if it rains.. I Traveled from Colorado and it rained mid day and by 6pm everything was open again and I felt as if I had the whole park to myself. I was riding steel vengeance Over and over again without getting off the train.
This has been the best guide I have found. I’ve already been to cedar point and can confirm this is spot on. I like getting every last ounce of enjoyment out of each visit.
From Surry British Columbia I flew to Charlotte and spent four nights there 4 nights at Carowinds two weeks ago and flew back home home to arrive at my door exactly two weeks ago. Now I'm hoping to fly to Cincinnati June 5th to spend five nights in Mason for my first visit to visit King's Island June 6th through 3:30 June 10th, then fly back to Vancouver Airport in Richmond B.C. and get to my place in Surry for a night of sleep to leave again the next day back to the airport the next day on June 11th to fly to San Fransisco for three nights in Santa Clara California's Great America on June 12th and 13th and fly back home June 14th. You know I love Cedar Point though.
This is so insightful. Thank you for taking the time to share the knowledge, it is much appreciated. You also answered my year old question of wanting to know why Steel Vengeance opens late!
Nice vid and pretty good way to navigate the park for the rides. Not so good for walking though. You're all over the place and the park is big. It's one mile from the front gate to Steel Vengeance. The advice to stop and eat is invaluable. If you don't keep yourself fueled and hydated through the day you'll be miserable. I've been going to CP since 1976 so my days of a scattered path through the park are over. I also think that your estimates for waits in line are very conservative. Gatekeeper, no problem, even Raptor if you hit it at the right time isn't too bad because of its massive capacity. Steel Vengeance, and Maverick, two hours almost all day. Millenium Force first thing is the best idea. I avoid Rougarou and Corkscrew, primarily because they are so rough. I'll always hit magnum and i can take or leave Valravn. I just don't think its that great of a ride. Having been going there for 47 years, i've seen pretty much all of the changes in its modern era, and figured out as best i could the season to go. As its grown to its huge proportions today, those days are pretty much long gone. I long for the days when i could go to CP and ride everything multiple times in a day, but that is long gone.
We are going for the first time in august. I booked breakers for 3 nights, and we will do the Sunrise Thrills tour on day 1, and then Fastlane plus on day 2. On our arrival and departure days we might get a couple hours in the parks as well. Want to make sure we get some night rides. I need to make a list of all the best seats (smoothest ride and then “best” ride spots) Very excited! Trying to decide if we need a meal plan .. any other tips please share!!
Here’s all the best seats Formatted: Ride: Best, Smoothest Gatekeeper: Back Row Outside seats, Front Right Wing Wild Mouse: Any, any Raptor: Back Row Outside, Back Row Middle Blue Streak: Second to back, Front row Valravn: Back Row Outside or Front Middle, Front Middle Iron Dragon: Front, Front Corkscrew: Second To Back, Second To Back Rougarou: Front Outside, Front Middle Millennium Force: Either front or back, Front row Magnum: Back Row, Back Row Gemini: Back Row, Front Row Cedar Creek Mine Ride: Front, Front Maverick: Back, Front Steel Vengeance: Back, Every row is smooth You should try front and back on every major coaster though, as your favorites may differ. Best night rides: Steel Vengeance, Millennium Force, Maverick, Raptor You’ll get most of your night rides on your fast lane day. On your arrival and departure days (depending on time), you should consider visiting the Cedar Point Shores Waterpark. Also, on one day, visit the beach at night, there are some lights and games. As for the meal plan, it doesn’t work on hotel restaurants (to my knowledge). You could buy it for each day and eat every 90 minutes, (which in that case is worth it), but if you’re traveling with other people, they would have to buy it as well to eat together. Also, with your early entry, it was updated to include Millennium Force just this past week, so you should incorporate that into your experience. Hope this helps!
Good video and good tips. We’re going to CP for the first time in June. We’re doing a Monday with Fast Lane Plus and Tuesday without. Unfortunately, we’re not staying on property. Looking forward to a great time and riding some great coasters! MF has been on my bucket list since 2000.
I'd do reverse on which day you have fast lane. The first day you're going to be exploring and getting lost while enjoying the views and riding coasters. The 2nd day you'll know the layout and know exactly where to go and enjoy your fast lane the best. Plus the 2nd day kinda sucks waiting In lines you spent skipping the day before 😂
@@1abrebel Thanks for the suggestion. My wife says, I’m to hyper to do that. 😂 I will say I am a hard charger and have a really good sense of direction. I hear CP is ginormous!

@@CoasterLegendYT yea I go at least 2-3x a month. Im a little disappointed that they took away the Snack Pass. So that's why I'm deciding on the Dinner Pass. Ok thanks.

I don't know if it's worth to buy a Summer Pass instead with food add-on, but, since I live abroad, I'll only use the Pass these 3 days (or 4, including the day of arrival) - and I dont wanna pay it monthly. Do you know if it is possible to pay at once the year fee?
me and my mom have a tradition to go to iron dragon first its always so nice because most of the time you can stay on the coaster bcs literally no one else is in the queue then go to millenium when you do that the highest wait for millinium is 15 minutes and iron dragon is never over 2 min two walk the queue
I'm going to cedar point on Memorial Day weekend and staying at hotel breakers and have fast lane plus, with 2 days in the park. what gate should we use (Magnum or Wind seeker) and what would be the most efficient plan as far as walking distance goes? edit: we have early entry btw
@@SurflinerBoy455 magnum does usually break down. If millennium is down, go to another big coaster in the park, like maverick or vengeance. Same with the other two if they go down. One should be open at all times.
Also, don’t go with someone that says they’ll ride the rides with you, and then not want to ride after you get to the park. I drove for over 8 hours (from Kentucky to Ohio.) I didn’t enjoy one single second of the 4 hours we at the park. Chick caused me to waste a lot of money. Needless to say her and I no longer talk ( and it’s not because of the trip) but a culmination of a lot of other things.

Opening day is usually one of the busiest days of the year with lots of new employees, so a lot of rides will be closed or delayed. @@CoasterLegendYT that's awesome! Especially considering it's good food. That steak they showed for a second in the video looked really good. I guess I'm surprised because I'm used to six flags where they rip you off on everything, and the food is absolute crap!
