I talk mostly about oil painting because it's what I do but the same ideas apply for all media : acrylic, watercolor, gouache (except for the drying time part).

Excellent point about differing drying time in various pigments. Never really considered that at the glazing stage. I’ve been using liquin as my medium for glazes so everything is drying next day. Wonder if that is a bad approach?
