    I dunno if you are still into barefoot shoes, but, if you are, Altra is THE running shoe. Zero drop and wide toe box like barefoot shoes. Their neutral shoe is the Torin. You may want to check out their Escalante too for speed work.

      I was checking our the reviews on the escalante a month ago and they aren't very good. Apparently the newer versions fall apart really quickly

      I'm not barefoot running anymore due to some injuries from it. Now I'm running in shoes with 3-5mm heel to toe drops.

      @@FitnessFinance4umaybe check out the Altra FWD? 4mm drop but maintain the wide toe box of Altra! Keep us posted!

    I like these shoes because I roll inside, and these shoes stop me from rolling in. This prevents pain due to rolling inwards. I do have high arch feet and I find them stable. I like the foam as within, it makes them comfortable.

      These are definitely perfect for you then. They weren't bad shoes, just bad for my style of running. I'm trying out the Clifton 9s next.

    I tried the Hoka shoes on in the store they felt very comfortable but when I wore them they knocked me off balance. I even tripped and fell the first time I wore them. There's just too much shoe on the bottom and the sides. I actually hate them. I don't know why people love them so much. They are awkward to wear

      Wow. I do admit there is a lot of soul on their shoes.

    What I like about Hoka is you can return Hokas purchased at Fleet shoe stores within 60 days

    Great info, thanks! I happen to like the Arahis for my foot. Have you tried the Clifton 9 shoes? They're supposed to be like the Arahi 7, except they're neutral, without the pronation correction.

    Looks like a good company with a lot of selection of shoes. With that it may be tough to find exactly what works best with your foot though

      I think more research on my end would have helped! The shoe finder on their app is not perfect.

    Yes! I have a pain on my soleus as well. My legs feel like lead while doing tempo runs in these shoes.

      Interesting. We must not be the only ones.

      Same, I feel fine doing around 4:30-4:40 min/km in my Asics, in these anything faster than 5:10-5:20 feels like I'm wearing bricks.

    Same. I wore it for the first time last night for a 5k chill run and similar part of my right leg was in pain after about 2km of run 😵‍💫

    So you injured your feet because of your barefoot shoes? How its happened? Good reviews!

    • @FitnessFinance4u
      @FitnessFinance4u  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thanks for watching. I actually injured my achilles using barefoot shoes. My achilles was overstretched in the barefoot shoes as my body was used to shoes with a larger heel to toe drop (thus my achilles tendons was shorter). If you plan on using barefoot shoes and are transitioning from normal running shoes, be sure to take a lot of time just walking in them so your achilles can slowly get used to the stretch.

    You want to feel the ground more and buy a Hoka?

    • @FitnessFinance4u
      @FitnessFinance4u  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes. Believe it or not, I have other running shoe brads that have more cushioning than Hoka's. Some Hoka model's are better than others for feeling the ground.

      I think you mean "Speedgoat"? I haven't tried those.

    I've seen those shoes before and thought they can't possibly be healthy. It's too much cushion. Not only that but they are ultra ugly lol. Walking on giant marshmallows looks weird to me.

    • @FitnessFinance4u
      @FitnessFinance4u  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I thought the same too. They are not as cushiony as you might think though. It was surprising.
