YES! Because under Klopp that became a theme. Last season we did it a lot and we kept relying on Alisson and Kelleher to save our skins with bundles of one on one saves between them. Luckily it's something that both keepers are great at, but we really need to cut that right down. Controlling the game and resting in possession are things we need to improve and it's great that Arne is talking about very specific ways to improve the team and I believe he's got the answers.
Time for a fresh interpretation of how this highly talented squad will operate and it's exciting times, already, let alone when the Euro guys are all back.
I like what you said about interpretation. I think that’s the right way to look at it. There was a certain way Klopp interpreted his philosophy and the skill set of the players and created his team which was massively successful. It would be very interesting to see Slot’s personal influences and experiences and how he interprets the talent. Salah for example is such a good player he can flourish under many managers but the youngster and maybe even the likes of VVD and TAA can use a fresh interpretation which is not massively different but gives it a new meaning and a different output of their skill set.
He's good with the media, can't wait for the next game.

Never in my life had this level of anticipation with a departured head coach. Loved to see the comments last few weeks. Scousers starting to eat out of Slot's hand, as we say in the Netherlands. Give him time guys, and Klopp will be soon.. well not forgotten but also not missed.

Proper supporters and most importantly those of us who fill our stadium every game are fully behind him, we have chosen THE right man to take us forward without a doubt, jurgen approved of his appointment so that is good enough for me. Plus watching his feyernhood team convinced me even more that he is a Liverpool type manager. I've been around since bob paisley so have experience of these things. Like everything, he will need time to fully integrate his ideas into our players, but I've no doubt about him at all. 👍 Ignore the Muppets, some people just complain about everything.
Loved seeing the boys out there playing well under new coaching philosophies! I think the biggest and most important news to come from this press conference is hearing Slot blatantly tell us that he is playing with a 10 and he put Dom and Harvey "in the position they will play during the season". I think we are finally going to see the true potentials of Harvey and Szobo (look at him leading the press and scoring a beauty today) and we might actually have a place for Carvalho after all! Exciting stuff! Up the Reds!

Ohhh I really like how analytical he is! You can tell he has a lot of energy to improve the small details, which is great to hear! I specifically like how he's mentioned a few times about not getting caught out on the counter.
4-2-2-2 controlled play. With this kind of play, we will see a lot of clean sheets, small margin wins and very large margin wins on teams who get tired of the controlled play. We need reinforcements in the team and I know it’ll happen in time. I think slot gets atleast 5 years at the helm to do anything really tangible. Fingers crossed.

This guy oozes calm and focus every time he is front of the media, his first presser with hughes he came across slightly nervous which is understandable but he doesn’t seem like a guy to let the emotion of a situation influence his thinking. Feels like he has the characterics of a top operator

Very simple. If Szoboszlai is healthy, he is TOP 10 in Europe. He collected a nasty injury in January. Hopefully, he is fully recovered.

He isn't press resistant and in tight spaces he is very poor, simple short passes are also too often inaccurate , which leads to a lot of lost balls and turnovers. If he has to play then it would be best to minimize his time on the ball and that he insted runs in channels between fullback and centreback and then do crosses from there like de bruyne often does
This is a very different regime, very focused and direct & pleased he showed his appreciation for the fans .....he will learn what a massive part of LFC morale they are but he isn't there yet and why would he be?

Interesting watching them in that game... kept the ball better with more possession. Promising. Risky playing around at the back and just hope we have the technical ability to do that this season. We just need to all get behind him - he has something definitely.

I love how technical he is and how hands on he is in the training sessions with the team! He's also very big on correcting errors within an instant and wanting to always improve. I guarantee we see a different darwin and gakpo with slot.
