I'm just went back home from my roadtrip in Western Europe. Bruges is by far the most beautiful and cutest city i've been to. When i think about europe I always think about small streets with old but cute houses and bars, and thats exactly how Bruges is. I loved Belgium. I'll definitely go back to Belgium someday.
Bruges is the most well-known medieval Belgian city but there's lots more worth visiting next time you visit us: Durbuy, Leuven, Ghent and Ypers are the most obvious examples. Antwerp is also worth it, then there's the Ardennes region (Semois Valley in particular), the Flemish Coast (De Panne, De Haan, Knokke-Heist, etc), the Haspengouw/Hesbaye region, etc.

I'm from Belgium and regularly visit Bruges. So I hope you might allow me a few correction/additions.
First of all: I would not recommend eating on the 'Grote markt'. These restaurants know they catch all the tourists without putting a lot of effort in, so it's often not quite that great and usually overpriced. You're much more likely to eat great Belgian food at reasonable prices if you wander of the beaten track a bit. Service is likely to be better too.
Seriously missing on your list is: Have one of Belgiums great beers! There is nothing this country is more proud of and justly so. The range and variation is unbelievable. Bruges has tons of great pubs where you can try some lovely beers in a good atmosphere. But as someone else mention 'de Garre' is one of my personal favors. If you don't know how to pick a beer, ask a local or the waiter for advice.

Mark Francis1977 I’m also from Belgium and I would recommend just the local beers. Like if there is a brewery close, try those beers. If there isn’t one close go for like beers brewed in abbeys like Grimbergen. Or you can also go for just the ‘mainstream’ beers like Jupiler or Stella Artois.
But WHATEVER you do don’t buy Cara Pils.

Bruges (or brugge) is one place I never tire of visiting. .. There is always something to do whatever the time of year. .I go at least once a month. .being close to the channel ports and the channel tunnel makes getting there relatively easy..and having Dutch as a second language makes it more pleasurable. .

Te town hall is not on the main square, it is the building behind you on "the burg square" with the chapel of the holy blood. The building on the main square next to "Historium" is the provincial court.

The town hall (or city hall) isn't located at Grote Markt. It is right behind you where this video was taken.

Just back, and I agree with you very very beautiful
Me and the Mrs go to Bruges every year without fail. We just wander round the pubs and get totally walloped. The beer is out of this world. Jupiler is the weakest beer they serve and it is 5.2% (stronger than Stella). Bruges is the most beautiful place in the world. I adore it.

The town Hall is in your second point, not your first point, but ok :)
Nice video! You should know though, Bruges is not a town, it is officially a city, it's even the capital of the West Flemish province. The main square is not called "grote markt" like in Brussels or Antwerp, it's just plain "markt" :P
Bruges is the exception of Belgium of having 2 main squares: Markt and Burg. Main squares of Grand' Place's are typically Belgian ;)
