The agility and the beauty of his stride is like that of a gazelle. He gives off the illusion of running without effort. It's amazing even at the pro level how he pulls away from his competition.

Ginn in the National Championship game, after scoring on Kickoff, Roy Hall when he jumped on Ginn carelessly to celebrate, injuring him and it cheated ALL of THE OSU fans out of seeing what could have been Ginn's finest game. Florida no longer had to double-team Ginn. And we also never got to see him in the combine, which I think he would have had one of the greatest 40's up there with Bo & Deion. Thanks Roy!

Ginn was in the combine that year and even ran the 40 in a boot and still ran 4.38.

Easily the most exciting player to ever put on a Ohio State uniform. I hope Treyveon Henderson or Emeka Egbuka can bring this type of playmaking ability

Had to come back and watch this guy again. Made me fall in love with college football. Him Reggie Bush and Devin Hester had the craziest college highlight tapes, but to me what always stood out is nobody was ever near Ginn in his highlights. Dude was just gone. Bush and Hester had to juke 2-3 extra guys Ted Ginn Jr just ran straight by. The only dude I ever felt as excited to watch was the Honey Badger years later.

I was there. And was stuck in the middle of the Florida side. It was ugly... Florida fans are some of the rudest, obnoxious, and petty fans I have ever been around. I had so much crap on my custom made Cairns Buckeye firefighter helmet (I was a professional firefighter at the time)... I got pelted with pretty much anything they could throw. And were these drunk college kids? Nope. Middle age (and older) men that should have known better... But, I stayed till the bitter end and took it. I always refer to that game as 'The Debacle in the Desert' lol.

Fastest football player I've ever seen. Why did teams continue to punt to him? Great demeanor as well. Always acted like he'd been there before... which he had. I wish he hadn't gone down after his opening kickoff TD return against Florida in the National Championship game. His speed not being there changed EVERYTHING for the Buckeyes in that game. Don't know if it would've changed the outcome, but I don't think it would have been the blowout it turned out to be. Great player👍

I got to see all of Ted Ginn's home games, and 3 of the bowl games (Alamo, Fiesta, and the Debacle in the Desert). The 1 vs 2 OSU/TTUN game was the best game I have ever seen in person. Our season tickets were in the closed end of the Shoe right behind the visiting band. Working our way down to the field after the game right past the band from up North... priceless! That was the last game on turf at the Shoe I believe... we took a chunk home and it survived in a planter in my friend's window for 2 years lol

I don’t care what anybody says….fastest college player of all time. Screw your stats and times…even though he ran a 4.29 40 on a bad foot. Once the dude went north/south….it was just not even a question anymore. As a tOSU fan, I had the same “oh shit” feeling every time he touched the ball, as all of the opponents did. Every time you touched the ball, you just held your breath because you always knew you were about to be a witness to something unimaginable. The Minnesota return at 8:24 was still the one that shocked me the most. On their turf, look at the unabated speed differential to all of the other players…it’s simply inhuman. Brad Nessler And Bob Griese knew it was a TD by the time he reached the 20 yard line….his own 20 yard line. He wasn’t even trying….he kind of put his head down around the 35 to 45….then just cruised.

hopefully Fleming can be somewhat like that. He’s crazy fast and explosive after the catch

Both Olave and Wilson went higher than Williams in the draft...Plus Jaxon Smith will ne back. So...Osu isn't exactly hurting for playmakers. Ginn was great be avoided contact a lot.

@@mattstrathis4328 there's been a bunch of "better" receivers compared to ginn. like santonio and gonzo were far superior at the position.
think what they meant was this type of flair and excitement. JSN is god-tier just like wilson and olave were, but none of them quite bring the show like teddy ginn did.
like only braxton comes close imo. jk could house it any play, he may be worth putting in the convo as well. but that might be about it.

Agreed but I'll take "better" over the flash any day.

Braxton is the most explosive college QB of all time ImO. His stats are sick.

Fastest college WR I've ever seen. Just a blur.

I have never seen anyone leave players in the dust like Ted Ginn. They could be 20 yards ahead of him and within a few seconds he's 10,15,20 yards ahead of them.

The combination of Smith and Ginn was a thing of beauty!

tOSU has had so many utterly brilliant stars like Ginn that I lose track of who played when. Embarrassment of riches, 2002-present.
