Dude that’s exactly how I feel! With how capable MTBs are, it’s fun to test them against raw, natural terrain. Don’t get me wrong, machine built flow trails are a lot of fun too but the rugged stuff is where it’s at to me! Thanks for watching
Great guess, and cool you know about goat springs! Hike around the Blake and Gubler trail and you’ll find them (keep climbing after icehouse and climb to the top of FR033 (it’s a steep one!) - I included the rock spires because they’re at the base of the mountain, which elevation wise is where they were storing stuff back in the day. Thanks for watching !
They probably get up to 20 feet tall, and if you were to continue climbing past the top of icehouse onto forest road 33, you’ll get to the Blake gubler trailhead, this is where you can hike up to the rock formations!
Jake and I have thrown down some heaters on this trail. So fun, but so nasty if you clip a lava rock. Good place to get the arms and hands used to a long descent!
Dude, right?! When I was watching this footage back i was surprised to see it cut it that close. It has obstacle avoidance however I’m not sure if it even saw the lines as an obstacle ! Thanks for watching 🎉

Another great video Pierce! I didn’t know the pioneer origins of icehouse. Very cool!
Thank you Scott! I hope this gets you excited to go ride :)
What a fun ride. I love trails that are for adventure not just a tailer made mtb trail.

Nice work dude. 👍🏻
Thanks lance! Check out the second downhill in this video sometime. Worth it!
Intersting history and ride. Thanks for the info!
I hope you try out this trail sometime ! Thanks!
Great video Pierce! I enjoy the short format too! I love icehouse! Still have yet to do mustang pass
Let’s do it together if you want! It does really well with water, and can be connected to Dino cliffs! Thank you for watching amigo :)
rugged is an understatement!
Such a fun challenge to hold flow and speed through some of those sections! Don’t clip your pedal…
also wondering about the towers of stone at opening and closing?? Goat springs?

Where are those fingers of stone in the opening and closing of the vid? And how tall are they roughly? Thanks!!

Thanks so much! I’m always looking for alternative things to do with the family when I go down there for a biking weekend. That’ll be really cool!
@@spicycoco1 I appreciate you taking the time to ask! Have a great weekend!
Holy h*ck this was sweet. I need to ride this trail!

Do you recommend climbing up Icehouse or Cottonwood Road if you can't shuttle
Personally, I would climb up icehouse to the broken mesa fork, climb broken mesa, and then loop around to the top of icehouse. Singletrack all day!
@@PiercesPOV is that accomplishable for mere mortals like the rest of us
@@WildMeff yes, it’ll be a big day but a good rugged adventure !
Your drone got way too close to those powerlines 🫣

Oh...a bicycle. I thought this was a dirt bike. You know what real men ride.
How would you know what real men do?
