Drew and Adam are such a dynamic duo, it's tough to say which is my favorite. Though, in the end, The Wedding Singer does win out but only by a hair because 50 First Dates is also just so, so good!
What about the wedding planner? Matthew McConaughey was so 🤣 talking about himself and the third person and JLo definitely rose to the comedy challenge... It's one of my favorites.
Some of the honorable mentions deserved an actual spot on here and I would have liked to have seen Something Borrowed, Runaway Bride and The Wedding Date on here!!
You left a lotttt of time out of "all time," including... The Philadelphia Story, It Happened One Night, Adam's Rib, Holiday Inn, You've Got Mail, Doc Holiday and everything from the 50s... but, what the hey... KDM
MOONSTRUCK!! This is such an incredible movie. My mom and I would watch this together when I was younger. Go figure, our other favorite was Mermaids which also stars Cher 😊❤
- Is *Scott Pilgrim* a rom-com? It had rom-com elements sure but does it count? Great movie though and I’m excited for the upcoming anime series! - Maybe because I haven’t seen *Notting Hill* in a while but I don’t recall a lot of laugh-out loud moments from that movie. (Humor is subjective after all) I think I need to rewatch it one day… - *Groundhog Day* is a rom-com? Haven’t seen it yet but I rarely see anyone that think of it as a rom-com… - I love *The Proposal* so much! It’s one of the only rom-coms that I’ve seen that made me laugh so hard! - At first I was a bit overwhelmed with the insane-ness of *How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days* but after re-watching it, I grew an appreciation for it and ended really liking it in the end. - *10 Things I Hate About You* and *My Big Fat Greek Wedding* are great picks!
Excellent list-many of my favorites are on it, especially “As Good as it Gets,” “The Proposal,” and “27 Dresses.” My list would also include “The Holiday,” “Something’s Gotta Give,” and “Along Came Polly.”
“in stitches”, The Proposal for sure. So cute!!! rip betty 😢 but the one that had me head over heals was Moonstruck 😍 i can’t explain it, but i love everything about that movie!!!! its even better when break down the psychology, energy and dynamic about it! i can’t can’t 😅 100/10 for me
WHERE DO I START? I would have to go by decades. I'll list my favorites from each later. Such a good list! This is like my 5th post I think! I swear this is the last one! I just finished and got excited that MBFGW was 1st. Then again, I'd watch John Corbett in anything 😊 Nia Vardalos is so adorable and relatable. Her family is hilarious! I love that her dad believes anything can be fixed with Windex 😂
Three of my favorite movies. While You Were Sleeping, Crazy, Stupid, Love and Easy A, all great movies. All well acted, with dedicated smart actors and either a very funny romance or just a great romantic movie. One movie I feel was left off this list is Wedding Date. It's definitely a great romcom.
@@Mikura39 I agree that it's overrated & that Richard Gere's character isn't believable. However, it's routinely described as a romcom & is hugely popular. It quickly made Julia Roberts one of the most popular & successful actresses in the world, as well as giving romcoms a comeback. If this had been a viewer vote, it'd have been top.
@@andrewq159 Maybe. But people’s opinions can change though. And I ask again, is it a really funny romcom? That’s what this video is about. Some romcoms are more romance focused than the comedy which I personally think Pretty Woman is one. It didn’t have any laugh out loud moments in my opinion.
Was late to seeing it and after getting hooked on This Is Us was interested in Dan Fogelman’s other work and really was enjoying the movie but thinking how different this was from the shocking connection reveals of This Is Us…until that very thing happened in Crazy Stupid Love. That revelation scene is wild and one of my favorite rom com scenes of all time
My wife is a rom-com devotee, so this list spoke to me: Most underrated: Always Be My Maybe. Should be on here for the wild celebrity cameo scene alone. But just consistently funny. Funniest: Maybe not fair, but 40-Year-Old Virgin and Coming to America are comedic juggernauts with a romantic plot. Definitely gut busters both of them. Undoubtedly funny, but kind of on a different level: The Classic ScrewBall Comedies. Some Like It Hot, Bringing Up Baby and It Happened One Night still stand the rest of time and are all-time movies.
I own most of these DVD's, with a few exceptions. In my opinion, you could have left off both Steve Carell movies, and Scott Pilgrim, in favor of 'The Princess Bride' (seriously the BEST rom-com in HISTORY), 'Pretty Woman', and 'You've Got Mail'. Even 'Sleepless in Seattle', 'Sixteen Candles' and '13 Going on 30' rank higher than some included on your list.
27 dresses is one of my favorite rom com movies it’s so good and funny. Me and my best friend love it so much. We quote it so often .i love 10 things I hate about you , Notting hill and when Harry met Sally , to all the boys I’ve loved before too
Why didn't you mention any of the old classic Rom-Coms like It Happened One Night with Clark Gable and Claudet Cobert or Pillow Talk with Doris Day and Rock Hudson?

Moonstruck should be #2A, When Harry Met Sally #2B, and My Best Friend's Wedding is also very underrated here. OTOH, Forgetting Sarah Marshall should be about #37 or lower, not #7, good grief! Pretty Woman!!!! #1 ❤
50 1st dates
Funnily enough, Sandra Bullock is American, while Ryan Reynolds is Canadian, the complete opposite of their "Proposal" characters! 😅
Pretty Woman, Sleepless in Seattle, Ever After…there are so many good ones! The list is good. There are just too many good Rom-coms. ❤
Kat and Bianca's father is one of my favorite characters in TTIHAY! "I don't care how dope his ride is" and "Those Dawson River kids" 😂
"I'm giving them ideas!"
Drew and Adam are such a dynamic duo, it's tough to say which is my favorite. Though, in the end, The Wedding Singer does win out but only by a hair because 50 First Dates is also just so, so good!
I also loved them in blended
50 first dates > Wedding singer
50 First Dates is so so problematic.
For me it's:
1. The Wedding Singer
2. Blended
3. 50 first dates.
@@cobrakaier238 Good choices! Can't go wrong with any of them!
The Wedding Singer is my personal favourite. The chemistry between Drew and Adam, and the hilarious perfect 80s tribute ticks every box
'Four Weddings and a Funeral' is easily top 5 on this list.
What about the wedding planner? Matthew McConaughey was so 🤣 talking about himself and the third person and JLo definitely rose to the comedy challenge... It's one of my favorites.
Bridget Jones's Diary is my personal número uno❤ can't believe it's just an honorable mention here😮
Same here, it’s my favorite too, it should be #1 not an honorable mention 🥲
Came here to say just that. And the sequel is even funnier and they do the books justice. My personal no. 1 and 2. So funny!.
_When Billy Met Sally_ is one of the most hilarious movies I've ever seen. I love the old couple interviews, and the diner scene is just perfect.
Harry, not Billy.
Love the woman with famous line "I'll have what she's having." She is director Rob Reiner's mother in a great cameo.
HARRY
WHMS, along with Pretty Woman (which bizarrely is absent) made romcoms popular again.
Harry, but played by Billy, lol!
All of the Bridgette Jones Diaries were great
Some of the honorable mentions deserved an actual spot on here and I would have liked to have seen Something Borrowed, Runaway Bride and The Wedding Date on here!!
LOOOVED something borrowed. How disappointed were you that the second movie never came out?
I'm surprised 13 going on 30 wasn't on the list or even as an honorable mention...
Pretty Woman should be on this list. However My Best Friends Wedding is one of my favorites.
