Hi there, this is so wonderful. Ẹ kú ṣẹ! Please could you tell us, how did you encourage your kids to respond to you in Yoruba so effortlessly, with only one parent being a native speaker - what was your approach please? My husband speaks Yoruba and I don't.
Am so sorry that this is coming late🙏I haven't noticed the comment. Our approach is OPOL ( One parent one language) and to never mix our mother tongue with English language, be focused, be disciplined and don't be discouraged, even when it seems like they don't understand the language
