New York Rangers goaltender Igor Shesterkin thanks his teammates, coaches, organization and family after beating out Jacob Markstrom and Juuse Saros to win the 2021-22 Vezina Trophy.
Watching him play in MSG will remain to be one of my best life memories. New York was absolutely amazing to see. And seeing a rangers game with you crazy Yorkers was beautiful man 😇 go Igor.

Imagine if Shesty had a functioning defense infront of him like Tampa... but nonetheless. Amazing season! Was fortunate to catch him live at MSG several times this season, including Lundquist Night and G6 vs Canes and G2 vs Bolts. MSG was electric!! III-GOR!

What I love about the game of hockey is seeing all other teams who are left who are chasing the Cup hard. I witnessed so many exciting games and it takes A LOT of will, skill and talent to be a champion. I heard Shesterkin’s name many times this season and many times, once his name was said by the announcer, it was followed by “Shesterkin is an amazing Goalie!” I am happy that he won the Vezina Award this year! Fully deserved for the season he’s had in net for us, I’m so happy for Igor. He’s going to join a very star-studded list of great goalies to play for our organisation. We were in the position we were hugely due to his amazing game winning performances night in night out. Hopefully Drury will make some smart additions to the blue line in the off-season and give Igor some better protection for next season, so he’s not doing it all on his own! LGR!

He is one year younger than Vasy. Vasy has 4 Stanley Cup finals series and 2 wins so far. I guess u could say he is better than Vasy ever will be. I’d take Vasy any and everyday.
Crazy thing is Shesty still has another notch or two he can go beyond what we saw from him this year. Over .950 save percentage and sub 2.00 GAA is doable. He actually was on pace for those historic numbers but hit a rough stretch towards the end of the regular season.
@@HouseOfHockey14 Shesty had a .935 save percentage during the 21-22 season. If he hadn't struggled in a handful of games down the stretch, his SP would have been damn near .950. So after a full NHL season and a playoff run under his belt can he improve on last season? I wouldn't be against it.

Yes Shesterkin struggled a little bit down the stretch, but what makes you think that he’s not gonna have a bad stretch at all next season? He would have to have almost no bad games at all to have a .950 save percentage. I don’t know how long you’ve been watching hockey, but I don’t think you understand how perfect he would have to be to have a .950 save percentage lol.
