  • On this episode of the Elon, Inc. podcast, Ed Ludow joins us to discuss Tesla's biggest layoffs to date and why Elon Musk's rationale may be more than just about cost reduction and productivity trib.al/qLXWTkv
    This week David, Dana and Max are joined by Bloomberg Technology co-host Ed Ludlow to take a deep dive into all things Tesla, in advance of today’s fateful earnings report. Things are looking increasingly bleak for the company and we'll soon know if the numbers match the mood set by last week's layoffs. Also discussed: BINGO! And then, is Elon Musk feuding with Tucker Carlson? Max seems to think so, Dana is not so sure.

      They did, they just don't want to bring it up because they want to be victims. There's a video from a guy and he describes it, they all got notified by email that they were let go.
      The video I just watched the guy opened his email while having the Tesla's auto pilot on for his hour and a half commute. He read it right after he left his house and thought "it was a mistake", choosing to ignore it and continue on. When he showed up sure enough he was let go.

I don't have to worry about the economy or job market. My job salary is expected to grow 5% over the next 3-5 years because not enough qualified workers.

All other CEO's at the time the plan was announced said that it was crazy and that they would never have taken a deal like that. So given that 80% of the investors voted YES on the plan and given that musk hit all his goals he should get paid. That's how all comission based saleries work. This is no different.

    What happens is that the companies put themselves in autopilot just like the government and start putting a lot of shit out without looking at the market! Then the owner comes in from the real world and asks, what the heck were you thinking? Where's the manager? He's on vacations again!

    Get rid of high maintenance and you benefit 3 fold. Unfortunately there’s some good in that bunch but I bet he’ll hire them back if they were truly good. It’s up to them if they go back, and it’s up to the CEO to make the tough decisions.

    Musk's $46 billion pay packet has got to come from somewhere.

    • @Unbiased321
      @Unbiased321 6 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @davesy6969 Musk's payment package was a 100% comission based salary. If Tesla didn't achive the goals, he would be getting ZERO. All other CEO's at the time the plan was announced said that it was crazy and that they would never have taken a deal like that. So given that 80% of the investors voted YES on the plan and given that musk hit all his goals he should get paid. That's how all comission based saleries work. This is no different.

    Open borders and cheap labor flowing into a country will always cause layoffs, homelessness, hunger and so on. That's why smart people make sure their country is protecting their borders. Sad to say but the American dream is over of generations to come.
