REALLY important information. Saves time plus the concepts of scaling are important to the modeling process.

I am a 64-year old former draftsman, and an avid fan of yours here in sketch up. I enjoy every video in creating things thru the app... very very informative and fun.
My only problem is on most of your tutorials, the picture of the item being created is quite small against the large background of the app. I would like to request if you would kindly scroll tthe mouse wheel to zoom-in on the item itself while you are working on it. This would be so helpful for me, even when I ambjust using my cellphone in bed at night.
Thanks a million and more power. God bless.

Thanks for watching @roughryderRS! Glad to hear you enjoy the videos.
We'll take note of having the model larger on screen. It makes sense since more and more people are watching on mobile devices!

Cool but how do you wrap it or bend it around something without manually adjusting each object? A straight line chain isn’t really usefully
    unless it hanging a light.

Using extension called "Fredo Scale". It has tools that you are looking for.

How did you hide and unhide parts of your drawing so quickly?

When you use the measuring tape and say you want to resize, what are you clicking? If I use the measuring tape and select the size it only measures to that size, it doesn't change the size. I seem to be missing something.

Hé great video tutorial again. I love watching every one of them, but I got a related question: Is there a way to make this chain flexible and wrap it around something round like a pole or something?

for such kind of advanced stuff you probably need a plugin for Sketchup or use tools like Blender that serve that purpose.

I couldn't tell how you rescaled using the tape measure, Please clear this up for me. Cheers

You could have just tape-measure-resized any of the component's existing lines

My doubt is, when you made the second group's component unique, all of them became an unique component. How to make a set of components different.

If they are selected at the same time, they all become a new component together!

Let’s see how rope is modeled… Three strand and double braid. Then make a coil of it.

SketchUp you will soon be irrelevant. Please make the updates better. Blender is listening to their community, please do the same for us.

I love SketchUP as it was my main work program for many years designing storefront pop up shops... I used to say "Ahh they are used for totally different things... Blender is for animation and SketchUp is for architectural design"..... but thats not the case anymore.

      Yep.
That's why I ignored Blender for years.
      Not anymore.
