    We start our adventure in 19 days. We are thinking to work and play in our van. This vid made me feel a little less concerned. Thanks heaps.

    After we did our lap last year I haven't had a chance to look at your vids for ages. Great to see you again and continuing to look so good, positive and passionate about helping people travel this beautiful country of ours. You provided great advice. I still owe you a dinner for all your help in getting us on the road, if you come through Sydney, message me. xx

    Thanks for this video, guys. I've talked about our plans with my bosses and their totally open to me working remotely. I work in an office-based job and will be the third person to take off and work around Australia for our organisation in the last two years! Things are definitely changing.

      I have worked in the UK as both Employed and Self-Employed and worked for a company for 5.5 years at home in my 3rd bedroom. Yes, sometimes it was boring (though I'd travel to meet customers from Yorkshire to Cardiff - driving 30,000 miles a year) but I could be at home during non-travel days and load the washing machine, hang-out the washing as well as doing my work. This was years before COVID and the thousands of people travelling to and from work is a total waste of time and money. Govts should be encouraging people to work from home but are scared that Huge Corporations will lose out. Simple, convert their office blocks into housing for the homeless or into another POSITIVE community use. The world is changing and about time!

    just found you guys. I have often wondered how people support themselves while travelling. Hubby and I are getting close to retiring but want to get some travel in before that happens. Some very sound advice. Glad to hear about Nakie hammocks, I've told my kids I want one for my birthday. Not sure if anyone has taken the hint, I'll find out in a few days. I guess there is Christmas. I have now subscribed and plan to watch through your videos.

    Hi Guys, I'm always fascinated by how people make money.
    Years ago back in UK I had a client who was a "Relief Post Office Manager" where he would run your Post Office anywhere in the UK and allow the current operators time off for a holiday or break. A bit like a locum doctor. The rest of the time he travelled in Thailand. I was always able to recall my clients occupations but not always their names. I had many teachers, doctors, middle managers, shopkeepers, business people. One guy sold off-cuts of lace, another biscuits and another was a guitar technician who worked for a famous UK band but was subcontracted to work with AC/DC, Cliff Richard, Brian May of Queen and other bands on European or World tours. The skills I learned in the military and in business have taken me to Kazakhstan, China for 6 years and now Thailand. It's just about communicating . . . and finding the opportunities. My travels have lasted 14 years so far. Thanks for your videos. Best wishes from Bangkok.

      Hi David, firstly thank you for your support of our channel, if is very appreciated! It is so interesting how people make money to do what they do and go where they go, we are always blown away how people make things work 👍😊 I actually worked (indirectly) for Queen (Brian May/Roger Taylor & Ben Elton ) touring Australia & Japan for a couple of years performing in a musical ‘We Will Rock You’. Awesome people, true legends!! 14 years so far is amazing - definitely keep talking about traveling Aus with your partner… hopefully she’ll be convinced! 👍😅🇦🇺 Happy New Year & Cheers, Paul

    Hi Guys, another brilliant video, lots of great advice. Have followed you both over all your travels. What you both produce content is always full of excellent advice, very in depth, accurate and from your hearts, that is very helpful for all caravaners. Congrats to you 3. Hope to catch up at the Caravan show. Cheers, Russ.

    Debt can be crushing there does come a point when you realise that is no longer viable. I use Dave Ramsey which got me out of debt as well we have just bought our first van outright (grant it, it is second hand but it’s mine)I’m now saving for a car as I’m moving out of my rental and staying with my friend in 8 weeks to save for my car.

    Hi guys I follow a young couple called Caravan Adventure Aus on TH-cam he is a plumber she is a barrister they have a coffee machine in the back of the van they make coffee for all the The people in the caravan park only have to sell 45 cups of coffee to make $200 and is only a couple of hours work per day he is also a plumber so when they go in caravan parks he does any work in the park or changing washes in taps fixing toilets for their rent really smart plus they get the TH-cam fee I wish I did that when I was in my 20s

    Don't you at times need a credit card while on the road??

    • @Wildernessadventuresoz
      @Wildernessadventuresoz 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You never need a credit card. I have the Karen credit card which is my own savings in a special account with seperate card. I treat it like a CC but it’s my own money and I make payments on it if I use it. Takes commitment but works mine is 2k

    1 hour of video, is one hour of my life wasted. Great headline, but, absolutely no actual real answers to the question. A lot of "there are loads of jobs out there", but bugger all specifics.
