Repetition and consistency are two key things, and also keep in mind, the Quran is not some kind of grade 1 exam which you’ll complete and then abandon it.The Quran is something which needs time and dedication. If you abandon the Quran you’ll forget it completely
It’d be nice if you mentioned revision tips and struggles at the beginning of your journey. So that beginners can relate, be motivated and prep themselves mentally for the journey. Not everyone in the beginning of their journey revises a juz a day especially in the beginning of their journey. Please do a video perhaps a discussion with this and different shayuukh in the BEGINNING of their journey. BaarakAllahu feek for your efforts!!!!
I listened to a video of the brother on the left reciting surah Yusuf a long time ago & I wish that video was still around Subhanallah. in’sha’Allah you can post it on here biithnillah.
If you have memorised it then you can revised it by reading it .and this is very much encouraged by the scholars . If you do it very regularly you can remember even where the ayah lays on the page !
The best revision is the strength of the 1st Hifz The first time you are memorising must be the highest number of repetition ever 100 you wont forget for a month 210 you wont forget for 6 months 360 you wont forget whole year 700 you wont forget for 2 years 1500 you will never forget THIS IS JUST AN OPINION BY EXPERIENCE BUT THE FACT IS THE BEST REVISION IS YOUR 1st HIFZ REPETITION NUMBER The first 3 options still need minimum revision
In the past I memorized half page in an hour without any problems. Now sometimes I come to a page where I need ONE WHOLE OUR for 2-3 verses. After I learned them, one hour later I forgot at least 50% of them. Then I learn another time and still struggle. Then I am so annoyed that I put the Mushaf away and do some other thing, because I think I am wasting my time. What can I do. I am now finishing the 4. Juz, but I have problems with beeing annoyed very very often. I listen so the storys of people, they learned every day some hours like me, and then they got so good after some time. And when I hear this storys it makes me more and more annoyed .....................
Not everyone has the same level of understanding so don't get annoyed by some people who had it easy because there's some people who has harder than you too , I would recommend you to listen to quran more often so that it may become easy when reciting May Allah make it easy for you keep it up
The more you are repeating the aya to memorise the more ajar you getting, one harf ten rewards. Renew your intention and remind your self of the reasons you memorising, make dua also. And if you get frustrated, then have break and go back to it later. Also reading tafsir of those aya helps to.
I can relate to this. I always felt like I needed to put much more effort into my memorization than others, and I would get annoyed that I still won't get it perfect. But I do remember being so frustrated and complaining to my teacher and she said you will get more reward for your struggle. So let this be your motivation, that Inshallah through your struggle you will be rewarded more inshallah.
Sheikh Yahya calmness while reciting the Quran is out of this world! Barakallah for the videos.

Can someone please tell me which Surah he was reciting at the end ?
Surah furqan 69 onwards
You know the furuqan centre in Manchester ? well the name of that centre has a lot to do with the sura, the sheik was recitating
3:10 How can you say and laugh at such a thing
