You make some good points. I do want to note that on the programming side it's not a bigger challenge to work with more detailed graphics (they just have more triangles). So yes this does take up resources to render it for the computer and yes it will take graphics designers longer to create all the models (because higher detail). Usually games include stuff to turn down the details of the graphics so they can be played on lower end PC's. There are a lot of other reasons why games demand so much more these days (also usually to do with rendering), which are sometimes harder to turn down (for lower end users) because then it will cause a lot of bugs. I do miss the older feel but can also appreciate the advancements made for the graphics we get for some games these days, they are almost real. E.g. Detroit become human would have been worse if the graphics are worse. So dependent on the genre of the game I think you can be correct. Thanks for the vid, I enjoyed it :)
