I honestly just play Franchise mode which I actually enjoy. I create a player, put him on a team (Bulls) and just have control over everything. Only thing that I wish they’ll add is better fan interaction, make the fans louder when you hit a big shot, have them constantly engaging so you can feel the energy. I would also love if they add a feature where we can choose the color of the shirts the fans wear during the playoffs.

Tbh quick drops were never an issue until limitless takeoff came out. I’ve used straight arm tomahawks and quick drops since 2k15 but it was never this cheesy until limitless takeoff was a badge

The vc prices going up is ridiculous on its own but 2k also making it harder to grind vc is even crazier in current gen you can grind a build from 60 - 90 ovr in like 3-4 days I’ve speedrun this grind and finished in 12 hours but on next gen it takes a week at least which is wild hope that they don’t make it nearly impossible to grind builds without spending money

I think it would be a dope addition if they make to where if you consistently out perform you stats after you have maxed out your player you can receive a boost in your max rating by 1 or 2 points(nothing too crazy). Example: if I have an 80 perimeter defense but I consistently play above that by predicting where the opponent is going and getting stops without fouls etc.. that gives the grading system more meaning as well.

Personally this game needs a balanced builder and better dribble moves fix the game where every build can be solid not just a bunch of 6’8 and 6’9 because it kills the diversity in the game. Fix pro am idk why their ranked times do a normal ranked records and then weekly ranked tourney that give a vc reward and a prize.
2k23,21,22, was poorly executed. They need to stop dropping the overall when u get 2 99 which is a waste if u reach it. We need the old feel of 2k back like 17,18,19,20. Needs better defense as well and be able to change servers

defense is fine, dribbling against a comp pro am team is already hard enough. The thing is to play the best defense you have to have good chemistry with teammates and do rotations. Only thing I'd say maybe could be buffed is paint shot contests
The issue if your out of position you can still contest in the paint and on perimeter defense. Just like live 19 if you haven’t positioned yourself you should pay for it if we’re talking real basketball

I totally disagree with your opinion on the REC. They're way too many players that will goin in the REC with a squad of 3-4 and will only pass the ball to each other. If anything 2k should find a way to penalize players for not recording a certain amount of assist and make a it a mandatory requirement for your teammate grade. Especially point guards. Also place more penalty's on PGs. Like if a teammate failed to get at least 6 shot attempts that should effect your your status meter. EX: BAD TEAM PLAY SHOULD DROP YOUR HOF STATUS METER HALF WAY. People make PGs just to get more shots up. We gotta discourage ppl from making PGs

I think when someone gets a quick drop, it should be easier to push them out of the animation (especially with badges like anchor)... something small, but it would help a lot
Nah, you can’t penalize people for standing out of bounds until you do something about squads in Rec and make the game more solo friendly. I’ve played hundreds of games in the Rec and I can’t count the number of times these 2 and 3 man squads come in there and only pass the ball back and forth between each other. You can do everything right. Play D. Get boards. Kick the ball out. Space the floor. Set screens. And at the end of the game finish with 2 pts and 2 shot attempts. So penalizing the solo player for acting out isn’t getting to the root of the problem which is the squads that come in there with their premade teammates that they only want to pass to and help score while leaving the solo players out.

I think a good quality of life change is when you’re playing your games in MyCareer/Team, there was more reactions from the benches and crowed, especially when posterizing players, hitting Long range 3s, and half/full court buzzer shots. The game feels a little lifeless after a while
nice to see all the gaming communities see that games aren’t just games anymore. take cod for example, their recent cease and desist to erase our good call of duties. it’s almost the same way with 2k, with 23 being on sale for so long they’re going to pass 2k20’s millions of copies sold, erasing that good history. & now we’re getting into cross play..
Bigger rec courts. No wierd lag and delay. Making all jumpshots viable as long as you time them right and give 100 percent green release on perfect timing. No more adrenaline. Add more dribble explosion but limit quick change left right cheese. Improve defense where body to body slows down dribbler. Include a real ankle breaker system that activates when a defender reads in the wrong direction if the dribbler shakes the opposite direction.
We need to accept that we live in a generation where even if the same game releases we will play it. Any sports game including Fifa or Efootball or Nba etc. They all make use of lazy new game making and we will buy it and play it. Easy money for them. I miss the times before online when game developers had to really do their best to make a good game for us to buy. Now we live in a generation where big names get buyer because of Ultimate Team or Myteam etc.

I genuinely do not understand why they refuse to invest such a nominal amount of money into PC Anticheat/Crossplay for such a large company.. Have they not seen the massive success of Elden Ring, Hogwarts Legacy, and countless other recent PC only titles? Even if they drop 2K24 as a CARBON COPY of 2K23 that simply has an anticheat it would sell tons of copies on pc. It is ridiculous how badly they neglect PC year after year, especially given the fact that adding true crossplatform with an anticheat across all platforms would DRASTICALLY increase sales, making 2K24 their most successful game to date easily.
Yes, I’ve also run into that exact same problem where I’m not even running point and I’m with two other people in the rec I’m a wreck play your only guy I don’t like park that’s just preference my opinion but they’ll come in and if they don’t get the ball right away or maybe they don’t feel like they’ve gotten it enough they start standing out a bounce. They should inquire a severe penalty for it, and the kick out prompt should prompt after the person does it two times in a row or maybe the third time But it shouldn’t be a kick out system to just kick a person out because then you’re just gonna have random people kicking you out because they feel some type of way I feel if you play defense throughout the game you will get rewarded there’s no reason why someone shouldn’t be getting rewarded. If you’re playing defense all the time and passing share the ball I’m tired of this one V1 play don’t come to the rec if you’re not ready to play team bowl I’m all about team ball and I like sharing the rock I like making it exciting building a team unfortunately only got two other guys that are deeply committed missing a point guard and a power forward

They need to change the shot contest system im tired of people putting one hand up and the contest is at 40% and you miss. In the nba if a player gets a hand up 70% of the time that shit is going in, that’s not enough to make the player miss every time they get a hand up
WARNING: LONG WINDED GRIPES WITH 2K: I never really vibed with 2k (online) until about 5months ago (I would only play locally with my buddy because of how much I dislike the way online play felt). Its crazy they haven't ironed out some of the broken mechanics in the game. My friend who plays religiously in myteam talked me into playing this year (2k23) because of the co-op triple threat. Gave me a 16bit Jonathan Issac to start. Its been relatively enjoyable since. But the garbage (unrealistic) speed boosting out of moves, the fact that it is easier to shoot a fading corner 3 (as opposed to a regular 3), and the bullshit dunk animations that end up two ways; You either bring the ball through 2 people to get a dumb dunk or get blocked by someone who didn't even contact the ball. There is also what I would call a random contest mechanic. You can have two defenders beat and on the other side of the rim, but trying to lay up a ball on the opposite side leads your player to put way to much power on it and basically throw it over the rim (specially from a neutral position). Its not even simulation basketball. Its arcade basketball. Screens will suck you in despite you moving in a completely different direction. AND THE BIGGEST THING, STEALS.... How broken is this system.... You are better off turning your back to the ballhandler and ass checking the ball out of their hand rather than facing up and trying to time a steal. 80% of the time they will swing in a direction that's not even close to the ball (same for blocks, its garbage how trash block attempts can be in this game). Or if you try to intercept a pass, your player will not react and instead, wait until after the ball is passed and then foul the recipient. Or they will swing their arm in a completely irrelavent direction and be taken out of the play. I understand a need to dull down some mechanics to make the game playable and enjoyable to your avg player, but it's often too much in that regard. I shouldn't be in a passing lane, and have a ball go past my face on the right while I wave to the crowd with my left hand and the guy in the corner hit an open 3 because Im stuck in an waving animation. Same for dunks/layups. Over half the time its like the player is blind and swinging away from where the ball is actually going up and to the basket. They need to cut back on all these fancy ass dunk animations that bring the ball back and to the defender. You can have someone beat to the rim, but some trash animation will allow them to knock it out of your hand while your doing a 540 double windmill between the legs dunk. IDK why they feel that every dunk needs to be a 10/10/10 in the dunk contest. Yesterday I was playing with a 7"4 center, the opposing team shot and missed a 3. I went up and grabbed the rebound and the game decided I put the ball through the bottom of the basket. It awarded the opposing team possession. Like how does that exist in a game thats been around this long. Also, the BS hang on the rim like Spiderman animation that literally eliminates you from playing defense once you score????? They need to expand on the stamina system. There should be a soft/hard steal attempt implamented. tapping the steal button should never result in you huggin the ballhandler. You should be able to poke at he ball with a tap, and sell out for a steal with a button hold. Both of which should drain stamina accordingly. AI also needs to be reworked. In 3threat online, if a player has a CPU guarding them, they can simply do a snatch back for an open 3 80% of the time.. It is dogshit. There needs to be adaptive AI that adjusts to what a player is doing. You shouldn't be able to dribble up, hit two cross overs, then a snatch back for 3. OVER, AND OVER, AND OVER. Half the time it doesn't even matter when you direct the CPU teammate to SMOTHER (coming from some one who often plays co-op triple threat with only one other actual player).

I totally stopped playing 2k, I loved the simulation of the older 2k’s and we used to play 5 v 5 on/offline. I wish they’d stop sacrificing the 5 v 5 simulation.
They could do SO much simple stuff to make the game better but refuse to and keep recycling old content. Give us stats on attempts for everything raw numbers. Maybe players wouldn't sell as much if they see they reached 74 times that game and walked away with 4 steals. Add more colors for Rec jerseys. Rec streaks not just park Every 5 games the the courts flames change colors. Add new fall and break animations each season. And for the love of God let us wear and customize shoes iNDiViDUALLY!!! Small things make big differences.

ya, im a good 2k player and ill be in rec and get the ball first time and if i hold the ball longer than 2 seconds i get timeouts called on me. I can literally not take a single shot through 3 quarters and have 11 assists and once i take one shot people be saying pass the ball.. Its 50/50 though 50% of time i play with cool people and play as a team and other 50% its idiots and kids who dont pass

I spent 130 to not even max out one build. I stop playing 23 I forgot but the reason vc jus too expensive it’s that I can’t afford it. I can afford it but that money can be used on something else. And the game jus horrible in general I haven’t touched 23 since October before I buy 24 I HAVE to see other people play it first to see how it is or HOPEFULLY they have a demo

Servers needing to be better for 2k to go cross platform isn't an excuse not to go cross platform, it's a necessary proof to get to the point where they *can* go cross platform. Cross platform play is generally a lower priority for me than servers. I would personally want proof of better servers *before* the game goes cross platform. It's that important. Better servers *have* to come first. It's non-negotiable so as to avoid a cross platform mess

They need to have a option that let's you shoot with the same lag as online so when your online your not trying to learn in game

I totally disagree with your opinion on the REC. They're way too many players that will goin in the REC with a squad of 3-4 and will only pass the ball to each other. If anything 2k should find a way to penalize players for not recording a certain amount of assist and make a it a mandatory requirement for your teammate grade. Especially point guards. Also place more penalty's on PGs. Like if a teammate failed to get at least 6 shot attempts that should effect your your status meter. EX: BAD TEAM PLAY SHOULD DROP YOUR HOF STATUS METER HALF WAY. People make PGs just to get more shots up. We gotta discourage ppl from making PGs

Nah, you can’t penalize people for standing out of bounds until you do something about squads in Rec and make the game more solo friendly.
I’ve played hundreds of games in the Rec and I can’t count the number of times these 2 and 3 man squads come in there and only pass the ball back and forth between each other. You can do everything right. Play D. Get boards. Kick the ball out. Space the floor. Set screens. And at the end of the game finish with 2 pts and 2 shot attempts.
So penalizing the solo player for acting out isn’t getting to the root of the problem which is the squads that come in there with their premade teammates that they only want to pass to and help score while leaving the solo players out.

I think a good quality of life change is when you’re playing your games in MyCareer/Team, there was more reactions from the benches and crowed, especially when posterizing players, hitting Long range 3s, and half/full court buzzer shots. The game feels a little lifeless after a while

Bigger rec courts. No wierd lag and delay. Making all jumpshots viable as long as you time them right and give 100 percent green release on perfect timing. No more adrenaline. Add more dribble explosion but limit quick change left right cheese. Improve defense where body to body slows down dribbler. Include a real ankle breaker system that activates when a defender reads in the wrong direction if the dribbler shakes the opposite direction.
We need to accept that we live in a generation where even if the same game releases we will play it. Any sports game including Fifa or Efootball or Nba etc. They all make use of lazy new game making and we will buy it and play it. Easy money for them. I miss the times before online when game developers had to really do their best to make a good game for us to buy. Now we live in a generation where big names get buyer because of Ultimate Team or Myteam etc.

I genuinely do not understand why they refuse to invest such a nominal amount of money into PC Anticheat/Crossplay for such a large company.. Have they not seen the massive success of Elden Ring, Hogwarts Legacy, and countless other recent PC only titles? Even if they drop 2K24 as a CARBON COPY of 2K23 that simply has an anticheat it would sell tons of copies on pc. It is ridiculous how badly they neglect PC year after year, especially given the fact that adding true crossplatform with an anticheat across all platforms would DRASTICALLY increase sales, making 2K24 their most successful game to date easily.
Yes, I’ve also run into that exact same problem where I’m not even running point and I’m with two other people in the rec I’m a wreck play your only guy I don’t like park that’s just preference my opinion but they’ll come in and if they don’t get the ball right away or maybe they don’t feel like they’ve gotten it enough they start standing out a bounce. They should inquire a severe penalty for it, and the kick out prompt should prompt after the person does it two times in a row or maybe the third time But it shouldn’t be a kick out system to just kick a person out because then you’re just gonna have random people kicking you out because they feel some type of way I feel if you play defense throughout the game you will get rewarded there’s no reason why someone shouldn’t be getting rewarded. If you’re playing defense all the time and passing share the ball I’m tired of this one V1 play don’t come to the rec if you’re not ready to play team bowl I’m all about team ball and I like sharing the rock I like making it exciting building a team unfortunately only got two other guys that are deeply committed missing a point guard and a power forward

They need to change the shot contest system im tired of people putting one hand up and the contest is at 40% and you miss. In the nba if a player gets a hand up 70% of the time that shit is going in, that’s not enough to make the player miss every time they get a hand up

WARNING: LONG WINDED GRIPES WITH 2K:
I never really vibed with 2k (online) until about 5months ago (I would only play locally with my buddy because of how much I dislike the way online play felt). Its crazy they haven't ironed out some of the broken mechanics in the game. My friend who plays religiously in myteam talked me into playing this year (2k23) because of the co-op triple threat. Gave me a 16bit Jonathan Issac to start. Its been relatively enjoyable since. But the garbage (unrealistic) speed boosting out of moves, the fact that it is easier to shoot a fading corner 3 (as opposed to a regular 3), and the bullshit dunk animations that end up two ways; You either bring the ball through 2 people to get a dumb dunk or get blocked by someone who didn't even contact the ball. There is also what I would call a random contest mechanic. You can have two defenders beat and on the other side of the rim, but trying to lay up a ball on the opposite side leads your player to put way to much power on it and basically throw it over the rim (specially from a neutral position). Its not even simulation basketball. Its arcade basketball. Screens will suck you in despite you moving in a completely different direction. AND THE BIGGEST THING, STEALS.... How broken is this system.... You are better off turning your back to the ballhandler and ass checking the ball out of their hand rather than facing up and trying to time a steal. 80% of the time they will swing in a direction that's not even close to the ball (same for blocks, its garbage how trash block attempts can be in this game). Or if you try to intercept a pass, your player will not react and instead, wait until after the ball is passed and then foul the recipient. Or they will swing their arm in a completely irrelavent direction and be taken out of the play. I understand a need to dull down some mechanics to make the game playable and enjoyable to your avg player, but it's often too much in that regard. I shouldn't be in a passing lane, and have a ball go past my face on the right while I wave to the crowd with my left hand and the guy in the corner hit an open 3 because Im stuck in an waving animation. Same for dunks/layups. Over half the time its like the player is blind and swinging away from where the ball is actually going up and to the basket. They need to cut back on all these fancy ass dunk animations that bring the ball back and to the defender. You can have someone beat to the rim, but some trash animation will allow them to knock it out of your hand while your doing a 540 double windmill between the legs dunk. IDK why they feel that every dunk needs to be a 10/10/10 in the dunk contest. Yesterday I was playing with a 7"4 center, the opposing team shot and missed a 3. I went up and grabbed the rebound and the game decided I put the ball through the bottom of the basket. It awarded the opposing team possession. Like how does that exist in a game thats been around this long. Also, the BS hang on the rim like Spiderman animation that literally eliminates you from playing defense once you score????? They need to expand on the stamina system. There should be a soft/hard steal attempt implamented. tapping the steal button should never result in you huggin the ballhandler. You should be able to poke at he ball with a tap, and sell out for a steal with a button hold. Both of which should drain stamina accordingly. AI also needs to be reworked. In 3threat online, if a player has a CPU guarding them, they can simply do a snatch back for an open 3 80% of the time.. It is dogshit. There needs to be adaptive AI that adjusts to what a player is doing. You shouldn't be able to dribble up, hit two cross overs, then a snatch back for 3. OVER, AND OVER, AND OVER. Half the time it doesn't even matter when you direct the CPU teammate to SMOTHER (coming from some one who often plays co-op triple threat with only one other actual player).

Quick drop can't be blocked they only make them miss the dunk but its rare to happen. So i think it could be kept in the game but make it blockable

ya, im a good 2k player and ill be in rec and get the ball first time and if i hold the ball longer than 2 seconds i get timeouts called on me. I can literally not take a single shot through 3 quarters and have 11 assists and once i take one shot people be saying pass the ball.. Its 50/50 though 50% of time i play with cool people and play as a team and other 50% its idiots and kids who dont pass

I spent 130 to not even max out one build. I stop playing 23 I forgot but the reason vc jus too expensive it’s that I can’t afford it. I can afford it but that money can be used on something else. Servers needing to be better for 2k to go cross platform isn't an excuse not to go cross platform, it's a necessary proof to get to the point where they *can* go cross platform. Cross platform play is generally a lower priority for me than servers. I would personally want proof of better servers *before* the game goes cross platform. It's that important. Better servers *have* to come first. It's non-negotiable so as to avoid a cross platform mess
