    This man is the literacy of the word GENIUS. best comic book writer if you ask me.

    Alan's dislike for the comic book industry is really down to how shabby he feels the big two treat artists and writers. He should be applauded for it. He also is incredibly ambitious to turn the art form into something more than superheroes. Again, this is something he should be applauded for

      At the same time Stan Lee didn't create any of his own characters and became Scrooge McDuck while the real creators were still collecting benefits

      The comics medium has always been about much more than superheroes, but ironically it took writers like Alan Moore using superheroes in more subversive ways to direct a wider audience to it.

    Its refreshing to see an artist who is past middle-age, who is greatly ambitious, and who instills excitement MORE so than many new faces on the scene. I respect that he is coming into a field (movies) that he is essentially untrained in, and is doing something new and different and trying to pull our eyes, even for a second, away from the mind-dumbing crap that fills our cinemas today. This man we need to watch.

    I take his negative words about comics as constructive criticism. It's time for the term Graphic Novel to mean something.

    So fun to come back to this after Lindelof's disrespectful attempt at capitalizing on Moore's work.

      From wikipedia: "Watchmen received widespread critical acclaim for its performances, writing, visuals, score, and expansion of the source material, as well as commendation for highlighting the 1921 Tulsa race massacre. The series received several awards, including 26 nominations and 11 wins at the 72nd Primetime Emmy Awards - the most for any show in 2020".
      There's no arguing with facts, "buddy".

      CinemaGeek It probably wouldn't have but it could have been handled better than the movie. The movie was very poor attempt to bring the graphic novel to life.

      +MrChibiluffy He's not grouchy. He's just calling it what it is.
      It's also quite impressive such comments are coming from a comic book writer - it means he has a very level-headed outlook on his work.
      Smart guy.

      The more Moore hates them the better they are

    • @Pyro-Moloch
      @Pyro-Moloch 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      it's not that his early works are bad, it's just that his newer works are much better, and that all the other stuff is terrible. Even though I do read superhero comic books sometimes, I do agree with him. I realise the only thing that draws me to them is my childhood memories, so that means sometimes I'm emotionally retarded, lol.

      he is not got "destroyed", he signed contract and he did everything according it and recieved check after that. This is how stuff works in real life, no more or less.
