Hands down one of the best martial arts movies ever!!! So underrated!! Why doesn't Spike TV play this? They play the freaking Steven Segal marathon and they cant play this? Blood Sport and A Perfect Weapon were the best ever!!
i have always wanted to train with master Lo the actor is so convincing who plays him in the genuine approach to kenpo. I am lucky I found a parker style dojo I train in now .
I remember being a kid watching reruns of this on showtime waiting just to hear this tune. Still sounds great, witness the strength is another favorite
Jeff Speakman at the time of this movie was a 5th degree black belt in Kenpo Karate and a student of the late great Ed Parker and has since develop his own style of Kenpo Karate called Kenpo 5.0
Gracias! La película es "El arma perfecta" (The perfect weapon) de 1991 protagonizada por uno de los máximos exponentes del Kenpo Americano Jeff Speakman y ésta canción fué utilizada en su banda sonora. También la tengo subtitulada.
the big guy he fights at 4:37 Professor Toru Tanaka reminds me of Harold Sakata (1920-1982) from james bond movie Goldfinger so alike in looks and build
i dig this movie, was training in kenpo at the time, still naive and wide eyed (no offense) so i was all in. was a fun time, and i still like kenpo and it's part of my practice..
If I may comment on this aside from both spellings being used at the same time in early 1900's Hawaii - KEMPO seems to be associated with more traditional combative arts these days (eg. Shorinji Kempo or "Shaolin Temple Boxing") whereas KENPO seems to be associated with more modified/altered ‘modernized’ versions these days, brought to the USA by Master Edmund K Parker (who got in a lot of street fights and added his experiences to modifying Kenpo Karate). I trained in American Kenpo in Canada for a while and saw the differences when I looked things up (early internet days with no internet heh, and where I lived had no Kempo dojo around). HTH anyone a bit anyway
Another one of my favorite martial art movies of all time.In my opinion it could not be further from the truth from Jeff speak man martial art real ability. I have seen over 2000 martial arts movie I can tell who is real or someone just acting and he is for real especially in his art kenpo. You don't get that good without hard work years of training hours. I see its more of an continuity scientific fighting system an offensive art it does not show you much of defense but more to the point of street fighting with no mercy no nonsense approach towards fighting in general hand to hand combat with combination with your legs elbows knees not all martial arts bring you that unique ingredient this one this is one of the deadliest.
@ Nathan Ingram I agree Speakman would have made a great Johnny Cage if New Line Cinema approached him. Still I enjoyed Linden Ashby performance in the film we got. Heck if another big studio had picked him up after Paramount dropped the ball when The Perfect Weapon underperformed, he might have been the next Chuck Norris.
This guy is a hell of a actor here ln monsco doing a movie and want to do another one in india, have a great part for him. Jack Charles preaident the ,Royal lifestyle-, monaco-miami
Chuck Norris, Bruce Lee, Steven Segal, Jeff Speakman, Jet Li, Jean Claude Van Damn, Jackie Chan, Patrick Swayze, Wesley Snipes, Chou Yun Fat, men that make an art out of kicking ass

True! Stevan Seagul is bullshit!

One of the best scenes imo from this movie. Song and perfect moves.
I remember when this movie first came out. He immediately became my favorite martial artist and still is to this day. 2022
Bruce Lee is faster
No offense people
💯I was just thinking of my early training. And I love him just as much as bruce.
This used to be one of my all time favorite martial arts movies! I always thought Jeff Speakman was so much cooler than Van Damme!
That is because he very much is cooler than JCVD. =) 10 years is never too late to remind you of this fact!

GOD BLESS THE Martial Arts 🙏
I counted at least...3? 4? nut shots here. Love it!
My karate school I use to go to is like kenpo but we call it kempo I love this movie
@Pedro Sepulveda Kenpo its how to must be write and Kempo it how to pronounce, Kenpo meanign The law of Fist, Japanese - Ken (fist) Po (law)

I’m surprised Jeff Speakman didn’t become a much bigger movie star than he did
"TIGER IS WHAT I KNOW!"
It is a shame a great movie like this is not out on dvd, could get the VHS and do a VHS to dvd transfer I guess
I was an Orange belt with purple stripe when I seen this on the big screen when it first came out!
J love this movie this is my favorite martial art film 🥋🥷🥊👍💪

My favorite fight scene from this movie is the gym scene he really broke those Guy's down.Shut' em down
This was totally fkn awesome
You can take this hot track and put it to any Martial Arts movie and make it a 1000 times better.
THE HITMAN...
This music and this actor are good "d+".
@boringk16 Thanks for the comment.
He who hesitates, mediates in a horizontal position!
Lmao @ the ending...
That big bad guy in the end is also from 3 Ninjas
This is perhaps the only rap-style song that I actually like. Nearly all other rap songs are thumbs down in my opinion.
this soundtrack ,as many rap style hits from 90's, were composed by two German electronic pop composer. Can't remember their names.
that's because you suck as a music fitted you f****** f**
Somehow, I suspect the genre will survive without your fandom. If not just barely.
He was Sub Zero in the running man, as well!!
appreciate this
1:10 YES!! NINJAGO !! MOVIE ~2!!!
awesome...this was pretty much the only movie on kempo
Snap! Power! Thanos?
It's all Starlord's fault.
thanks for your comment!! =)
una gran pelicula, que lastima que ultimamente todas son mas efectos especiales y se alejan de la realidad, hace falta otra asi!
Song played at dads funeral.. got kicked out of a bar hours later for playing this song on reapeat 20 times
This guy is the real deal. Not a Steven Seagal
My heart is the tiger my way of thinking is the dragon I have got the power
tiger knows his weakness it his pride, while the dragon knows his weakness is his strength!
Now i want to go out and go fight something :)
I watch this a lot when im drunk and then go hit the punching bag doing kung fu on it
Good Lesson Sensei ! :)
Jeff speakman is a baaaaaad dude.

@DarthVaportech I thought he did make more...
Jeff Speakman is the real deal

This guy is a hell of a actor here ln monsco doing a movie and want to do another one in india, have a great part for him.

Jeff should of been "Johnny Cage" if the Mortal Kombat movie franchise would of been decent.
Chuck Norris, Bruce Lee, Steven Segal, Jeff Speakman, Jet Li, Jean Claude Van Damn, Jackie Chan, Patrick Swayze, Wesley Snipes, Chou Yun Fat, men that make an art out of kicking ass
Yeah man!
class film
That is so true. The goal is always to become a dragon not a tiger.
kenpo enthusiasts . is master Lo's dojo a real karate school? or only a set? I know some times they film at actual places. whats everyones thoughts.
THIS IS BEST!
“Taught you” there Sensei.
