Did you know that Bali celebrates its own New Year's Day called Nyepi, which is a day of silence, fasting, and meditation. The entire island shuts down for 24 hours, with no lights, fires, or vehicles allowed, and people are expected to stay inside their homes and hotels in complete silence. 🤓🌎

Fun fact for you - we were on a tight schedule and wanted to stop in on Bali on that day and were so confused when we saw no flights! So unfortunately one less day in Bali, but still excited!

@@sha1841 It's like gastro...... but worse lol. usually from drinking water or eating food that was prepped in water your body isn't used to and hasn't got the immune system built up for it. Can get it from handling things like money and not washing your hands before you eat. We were super onto making sure we didn't do any of these things, but I still managed to get sick that first time!

Awesome guide Christian! I will add that a hike up Mt Batur is one of the best things I did in Bali. I didn’t get to do this until my 6th trip to Bali. I’ve also got so many thing I haven’t done yet and I guess explains why people really need to visit a few times to fully experience the island.
