After watching all episodes, i still don't get why all the ladies were against Zari. It felt like borderline bullying.
And everytime Annie says, "I'm very happy." It seems like she's trying to convince herself of that. Her eyes just show sadness.
The only person that Zari wronged was Annie and she apologized. Khanyi and Nadia just wanted to bully and belittle Zari for no reason. When she said that she intimidates people, I didn't get it until Khanyi got all worked up on the train for no reason

Up until Annie's bridal celebration, I think Zari showed problematic behaviour and did not seem to fully understand where she had gone wrong in the Annie's situation. She weaponised Annie's history with her husband and seemed like she wanted Annie to be insecure towards her and feel intimidated. To suggest that Annie thought she had slept with her husband was also too much especially given that they had been hanging out together before the husband showed up, so she had opportunities to discuss this with Annie and chose not to. The moment in which Zari chose to do this and HOW she did it is very indicative of her character. It's undeniable how beautiful Zari is, and she has a level of class to her, I was captivated by her when she walked in on Arabian night, and up until the Annie situation she was my favourite. Despite developing a dislike towards, the girls ganging up on her was too much that's for sure. However, as people are suggesting, I don't believe Khanyi is jealous of her, throughout the show, she showered Zari with strong compliments. I believe Khanyi wants to be/remain the matriach of the group, so went overboard when she felt as though Zari was actively trying to come for the role.
Eliminating multiple dynamics of how the friction came to be and people simply reducing it to others being jealousy of Zari beauty. This is why being beautiful in this society, it's easier to be a shitty person as people often absolve you from accountability, and resort to others just being jealous.

I feel like Zari was wrong for treating Annie the way she did regarding her (2Baba) husband situation but it's also no excuse for how Khanyi and Annie treated her on the train. I don't think how she personalized her appreciation speech was wrong. It came from a good place and if anyone on the train had a problem, it was only right that they respectfully addressed it and not give those petty facial expressions (attitude). Technically that was bullying. Also, as for Zari's attitude from that day(train) on wards, It was necessary to protect her peace considering the fact that non of the ladies want to admit that they are intimidated by her. Ganging up and telling boss lady that she is the drama is unfair coz they all are. My fav is Zari, Periodt!!!

Its kinda shocking how she started preaching about how she hates being disrespected.

I was uncomfortable with how everyone attacked Zari just because she tried to be a host of her own party. That's basic etiquette when someone organises a party they thank everyone for attending. Then Khanyi and Annie attacked her it was bullying then they got Swanky and Nadia to join in on bullying Zari. It came across very nasty and messy.
Zari seems like one of those girls that have to have the attention at all times. The girls were definitely intimidated by her presence as well.

I still don't understand where the bad energy towards Zari is coming from and I was mad about it because I don't believe it was warranted to the extent of the hate she was getting. She had questionable moments, especially relating to Annie, but once she understood where Annie could be coming from (after Khanyi explained) she went and apologised. To me, that apology seemed genuine. Annie was the one that chose not to accept that apology kodwa naye she's going around accusing every other woman for being with her man (which is unacceptable). As for the hate she gets from the other women, andiyazi. It came out of nowhere (especially from Khanyi). I think because Khanyi is hardly ever intimidated by other people (usually the centre of attention and loves it) she was shocked by the fact that Zari intimidated her without even trying and probably didn't like it. She didn't know how to handle that. So the next best thing was to pretend like she isn't intimidated and bully her and then worst of all get everyone else on her side. Did you see how mad she was when Naked and Kayleigh were on Zari's side? Fuming. Typical of a bully. Which was disappointing because contrary to how you guys seemed to have viewed her as a trouble maker but I saw Khanyi as the more mature and level headed one on the show until the Zari drama. I truly think if Zari was who they described her to be, she would've taken that mean girl energy to that wedding and turned it into her party instead she stayed home and was even worried that Diamond didn't go because they'd make that her fault too.

You absolutely right. Infact I am re-watching it as I type this post. I've ⏸ it. I feel like as if Annie is so intimidated by Zari because Annie's husband has baby mama's I think about 2 other women with children. So, seems like he also spends time with them. So the fact that Diamond invited Zari to that party when he had Nadia as a date and gave Zari all the attention, this scenario maybe reminds Annie about her husband's baby mama's still having space in his life.
Did you notice that 2Face asked to speak to Zari. Annie didn't even know that her husband knows Zari lol!
@K J nobody said she was right and this has nothing to do with skin because I’m a very dark skin women myself and I witnessed some things that didn’t sit right, yes she way 100% wrong for coming to Annie’s husband about the situation that’s the only place where she was wrong, but where I saw Annie was wrong is when she constantly kept asking how zuri knew her husband in front of everyone. One time is maybe ok but multiple times? Most ppl will feel offended by this because when a women ask another women how do you know my husband after her husband asked about you then that’s indicating something must have happened between you and her husband. And Zuri might have taken it in this way.

I love the way you put this cause that’s exactly what was going on. It’s so sad and yes Zari was COMPLETELY wrong for how she pulled the husband aside but it’s like that’s embarrassing! she didn’t genuinely ask Zari how she knew her husband because she wanted to know, she wanted to make sure that they hadn’t slept together bc of his past infidelities and that was unacceptable.. she embarrassed herself and her family.

Zari is a pretty women but she annoyed me. I was so tired of her thinking that as soon as another female didn’t like her they were insecure or jealous. I’m sorry but I’m my opinion I wouldn’t feel jealous of her, she’s nothing to be jealous of. It anything I just applaud her for her success as a women being happy for another women.

I agree with you in with the Zari situation, she's low-key self centered and unaware of how she comes off sometimes. She caused the situation with Annie. When Annie asked how she met her husband, she should have been straight with it. I don't think Annie's question was insecure, she was just curious, sis just didn't have to drag it by being annoying about "go ask your husband how we met" but overall, she does seem like a good person.
Khanyi reminds me of Karlie Redd from Love and hiphop Atlanta. Very messy and for no reason but its SO entertaining.
Naked is a weird man, has a lot of creepy comments and some of the things he says makes me think that he cheats on his girl especially when he was talking about Diamond bringing Zari and Nadia to that party. Sis needs to leave lol.

Nadia was my favourite on the show. She's fun, I liked her style as well. Only thing that I didn't like of her was when she had only communicated with Zari once but didn't like her because her friends didn't.

I digress :) but moving on ... Zari would never understand Annie. She secretly despises her for staying and she simply cannot process the fact that Annie is still sticking with 2Baba. Annie ,on the contrary, sees what she would have become if she was brave enough to leave, which makes her resentful. I can only imagine how beautiful and successful that woman would be without the toxicity she calls a 'marriage'.
The situation with Zari and 2baba was however, very problematic, I'm glad she apologized and I think that was a genuine one. Annie's attitude towards Zari after the apology was on her and she literally added an extra layer of pain on herself. She chose to be bitter and hold a grudge. That's what happens when you stay in such a toxic relationship though.
To summarize, Zari remains the queen. She had a fair share of blunders but she is a strong one. She's emotionally correct, doesn't lose sight of whatever her goal is and to me that's a powerful woman.
