People have made 3d print models for the fire control group! You can get a glock model now. They are adding tungsten shot and stuff to get the weight to match.
This is cool, I had reservations at first but watching the whole clip I think its great for what it is. It would be a hassle to do a Co2 coolfire type system, but I would be down for a Time Crisis style controller, would be cool if they could partner with Oculus and develop the controller to be integrated, with some recoil (ideally more than a time crisis controller). It will never sub for actual recoil/muzzle rise but having some feedback would be extremely beneficial.
@@ARFCOMReviews I was afraid of that . I have a brain tumor that affects my balance . I was alright playing some video games , but games like Duke Nukem got me very motion sick .
Yeah, my wife can't play any first person prospective games and has to do top down or side scrolling ones to prevent getting motion sick. I think what helps is there is practically no lag at all in the meta quest. I hope your tumor gets handled and you have a long prosperous life my friend
Vr motion sickness can be “taught” to not happen by short exposures over a few weeks. You play for 10-20 minutes (before effects of motion sickness) then you stop for a day. Rinse repeat. Eventually you get up to 30 minutes. And eventually you can go forever. I had bad motion sickness so had to use teleport in most games, but now have no issues (took me longer than most from what I’ve read) There are still some games that give me motion sickness though.
Listening some Primary and Secondary Modcast lately, every pro instructors talking about those kind of solutions said it's waste of time and money because our brain don't work same way in 3D than in real life.
after trying it i disagree with this. I shoot pretty often and wasn't hindered at all when trying it for the first time. It feels pretty real minus the bang/recoil.
There's a new FPS game called bodycam, make this game compatible with that and I'd be interested, other then that I'll stick with my dry fire and once or twice a month to the range.
Another monthly fee to use a device? I already pay a monthly fee for my house via a mortgage, car & home insurance, cell phone service, water, electricity, internet access, not to mention the 42.5% bi-monthly fee just to live in America via income taxes. I do not have streaming services because I do not watch TV and because I refuse to pay a monthly fee for a 'thing' unless it is essential. If this trainer was a buy once item I would certainly get it. This is after all a video game. I stopped playing video games because they are all on a monthly fee interweb platform now (steam or xbox servers). I miss the good ol days when I could buy stuff and never have to keep buying it every month just to continue to use it. I guess that is why I love buying tools - buy once, cry once.
Agreed, but in the long term, this is wildly more affordable (similar to just plain old dry firing) than traditional range time. For people that want to be good spouses and parents, saving money has to be a priority sometimes
Considering it doesn't have micro transactions and is being continually updated a subscription is pretty fair. If it was buy once then after a few years most people who are going to get one would have already and then it would start losing money over time.
if they weren't adding new content every few weeks, I would totally get your point. but if they are going to keep updating content and adding new courses, I would prefer a subscription model over gating everything behind micro transactions.
This is sick. I’ve had mine for a couple months and not even close to being bored with it. Their updates are frequent and very good.
agreed!
Hey brother im thinking of buying. Does it really help with dry fire?
Hope they will release some shoot/no shoot scenarios for self defense training.
that would be rad
There is a shoot/noshoot in the skills section
when does the Glock and M&P handsets come out?
THIS is what we need!

@@DDay336 do you have any ideas where to find the Glock 3D ones at
Ace is an awesome sim. Over 50,000 rounds fired in it. I love it!!! 🤘🏻
Now THAT is a lot of rounds!
Thank you guys
thank you!
Looks great! Can we get a solenoid in the hand set to simulate recoil?
Also a glock grip
Also an ar grip
This would be the ticket!

Dude! If you could load time crisis I would buy it right now!
I have trouble with motion sickness from some video games . I have never tried VR , and wondered if I got this if I may have motion sickness issues ?
My wife gets severely motion sick and was able to do 20 minutes easy on the headset, and she isn't much of a video game person or a shooter.

I will test this and let you know if the wife ends up blowing chunks 🤣
Hi! What controller do you put is it the left or the right?
I am not sure
This thing is awesome.
we cant put ours down!
Congratulations, you guys have just remade hotdogs, horshoes, and hand grenades VR game
🤣🤣🤣🤣
Can you build your own drill?
I believe so!
Looks like the guns can be used in Dead Second....
that would be awesome if true

Different strokes for different folks, this is the best one I've seen so far
If it only wasn’t a monthly subscription model.
I had similar feelings

Dont let John find this, video games are the devil and all that.
🤣🤣🤣🤣
Meta only, that's a nonstarter. Facebook doesn't get my money.
I can respect that

I am totally with you on that
Very cool but very much out of my budget 😞
understandable, but definitely something to add to the wish list!
Guys will do anything but train

Training is not one dimensional.
Needs visual recoil at least. UM NO I WILL NOT RENT AN APP, YOU CHARGE ONCE AND THATS IT, HACKS
It does have visual recoil. Some of the broll footage was mistakenly set to record from the perspective of the left eye so you don't see the dot.

Saw this at SHOT. looks awesome
It's fantastic, I ended up buying the setup after the video. I've dry fired more in one month than I have in the last few years.
it is indeed "awesome"
