- Welcome to the Madden 24 Franchise Rebuild with the Las Vegas Raiders.
The Raiders are a team that's struggled for decades. Many have tried to fix this once great franchise but the Raiders have hired (and fired) 9 head coaches, have had 13 10+ loss seasons, all since their last playoff win in the 2002 AFC Championship Game.
There is a lot of dust in the trophy case as the Raiders last won a Super Bowl 40+ years ago. No team should rebuild as long as they've had to. Now I'm looking take them over to restore this Franchise to its' former glory.

I think Cane is the happiest he has ever been getting a 7th round hidden development running back.
Make sure to do the training camp and have Stockton as the backup during the preseason so he gets the most snaps
Houston giving us two hidden development quarterbacks while Texas Tech gave us a near-generation talent implies something weird was in the Texas water this year, haha

I LOVE how aggressive you got to take Stockton. No screwing around and settling for someone else. I say this with all seriousness and praise, but you’ve come a long way in getting these trades done early in the draft. Still gotta work on those day 3 ones, though 😂 Can’t wait for episode 3!

This really illustrates what a huge advantage it is to actually have cap room at the start of a rebuild as well as be lucky enough to have an actual first round talent at QB in a Madden 24 draft. The Raiders are already miles ahead of where the Season 4 Saints are, and the series hasn't even really started yet.
I think usually when a player has a talent rating below their projected, you're right that they rarely have hidden dev. But you have to remember that QBs now come out with lower ratings (generally) than other positions; I usually mentally bump up the projection by one tier. And the way it's calculated, you can't even trust that too far, because often there's a lot of players tied at 73 or 72, so someone like Hall might be the same overall as another guy projected as round 1-2. I'm just as surprised about Wolfe, though.
Crazy start to this rebuild though; most eventful first offseason ever, I think!

MrHurriicane, if you want to start to dominate the league with your Franchise QB, I would recommend using Kansas City Playbook with West Coast Power Run. It will prioritize passing to your TE and your slot receiver while still having a good run game through simulation. If you focus on Michael Mayer´s Development and utilizing Devante´s talents in the slot. You would be fighting for a playoff spot this season. Thank you for the amazing content.
what about defensive playbook/scheme?
Hey cane you may never see this comment but one of the trends I've noticed with qbs specifically is that when scouting them and they have lower talent then projection if it's like 1st round projection and 2nd-3nd talent usually they have a dev trait. I think this is Madden attempting to emulate project QBs like Lamar and AR15. I've also only noticed this trend when they have the SCRAMBLER archetype. Hope that helps you in the future!

My opinion: I would have waited to get Lorenzo Hall and have him sit behind Kurt Cousins for a year. Then see what next years draft class has to offer and go from there.

The meta in madden in the trenches is always draft outside > in. Meaning, I always scout bigger bodied strong, athletic DE’s when I’m looking for 3-tech pass rushers to move inside to DT. And I always look at late round athletic OT’s to kick inside to G/C , especially if they’re shorter. The edge guys always have better athletic ceilings than their counterparts.

A suggestion regarding traits: use skill points to change traits. For example, if you want to change a QB's sense of pressure trait, use a skill point, then manually go in and reduce all the skills that went up, and then manually change the trait you want changed. In essence you're "spending" that skill point.
Nah that is cheating. If you could make Zach Wilson sense pressure in real life, he has the talent to be a franchise qb. You can't make him though, so it makes sense you can't change it in the game

Ooooof, missing out on the Ideal/Ideal with Leader Personality QB in Steve Wolfe actually really sucks. He's gonna end up being a monster if he doesn't just rot on their bench.
I have a small suggestion for the draft prep: Dont look at the Mock Draft 5 (in this Video it was Mock 3 it wasnt completly correct because of the early trade up I think but that isnt normal I would say that you trade up early every draft :D). It literally tells the exact spots where the 1st round players get picked and I think thats pretty lame considering trading up etc. So when you just look at Mock 4 you have a solid picture of the 1st Round but not the 100% guaranteed one. I think it makes the 1st Round way more interesting with a little bit of uncertainty.

Hey cane, I do a similar sim franchise as you. And I’ve had a ton of bad bugs occur. One time my defense came in for my offense in the last drive of the game… I hope you aren’t having this happen to you too!
I believe that there are 200 players that are 'Day 3 Projection" or higher and a total of 450 players in each draft. At least I'm fairly certain of those numbers for last years Madden, which more or less confirms that it's still the case for this one. Thanks for the consistency EA 🙄

Like the approach so far but still question what you've really got a D-Line outside of Crosby? Also, make sure to adjust the positions of the defense. Spillane should not be rushing the passer and none of those guys at D-Line are really 3-4 D-lineman right now.
