Whilst fishing with the light gear for kob, I Hooked into a monster that took me 1hr and 30 min to land! It took a lot of patience and skill to win this battle. but in the end I walked away the victor! 130 Lb fish on 30LB line is no joke!

I think this is probably the best vid you have ever produced. If it is not beneficial to a pro angler, it is certainly beneficial to those who encounter a big fish and now realize it’s not a rush. It’s a fight, a strategy, it’s fun. The reward is at the end. Well done. Truly enjoyed. Keep it up.

the thing i enjoy the most about watching video's of fishermen from different countries is the different ways of fishing, especially when watching south african fisherman its soo interesting watching people fish for the same fish that we catch here but do it completely differently

I have a question though.
Why, then battling a fish, do you move away from the surf and even unto the dune behind? (increasing the distance between you and the fish) I have seen this in the big kob videos as well.
I would have thought to move closer toe the water and actually into the surf the lessen the distance and get as much line as possible as quickly as possible unto the reel.
Certainly I am missing something.
Please help me out.

Great fish, strangely here in C.T. those fish average catch is around 5kg. Seems the big one's move up the coast. They very strong swimmers.

Yeah buddy. I hook into 100+ # rays when fishing for shark here on Long Island NY. They are fighters, but tend to get a little frustrating after 2-3 in a row.

Why do u fish with coffee grinders if I may ask
They work way better with the braid, the grinders today are incredibly strong and can handle lot of pressure, but the main advantage is all the advantages that braid offers.

Yes I use it on the rocks, I use it everywhere! It has even more benefits when fishing in rocks.

Nope, usually just hold the spool, one hard hit and it either comes loose or the sinker trace pops
