Went to my first Divine Liturgy yesterday. It was beautiful and incredibly different from what I have experienced before (I am an evangelical). I walked in and was so excited to see the icons and smell the incense for the first time. Glory to God for all things!

Reflecting upon the inspiring words of our blessed Bishop Demetrius, I recall the first time I was blessed to visit St Tarso, the fool for Christ. I asked her one question: “What should I do to be saved?” She answered with much love using words from the Divine Liturgy: “Πάντων τῶν ἁγίων μνημονεύσαντες” (Call to remembrance all the Saints).’” I understood that she meant to imitate the Saints. Hearing His Eminence’s words, which makes known his respect and honor for St Tarso, brought back many memories and just how far away I am from imitating the Saints. Thank you. Forgive me.

    Thank God for our Bishops!
It’s such a blessing to have them teach us about our faith. So many converts coming to the Orthodox faith. May we be faithful to our Bishops in listening to their teachings. ☦️

This is a great truth. Only (!) the Orthodox Church keeps producing saints. This is also why among among the heterodox and heretics the prerequisites for sainthood have been either changed or the whole idea is departed from altogether.

These videos are a light in the midst of the darkness that surrounds us. A small request and question. What are the 20th century saints that we goc Christians should avoid? God bless 🙏☦️

Thank you for your comment. We accept the Saints that our Church accepts. I'm not sure what you mean. Any "Saint" that is not part of the Church is not accepted as a Saint.

@@barathkrishna2977 why would you avoid any of them? They weren't ecumenists. they weren't heretical. Seems strange you would point them out.

@@OrthodoxTradition Има ли такива ,които не са от Църквата и се смятат за светии?Всичко от новите светии са били монаси?

@@therantingidiots8769 I can understand. But it's because they sided with the new calendarists and said that we were separated from the church. And also st. Paisios mentioned that everybody should commemorate the patriarch inspite of him doing ecumenical works. That's why my friend.

Loved the sermon. May I ask what the name of the icon is in the thumbnail? I’m not familiar with everyone shown in it.
