I absolutly love your tutorials Karen. Too bad l live in Czech so l cannot come to your lessons personaly. I saw many tutorials for aquarel but no one as good as yours. I do not like tutorials where they cut it so l miss some steps. Im beginner but do not have problem to follow your instruction. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and skills. I appreciate it very much.

I am glad to find you! I am a messy girl when I try water color, precisely the kind you mentioned. Yes I can't resist going over and paint more on the area I have already painted. Either for correcting some mistake or just to make it better.

Thank you for sharing your knowledge, I love your paintings. My personal feeling about using white gouache in watercolour painting is that it is no longer a watercolour painting. I just can't bring myself to do it.

Do you need to wet the white paper to get things to be sort of cohesive? Not sure if that makes sense… I mean all the white paper that is being left white.
I would wet the background and avoid painting wetting the white flower otherwise the background paint will run into the white flower. To get things looking more harmonious you could use the same colours on the background in the flower itself 😊
Have another question for you Karen since you are so prompt with your replies 😀😊 What is bleach or alcohol that is often shown in water colour tutorials especially to create an abstract painting. Thanks so much. Keep up your tutorials. Love your style ,patience and more so your readiness to share your technique and skills
