Very clear and instructive video but you don't explain why you turn the needles counterclockwise to get them out and how to put them in place correctly a little more explanation would be helpful
Hi! Great video! Could you help me? I'm trying to repair VW GOLF 6 instrument cluster. In my case, rpm counter Illumination and central display Illumination did not work. I replaced 3 LEDs on rpm counter side and now all rpm counter LEDs work good, but central display LEDs still don't work. I tested them and all work fine. What could be the problem? Do I have to resolder main connector like you did? Thanks!
The video shows all the processes, but I think it's not easy without the right tools. I have the same problem, but I don't have a heat gun like that to work only on the LEDs that are gone. If the heat gun is bigger, I think it will be a mess. Helpful, however.
Can you test and diagnosis this before removing with a scan tool i have glow olug issues and I don't see the symbol at all just thinking it could be the bulb that's faulty and leading me down the wrong path
Hello! Exactly the video i was looking for. Already have the leds on the way. What type of resistor and external power you used to bench test the leds? is it 5v or 3.3v?
@@PanayiotisMavrokefalos i will try to make a video for vag, i get this question a lot. How do you put them in the same position, i am sure that you find a video for that on youtube.. it s the same on skoda, vw
Same problem I had. For me it were broken wires at the front door hinges. This causes the can bus to have intermittent faults, causing the issue. It is a common problem apparently and can be fixed by prying back the rubber boots between the door and repairing or replacing the affected wires.
This is exactly what I needed. Thanks dude, wish you and your family well!
Thank you!
Beautiful,Good Job!
Thanks for the video.
it's very clear.
could you please give us the reference of the led lamps.
THANKS
I have my left turning indicator fading and appearing, could it be rather bad grounding than led fault?
Its not simple eh😅.....but....in the first yeti model 2009 is the same ???...or normal lamp inside?

Check polarity and dry solder joints with microscope

I would like to replace the dashboard lamps for a Octavia 2006,how I find which type of lamps I need?

Test all warning lights with vcds, enter instrument cluster
How do I test LED’s? What battery or voltage are you using when connecting the wires?
3 volt
Spot on thanks, so I can just use a 3v battery. If the cathode / anode are accidentally reversed will it damage the LED?

I don’t have a link, most of led’s are from faulty instruments, but try on google smd led 3528.. see if they fit on your cluster

It’s an 12v power supply with 1k resistor (1000ohm’s)
