Once the win came, Tepper said "Yep, that's why I brought Dalton in!" If it wasn't for Canales, Carolina would still be wasting away with Young under center.
I don't get this weird theory that Tepper is the reason the Panthers got Bryce Young. He literally won the Heisman in college and outperformed CJ Stroud in every way. Almost everybody had him as the #1 pick because of it.
@@AK-sq1jl if you search for archived ESPN reports you’ll see that there were a lot of NFL executives that knew the Panthers were planning on taking CJ Stroud. There was even a video of a Panthers group at CJ Stroud’s pro day and the quarterbacks coach at the time literally told CJ that he was looking forward to playing basketball with him when he lived in Charlotte. About a week before the NFL draft they started to be some murmurs from the panther building that the owner was getting cold feet on CJ Stroud because he didn’t do well on the Wonderlick Test. He was wanting to draft Bryce Young instead. Frank Reich had never coached a quarterback that was less than 6’3 or 6’4 and he didn’t believe short quarterbacks could succeed. Not really.
The media is wild.
They lose 2 games.
Media coverage: They are done, trash, worse team in the NFL, Young is the BIGGEST draft bust in NFL history.
They swap QBs and win a game.
Media coverage: They are back folks, going to the SB, best team in the league, Andy Dalton is a HoF QB.
Keep Pounding!!
I'm so happy for Andy as a Bengals fan
Props to Bill for being nice with “weeks” 😂
Bruh, this was all teppers fault. We got nothing for the best pieces on our roster so that we could trade up and take the obviously wrong QB. We could have DJ moore,CMC and Stroud, but that being said Canales and Evero winning with dalton and this roster is magical. My point is that it shouldnt have ever gotten to this point.
I agree with Stroud, but DJ was inconsistent here and CMC was injury prone.
0:52 David Tepper is still the worst owner in professional American sports, maybe rivaled by the A’s owner.
Exactly. I was thinking to myself "now I won't go that far..."
@@EBrown021 right now I despise Tepper, at least when Richardson was the owner they’d be in the playoffs every other year but we haven’t been since our left tackle was in high school and in the stands. He’s turning the panthers into the cowboys minus the stadium and 90’s rings.
I was coming to say this
Panthers have always been a good team when helmed by an effective qb. Even Rhule had Carolina at 3-0 with Darnold before all the injuries hit. 85% of fans wanted Stroud in that draft leading up to the pick. Bryce has simps bc hes well spoken and short. Never had the metrics for NFL. Nicole Tepper actually wanted CJ too.
Diontae Johnson looked like a #1 receiver with Dalton throwing to him.
Tepper is still dumb, traded DJ Moore and the world for the #1 pick on March 10. Signed Dalton 4 days later, we could have kept Moore, and draft picks and started Dalton all last season. Glad to see the Panthers play so well, I knew Dalton had it in him!!
That’s in the past time to move forward. Hindsight is always 20/20.
@@bradholt8755 No doubt!! But I'd like to think we all knew this last year. Either way, move on and learn. Hope the Red Rifle has an awesome season!!
Cheers to Coach Belichick, thankyou for this content!
Why do I have a feeling Dalton will 💩 the bed this week because I’m starting him
Please try to get Andy on the show tomorrow if you can
One game dang it feels good to Win . been a long time since we won. Entire team played great..Andy Dalton came out smoking hot ...and team knew it...
Imagine how much better practice will feel on Tuesday.
That restaurant is called Dilworth Neighborhood Grill. Its a very popular restaurant in Charlotte
One week ago:
“You’ve gotta get players around him”
Today:
“He using good players”
Soo many panthers fans didn't want bryce but the "experts" thought he was better than stroud
They did everything they could to avoiding saying "maybe Bryce Young is the problem."
Andy Dalton and week 3 when the stars align and he balls out, also Pat what was that opening? 🤣
Coming from a season ticket holder for the Panthers, he is still the worse owner of the NFL and we (panther fans) will 100% boo this man every time he is on the screen. I will probably not renew after this season but I guess only time will tell.
Raiders must have partied a little extra after the ravens game
David Tepper is still the worst owner in the league. I say that as a Panthers fan.
Minnesota led by Sam Darnold is dismantling good teams and no one says a word lmao.
Lots of people are talking about it.
People calling this an All Pro season for Sam already, they are definitely talking about it.
Quit trying to be a victim
That's what Darnold does.
Comes in and looks great for a month. Same thing happened in Carolina.
Hes literally the Mvp favorite rn your trippin
Chase Daniel did a tremendous breakdown on his channel showing all the reasons that Bryce Young was truly a horrible quarterback. It’s a great watch.
Andy Dalton and AJ Green back in the day were great to watch
He definitely gave them a much needed spark but there's still a long road ahead of them. They need to keep this up
9 out of 9 Donny Don Don’s would say he knew about Andy first
Pat is a genius
Well....didnt rhe owner want bryce?
The fact he keeps saying Red Rocket and not referencing him as the Red Rifle is hilarious…😂
That’s how you know you’re bad. One win and your season is saved. 😅 but also, GO ANDY! Always loved the red rocket on and off the field.
Worst owner of professional baseball is always gonna be John Fisher so there's that lol
I knew Andy Dalton was gonna beat the Raiders. I loved it.
And yet you don't know the difference between new and knew.
@@timkinley1779 There was supposed to be a k. There's the k. Now you are just a tool who corrects grammar for a hobby.
As a life long Panther fan, let’s slow it down. It was the Raiders and it was one game.
No doubt. I have been a life long Panther fan. Yes we are not going to superbowl, yes we will probably not go to the playoffs. But damn it feels good to win again. If even for a bit
We seen this show before as a panthers fan I’m not convinced.
Maybe it was the qb 🤔 go figure
Can people FINALLY admit that Bryce was the main problem? The amount of coddling and excuses given to Bryce last week was insane. It was like none of them actually watched the tape and just assumed everyone was bad lol. We're not in the last season anymore.
Now wait a minute you were good till you tried to drag the owner into this he still traded away incredible talent and passed on cj stroud to pick bryce young #1 overall
Sometimes dudes are busts and sometimes they’re not ready to start in the nfl
Which 1 is Bryce young ?
Build him a damn statue 😂
I won big with the Panthers this week. That was the biggest trap game I've seen in years.
Pat’s voice is like a blend of 5 regional American accents rolled into one
People forget Andy Dalton threw 300+ yards and 2 TDs last year when Panthers had no one at WR but Adam T
All these OG’s who played vs Brady Manning, and so on are on the come back
JFC. That "coming all over town" comment....lol
Could actually wear my panthers shirt with pride today lmao
He can actually see over the line and go through his progression and not have to scramble to see the field or an open receiver
