    Thanks! Enjoyed your clarifying this set up. Just finished my LP rig with HRD and WSJT-X with Grid Tracker. Great fun and some head aches..best 73s W3PDR.

    Thanks Gary for producing a video that actually show's how to control older rigs with HRD and WSJTX!!! I have been searching for days and came across your video by accident....LOL

    thx for the detailed explanations, i had downloaded a newer version and somehow whippe out all the prior settings, well i set it up again i could not get HRD to work at the same time i used wsjtx. the 2 programs were fighting over COM 8 . After your video i found i was using ic7300 for the rig .
    i reset to HRD , Bingo everything went to working again.
    also with the log forwarding tips, i got the logging fied back up.
    thank for the great video to help me see the error of my blockheaded thinking.
    good dx to ya, jeff

    Another way of have it connected for auto logging. Well done.
    I have wsjt-x connected to GridTracker, which upload all my QSOs into eQSL, QRZ and ClubLog. It’s so convenient for me.

    Great informative video. I have moved on from HRD to Log4OM (I like both but wanted a change - and the latter is free). Log4OM (terrible name!!) automatically updates to QRZ, HRDLog, eQSL and ARRL. That is great and saves a lot of hassle. Very useful thanks mate.

    The Marmite mode 😝 - (You either love it or hate it) - It's a good bit of fun in small bouts (a bit like my gym membership) and I think a good way of testing an antenna out. I think it replaced WSPR these days? I would like to try Digital Master in HRD, doing a bit of PSK/RTTY/CW, its a bit more personalised keyboard to keyboard QSO. Nice work GAZ 73

    Excellent video! I’m just now trying to integrate A FTDX-10 in Win11, HRD, Gridtracker and wsjt-x. Do you have any experience with Win11 audio settings?

    OK so the merged button in the QSO forwarding page keeps changing back to ignored instead of merged. What am I doing wrong???

    I only use FT8 as a rough test to see where and how well I am getting out. I prefer to use FT4 if I can as it feels your not watching paint dry at times. 73

      email HRD regards specifics on their software but a generic setting might look like: The CAT interface is easy, just try various combinations of settings.. com-X 4800 RTS and CTS on off on on etc audio will be whatever your interface manufacturer suggests..

    hello, really enjoyed your video but for me it does not work properly.
    HRD does not have USBD Digital mode and after transmit reverts back to just USB and thus loose receive of the frq in digital mode.
    I contacted HRD Jan, 2023 and they were working on adding USBD.
    All the best.

      yes had this before.. you need to program a split in the radio or use two VFO's/virtual VFO's Gaz

    I see your TX freq dropped by 500kHz. On 20m, my 7300 drops by 1500kHz. I spent ages trying to stop it but is this normal?

    • @TheGazLab
      @TheGazLab  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You can change the effect under settings in wsjtx .. I’d need more information to help.. gaz

      @@TheGazLab Thanks for coming back to me Gaz. I know your video is quite old but it still works well for the important settings.
      I've been QRT for some time G4KIB but just got my CT7 call sign yesterday.
      I have the 7300, ARD and WXJT-X.
      I have 2 problems I've been struggling with.
      I've had it all working, all except the logging to ARD which, thanks to your video I should manage to get working.
      OK, when I transmit, the TX freq changes from 14074 to 14072.5.
      I just can't find why this happens and was sure it wasn't happening before.
      Also, when I transmit, I don't get any power. I've checked the audio and been through the setting so many times.
      Like I said, it was working so even if I fix it again, I need to know why.
      Any help would be much appreciated.
      Thanks Jeff CT7BKO big knock out. No?

    Let me give you a challenge. Get a digirig working with a G90 running Ham Radio Deluxe. This has been a challenge. Who is up for that one?

    • @TheGazLab
      @TheGazLab  ปีที่แล้ว

      the digirig is easy, the g90 would have to be emulated by using a rig that has same cat set?? I dont have one to try sorry :-(
