I like how this turned out. Someday I am going to try something like this. My problem is that we are painting the craft/guest room. It is amazing how much stuff came out of that 12X12 room. I can’t get to anything, it is all piled in the living room, garage, and entrance room. New floor will be delivered in 2 weeks so I am at a craft standstill except my Cricut stuff and rock tumbling stuff.
That's why I left it for last but I didn't like the solid black either - but I think I want to paint it black again and just do a light brush of white over it so the black shows through more and then do some sanding - not sure yet but not done with it either lol
I have always painted my items with a dark color as the base when I know I’m going to be dry brushing because it gives it the definition- when you dry brush you are just hitting the top texture😍
Hi Beth! You may answer this during the video but I was wondering why you painted it black rather than keeping it white before painting it. I’ve never taken a painting class and I don’t paint beyond painting tumblers so I was curious. Everything always comes out beautiful! Please don’t think I am criticizing at all. I’m just trying to understand so I can learn.

Hi Beth this is beautiful! I’m having trouble filming my videos .Could I ask you what you use to record with? I’ve been using my iPhone but it doesn’t want to work properly anymore I have the iPhone 14 it keeps saying I have no memory 😢
What a complicated mold! Kudos to you for doing it in front of us the first time. Also, faces are the worst to paint, or at least they are for me. All these faces are so small too. Anyway, you are doing a great job. Hang in there. Haters gonna hate. Their problem, not yours.

Yes take me along when thrifting, I was at a thrift store, and my thought was I wish Beth was here so she could tell me what to do with things!
I thoroughly enjoyed this video!!!❤ It came out awesome! The cool thing is it will look different every time you do it! So fun!
You’ve taught me something new. Had no idea that colored pencils would work on clay.

Aw Thank You So Much! 💖
I was thinking if maybe you did a black background to piece. Then it would pop more! It s nice.

Is it better to paint your dried clay in black before dry brushing?

Rachel send me an email and I will try to help, but I'm still trying to figure that one out myself and that is after hundreds of hours of videos
Is that the mouse? Or is it the tea kettle???
