I'll Be Home for Christmas is a 1998 American Christmas family comedy film directed by Arlene Sanford. The plot follows a college student who must make it from his campus in Los Angeles, California to his family's home in Larchmont, New York in time for Christmas dinner in order to win his father's Porsche. It stars Jonathan Taylor Thomas, Jessica Biel, Adam LaVorgna, Sean O'Bryan and Gary Cole and was released on November 13, 1998.

He doesn't talk about it on camera very much (for obvious reasons), so the only way fans would know is probably through their social media pages. A lot of casual viewers don't follow those.
The only reason I knew was because I followed him on Facebook, understandably Doug's family was pretty quiet about it :(

FUN FACT: Apparently, Tim Allen got really pissed off at Jonathan Taylor Thomas after the movie came out because Thomas told Allen that he was quitting Home Improvement because he wanted to go to college. But Thomas went on to do I’ll Be Home For Christmas instead. So basically, he manipulated Allen which pissed him off.

it is impressive. Linkara has also had moments where several versions of him interact as well. at one point in his electric tale of pikachu review, he even walks around himself almost seemlessly.

Everyone, stop relating everything in the review as some political stance! That takes away from the message he is trying to send. This isn't about Trump or Hillary, the right or the left, it's about choosing whether to show love or anger this season and hopefully choosing the former. There will be many that choose to show anger and how you handle that is another milestone for growth. Merry Christmas, everyone! Be safe.

Except that this message comes specifically after one of the most HATE fueled elections we've ever had. It literally (not figuratively, literally) ruined families and friendships. I watched whole meltdowns and it cost me a few friends because I could stand the position they'd taken against their family and friends. I watched one friend publically berate and destory their family member over a single comment that was pretty innocuous. So right now, it *is* a political stance, and it needs to be. It needs to be a very public message, and it doesn't actually take away from his message it enhances it. In a post election where groups are attacking eachother over who is our president, where lives are being threatened, and families are trying to pick up the pieces of their shattered realities. His message is even more vital then ever before because as long as the hate rage continues to burn, nothing is going to change.

What I meant was that it wasn't about the election alone. Yes, the election was a big part of it, and I too witnessed friends and family have heated discussions about the whole thing, but the message is about more than that. It can still be applied to it, but so many people equate everything he says to the election, even when it might not have anything to do with it. I know people will interpret what they will, just as long as they have an open mind.
A) what college has lockers.
B) what college doesn't freak the fuck out if one student shoves another in them.
C) what college doesn't insta-expel or worse a student who is blatantly cheating on exams.
D) what college allows male students to just walk on into the female dorms.
E) what college/student doesn't bring actual legal action against a group of students who glues clothes to another student and leave them in the desert? Like, there are a whole host of federal offenses in there, we're talking jail time.
What the hell happened here? Did nobody on production think "wait bullying, lockers, and a lax attitude towards cheating aren't a thing in higher education" at any point? Most colleges don't even give jocks that kind of leeway because letting students cheat on tests is about the fastest way possible to get your accreditation revoked.

I attended two colleges and they had/have lockers.
I KNOW! At least in a High School you have SOME (not much, but some) plausibility depending on how badly funded it is or how understaffed it is or something like that.
Even so, the blatant cheating should've at LEAST warranted all of the jocks to lose their spots on the team.

To whoever comes from those video essays about how 'terrible' or 'untalented' NC is, just for your consideration, Doug has always had his best moments in his christmas film reviews, no kidding, he always wraps these up with a heartwarming and poignant message and it genuinely shows he put a lot of effort and thought into them, christmas is his favorite holiday and you can clearly tell why it means so much to him.
I'd still watch this over Christmas With the Kranks. At least in this film, Jake learns his lesson and acknowledges his mistakes. The neighbors in Christmas With the Kranks never apologize or learn their lesson, and the Kranks actually think they're right for doing it. It's not just stupid it's irresponsible, what the hell kind of a moral is that?! "If your neighbors don't celebrate Christmas, harass them until they comply."

The last few moments of this review was so unbelievably deep (from when he talks to Malcom character to the very end). This is why I love the nostalgia critic; he sometimes does or says things that just really make you think about life ^_^
