Uh, yeah, because the writers wrote it that way. They were going to write an episode where Quincey turns out to be wrong? That only happens in real life.
Reality is he's a coroner and if he acted like a detective in the way he does in episodes of Quincey, almost every case would be thrown out 😄 just examine the body and let Columbo do the detecting, cheers Quince.
I remember watching Quincy on Friday nights, especially when I was babysitting. The children were asleep and the dishes were done, so I could relax with this great Crime Drama. I would watch it again if I could. Thank you to everyone in front of and behind the camera for my entertainment.
There is no difference between the characters QUINCY and OSCAR MADISON. I see no acting versatility whatsoever. In my mind, Oscar Madison is a sportswriter who also works as a Medical Examiner. Klugman may have been a very likeable actor, but just like Lionel Barrymore, his range went from A to B - quiet clenched anger and outright anger.
Love this show. I was in JR High when it came on the air. I watched of and on. Then I bought seasons 1-4 on DVD. Watched them evet two years. This year I was really into it, so much I purchased seasons 5-8. I am now on season 7. Love it Only wish they kept the original theme music. Season 5 and up is too loud.
Nobody stormed out of a room like Quincy! Can't understand why repeats of the show are missing from any UK channel, when you think of the dross they do air.
The intriguing connection between prominent character actors and retail trade in weak cocaine during the 1970s were noted, noticed and acknowledged. #its twue #🎉
Jack Klugman was a great actor!
I agree. Klugman had range and depth. If he had been given " the part " that caused him to stretch, he would have been Oscar material.
Simply the best!
In every episode nobody believed Qunicey but he was always right. You would think people might have noticed this.
I know right? Every time he suspects foul play the rest of them are like "oh come on Quincy! He died of a heart attack!!" 😅

And he always made a big sermon like speech at the ending.
I just loved how he always fought for the rights, the truth of the ones who couldn't talk anymore!

I don't agree
It would have been funny if his CellMate turned out to be some Neat Freak named Felix Unger
Or the cop that arrested him was Officer Murray.
They should have given Madison a Mets cap to wear.
Or if it was El Chapo.

Or Leonard Rosenberg 😋
Or the actor Tony Randall playing a jailbird. Ha ha..

Nonsensical tv series where a coroner ends up being a self styled cop solving everything along the way in person 😃
Man Conan and Jake Tapper really did the impressions well of this show. This was hilarious go watch with that context.
Conan s podcast brought me here
Look up the theme some DJ put lyrics to. Pretty funny.
IT WAS MURRRRRDERRRR SAM
Are you sure it wasn't Flat Ass or an Escape Goat?
Your sick So-saaah-ity

Slimy lawyer
I wish someone would post or download a full episode of this clip of Quincy.
I forgot how preachy this show was. Ugh. This scene needs Felix Unger and a blackboard.
ASSUME! 🤣

Depending on where you live they might be shown on TV. Failing that you can always try buying the DVDs. Not sure about streaming!
