What Exactly Happened To Aventurine in 2.1? | Honkai Star Rail Lore

- The story of honkai star rail 2.1 main trailblazer mission had quite a few twist and turns and by the end it mightve been a bit confusing to some. Why did acheron partner with the nameless, who exactly is gallagher and most importantly what exactly happen to aventurine? In this video we are going to discuss one of those topics specifically the one related to aventurine and theorize a little on what his end game might be and where he end up. So in this video we will try to discuss what exactly happened to aventurine in 2.1
Some part of this video comes from the actual lore while others may be speculation on my part as we currently do not know the full story. As such take it with a grain of salt as the point of this video is just a deeper dive into Honkai Star Rail lore.

The way I understood it is that Aventurine planned to die to to prove that you CAN die in the dreamscape to devalue Penacony's promise, making the IPC have more grounds to reclaim it. He gambled in which power was going to be able to bring this about since he didn't know for sure what Path the emanator visitor really follows, and he won out with Nihility ( unironically enough ) because like Acheron said, there's a chance to come back from it, which is also a gamble. If it wasn't Nihility, there was every reason to believe he was going to die for real, which he's also accepted because of at the time, his very nilhilistic way of living, his self-destructive tendencies, and that dying will also technically be freedom from anyone using him.
He was probably aware that you can indeed not go through TRUE death. He also had an inkling of the true Penacony in the first place. It is outright said that he wanted to go through the other side of the barrier. Aven was suicidal but I'm pretty sure he was aware that he wasn't really going to die but there was a chance the emanator(Acheron) could actually kill him. That off chance would still guarantee that the IPC would step in due to one of the stonehearts getting KIA. Aventurine didn't care about that though as he was fine with getting killed for real if it meant his freedom. 🥹
Aventurine is one lucky suicidal bastard
bro speedran dying and glitching into the void
Actually.. pretty much 😂
That's why, the lyrics of White Night is all about Aventurines plan to go deeper, then we can see the blackhole like its similar to literally white night
I really needed this, so thanks a lot! I was playing the story in one day to avoid spoilers, so somewhere mid-story my brain deactivated.
Yeah thats what I did too for recording purposes, halfway I was just like.. what happened? 😂
I did not expect one of the hoi4 youtubers I follow to pop up here, I was legit spooked.

I understand aventurine's purpose a little differently. I think he was originally looking for an inheritance, and remember Dr. Ratio saying, "You're just an IPC slave who got a death sentence."...I don't remember exactly either. So from the beginning, IPC had ordered Aventurine to die in Penacony, the purpose was to prove that death existed in Penacony, which meant that the Family broke its promise, and the death of the IPC envoy was not light, which allowed IPC to intervene in Penacony. That's why at the end Jade said that, "she will harvest (the results of Aventurine's death)" and topaz when she realized that the Aventurine shard light that Aventurine gave her disappeared she felt sad but she wasn't surprised and more like she knew it would happen.
For the area where Aventurine and Acheron were talking, I think it was one of the shadow domains IX, Aventurine was looking for a place where he could die or maybe true dreamscape, but Acheron said, "This is not the place you are looking for." If we read the lore we know that anyone who gets close or exposed to IX can become nihilistic, become depressed etc. becoming a Self annihilator like Acheron, that's why he said, "Few people can come back after going through it, it will be another gambler for you" that's why Aventurine's thoughts at that time were full of self-doubt. but at the end she was determined to survive, so it's possible that Aventurine will make eventually a comeback in the next story.
And Aventurine also deliberately forced Acheron to withdraw the sword, because she needed Acheron's power (actually it doesn't matter who, it just matters that it's strong enough to kill him in the dreamscape), she had talked about it. Then Acheron said, "it seems the sword is too sharp to cut the shackles of Harmony (From Sunday) from you."
@@Maevix3142 aventurine is not really dead right :(
another thing I noticed is that during the convo between acheron and aventurine, aven said that there's already someone who went to the other side of the barrier, and managed to come back. this person is most likely firefly/sam, which I also think is the second 'mute' sparkle was talking about and the mute that aventurine should seek (since it's not robin cuz she's unavailable/dead). aven also said this mute can't take the stage to tell the tale (which is probably due to the script that sam has, and if we look at his dialogues at the end of the quest, he said that he tried numerous times to tell the trailblazer some 'truths' but failed every time. this supports the possibility that firefly/sam is indeed the 'mute').
this is what I caught from the quest after rewatching it a couple times
that would be funny if we trailblazer had the legacy all along from misha
Misha seems rather unaware but that would be a pretty interesting twist
I think Adventurine and Acheron imply that Firefly was killed and made it back to this side of the barrier because Acheron says that something she found out randomly was the key to figuring out everything and she learned who Sam really was randomly in the one cutscene. And Adventurine says that it's "their stellaron friends identity" which i think is talking about Sam
Firefly can’t dream, so she couldn’t make it to the real penacony like aventurine when she died.
@ForTheViolence ohh I guess that makes sense especially since when firefly was killed we saw Sam almost immediately after so maybe she never ended up in the real dream in the first place
Ive also seen a few people mention about the fact firefly cant dream and why she cant naturally make it to the real penacony which makes me curious about how the story might progress
It could be that sam is able to enter the dreamscape similarly to how screwlum can enter penacony. Mechanical entities have ways of entering the dreamscape. Although it makes me wonder how mechanical lifeforms dream in the first place.
Also I’m pretty sure no emanator can do the same thing as Acheron.
It’s much likely because she’s nihility and nothingness emanator + has naught which slice the veils of dream.
Mean only her and death are capable of send you on the other side of the barrier.
Can’t do the same thing as Acheron *
@@PA70805 pretty sure aventurine was caught up on the manifestation of Device IX inside Acheron just so Acheron can talk to him before actually descending to the deeper part of the Dreamscape
im not sure on that if that was the case there would be little risk in letting aventurine have his cornerstone in the dreamscape and aventurine didn't know what kind of emanator she was so he was assuming she could kill him regardless of what kind of eminator she was i think anything powerful enough can break through
@@keitokarlDevice IX is a faction(?) or tool associated with the doctors of chaos. Device IX is NOT IX
Maybe it was just playing it early morning, but I went through the quest one day after I woke up and after finishing, while everyone was screaming ranting raving about Aventurine, I i was just completely calm like "oh yeah it's all good i get the plot" which is exactly what you just said lol
Dunno how I did that but okay
considering silver wolf can hack the dreamscape pools to let you go strait to the mid layer im guessing she can do the opposite and gave firefly something that would let her come back if she got too deep also im not worried about aventurine because ratio seemed to have given something that will help him get back
Its very likely silver wolf will be how the rest of the nameless gets into the deeper dreamscape unless acheron feels like slashing stuff up. Even if she doesnt help because of elios script or whatever black swan is still around who could also be our guide into that deeper dreamscape
"the impossible in the dreamscape is not Death, but rather Dormancy."
pretty sure that references something. can't remember what tho
Ye, Acheron was like ... " I got you bb girl, I know you'll find the watchmakers legacy """ ... good luck on Aventurine pulls ...
I just spent a lot of my resources on Acheron and aventurine is looking to be pretty good... Good luck with yr pulls, also that cat dp with paimons halo is awesome 😂
@@Maevix3142 thanks, good luck, this silly kit kat is from gi silly wisher , better rate drop there 🤣🤣🤣💖💖💖👀👀👀
What if the watchmakers legacy is a stellaron?? I mean the core of everything in this game is the story of stellarons so maybe? What do you think about this? Idk something clicked in my head when you were talking about the watchmakers legacy. I could be yapping tho
I really enjoy your content and your videos and theories. Do you have like a discord server or consider opening one because the notifications on TH-cam are not reliable tbh and I think it would be cool to have a server for the your community and extra notifications just in case or maybe I am just stupid and can find yours? 😂
But doesn’t Acheron said that the place where she and aventurine talk is a fleeting dream in existence through one of the manifestations of IX ? Not a memory no ?
Maybe I read or hear wrong but I’m pretty that’s it.
Yup she mentions its a fleeting dream, I kinda take it as its an in between place rather than a memory and after what happened its just a transit point between where aventurine was and where he is trying to go
One thing it doesn’t explain is why his Cornerstone dimmed at the end of the cutscene, causing Jade to activate her own Cornerstone and the IPC to move in
I have a video coming out soon about the cornerstone, one of my guesses is that despite storing the powers of preservation it likely is a one time use and diamond is probably the only person who can reform it
put it this way - each ipc executive that owns a cornerstone kinda has some "bluetooth" connection to it
aventurine went too far away :>
So, what was the future & past aventurine part all about? I still don't understand whether he was hallucinating or something
From my understanding it was a result of the effects of the harmony killing him. His "life" flashing before his eyes past and what he perceive as his future self.
It was The Harmony with the help of the Dreamscape.
Honestly, a lot of logic is lost within the Dreamscape, as both illusion masters and memokeepers are way more powerful there than in reality because of how memoria works: ideas are able to be materialized and memokeepers basically can walk through walls and have extra sensitivity.
Okay but can someone explain to me why his stone was broken(he said he broke it himself)and how he hid it( it was in the gift bag right?)
He broke the stone because he knew the family would take it away and, in this broken state, the family wouldn't recognize the cornerstone as valuable/ worth taking away
@@Tyler-is7gm oh so kinda of an extra safety net if Sunday decided to search even more after getting Topaz and Jade stones?
@@jaykhobrekar3619 yes sunday expected aventurine try smug the cornerstone so when he found that he handed out topaz and had jade hidden at plane sight with some "random jewells" thought it was aventurines and thought he didnt have any aces under the sleeve. but he was wrong and the jewels was aventurine cornestone
@@jaykhobrekar3619 yep
To this days Aventurine is going to the other side
One question i have ? There all in a dream realm right?
So arent all the party involve in a hotel hoom?
Even after Adventurin is declare dead by Topaz criticly ,there no mention of the bodys ?
Yeah theyre all functionally in a dream and theyre bodies are just out in the real world on their beds, I think what topaz is referencing is aventurine not waking up rather than being like outright dead.
i don't think i feel like seeing mans "dead" body tbh 💀
Firefly can't dream ye so that's why she can come back from the real penacony aka the memory zone outside the walls.
You know, that black hole in the background the entire time made me feel some sort of fear.
I can't explain it. Just... that thing scared me like hell.
We've all seen something before, assuming you've watched Interstellar. But it's the first time I've been exposed to that more-or-less scientific representation of an actual black hole for a long amount of time and with it so dominant in the field of view.
... yeah.
On the story, some people say Firefly remains on this side because she can't dream, as she told Acheron in the earlier 2.1 cutscene. She's in the Dreamscape only because Silver Wolf hacked her in, probably because information is information or somesuch, but SW can't beat the "firewall" between the Dreamscape of Penacony and the larger one Aventurine got killed into.
Owel, Sunwell. Maybe the power of love - the Trailblazer's and Firefly's - will be the key :D
The scary thing about cosmic dread for me, or at least one of the scary things, is the scale. We hear about black holes and kinda brush it off but these things are immense cosmic objects and the sizes of the largest black holes are just absolutely insane. Its probably an instinctual fear as well coming from a fear of the unknown, something inherently primal in all living beings. Walking into something you dont understand or know what might happen is something only people like aventurine who clearly has some screws loose can do without fear
@@Maevix3142 I also realized, looking at various black hole animations similar to Interstellar's Gargantua, that the COLOR of IX probably added to my fear effect.
A "natural" black hole appears to have orange to yellow colors for its accretion disk. IX is... black and white?
Talk about being totally devoid of anything. And it's so... unnnatural.
He got eaten by the Nihility Archon the black slime 😔
I don’t think adventurine is trying to get out of the ipc or away from it with this plan but handing it over to penacony is a definite
