Yes, agree completely Dario; I feel that there is a lack of understanding to the creativity in his work. Yes, it's just a perfume but I've been following him and his work for a while now and there's more to his work than "it's just a perfume"....hence why I really wanted to spend time on each fragrance in his Nasomatto range

I was in a stairwell with a bunch of women last week, and someone commented “Oh my god, someone smells incredible!” And I just snapped back “That’s me.” I was wearing Duro. I knew it was me 😂

@@TheNicheFragranceCollector When you mentioned that the fragrance will “blossom” when you elevate your heart rate through activity, was quite intriguing! Does this normally happen with heavier concentrated fragrances such as Eau De Parfums and Parfums? Where do you apply your fragrances to accentuate this blossoming effect?
I love spraying on ‘heat zones’ on my body. I normally spray 3 times. One on left wrist/arm; then on my lower chest and finally on my stomach (all on skin). If I go for a 4th hit, then I’ll spray on the back of the neck (as a Latino we are forever hugging someone when we meet them, that they’ll get an instant hit of my perfume😉). Plus because these are Parfums, the oils in the fragrance hold longer on skin.
I find that each of these locations, helps the longevity of the fragrance on me. I start to sweat or heat up, and the fragrance pops.

Will I still be able to smell the fragrance that I spray on my solar plexus and stomach through my clothing? ( I don’t usually wear button down dress shirts;) I usually spray behind each ear and the back of my neck, and frequently go anosmic since most of my fragrances are Eau De Parfum or Parfum concentrations? How can I enjoy the nuances and scent progression throughout the day without going noseblind?

I feel that you've hit the nail on the head....you're going nose blind.
I only spray back of neck occasionally (only if I'm going to a social gathering where I know I'll be hugging family etc). Rule of thumb is avoid face, neck and top part of your chest.
You need to retrain your nose. I would place it on your solar plexus, stomach and arm. Then a test that you should do, is find out if those around you can smell your fragrance. If they're picking up, then you know that it's projecting correctly.
Now you need to allow your nose to catch up with you. I find the less I spray, the more I can smell it

Duro is a masterpiece for sure! Was not sure at the opening, but the drydown is phenomenal.
The longevity surprised me, with the other Nasomatto's I tried I got around 8 hours, but for this one it was almost double, smelled it still waking up next day.
I’m really impressed Sem that you have already resonated with this fragrance. This is the one I remember the lady was trying to convince me was a masterpiece… And I thought that she was insane!
Yes the longevity on this fragrance and its projection is very impressive. I’m interested to know your thoughts as a younger man and if you feel that it could play well with you… It’s not too mature?

If that was the only thing I smelled, I wouldn't call this a masterpiece, but after a couple of minutes it's amazing. Did you smell it on card back then?
I like to wear this, I find it masculine leaning but not too mature. I tried Bois du Portugal by Creed, I really liked it, but that one was way too mature for me.
So far I like Duro, Pardon and Silver Musk the most, but not sure which one to get first. So far I'm really impressed with Alessandro's perfumes, and haven't even tried out Black Afghano, Absinth and Baraonda (not to mention the entire Orto Parisi range).
Sem I have to congratulate you, for being such a young man you have an extraordinary appreciation for some really complex fragrances.
I would recommend to you Duro this will never go out of style, you’ll find that this will become a fragrance for life for you.
Out the other Nasomattos I would point you to Baraonda (this is another one that will never go out of style). And then I would jump across to the Orto Parisi, and go straight to Terroni and Stercus…. All three of those fragrances that I recommended, will be perfect for your European winter

With the Amouage 45 sample box and the 500 euro Roja Dove's Elysium with black friday I went quite over the monthly budget I allow myself to buy fragrances with.
On the other hand this is good so I can spend some more time with the fragrances I already have and give samples more time.

I got a sample of this and silver musk and just bought both of them straight from the company. I layered Silver Musk and Dero one on each wrist and I can't get enough of the two aromas mixing together.
Boom Baby!! I need to try this layering....but already know that it would work perfectly. I actually think that Silver Musk would be awesome with any other fragrance and might even magnify it's projection....?? (thoughts on this @theWiseman23)

Great review. Had to return to this review because I wore this gem for the second time since adding it to my collection last year. In the morning, I panicked for a second because I thought I’d possibly over sprayed. Crisis averted- I had a phenomenal scent bubble but did not ‘choke anyone out’. BUT I digress. While I know that my body heat often makes fragrances bloom on my skin, I had to underscore your point about body heat. It is now early evening in New Jersey and I just completed a project walk-thru. As my body temperature increased,Duro began to absolutely ignite and was noticed by my construction crew and my Team!! Awesome blossom

Hi Marcelo. I've just picked this one up heavily discounted (ordered today) so rewatching TH-cam reviews and hoping I made a good choice. Sounds like I have. I already own Baraonda and Pardon with Duro being the only other from the line that truly interested me. Black Afgano is an outside bet though but not entirely sure about it.
Congrats Sandy, Duro is in my top 3 most used with the Nasomatto (along with Pardon and Baraonda😎: th-cam.com/video/_wr3549VdOY/w-d-xo.html ) so good choice mate
I do love Black Afgano but I find myself reaching for the others in the collection more often than BA.

Regarding Duro...We bought it years ago because of the vox populi and hype. We even tried it that time and honestly, we didn't like it as much as we hoped for, but we collect these things and we just bought ut...Now, after years of having it and years of nose development if you will 😀 We Love This Thing 😍

It's funny how I had the same experience as per your comments here. Duro was the first one that I smelt and thought "what poison are you trying to sell me??" Now❤️🥰😍....at first spray, at dry down, just love this fragrance

This is tough, as there are a number of really amazing fragrances in the range, and to bring it down to only 2 is tough....so I'm going to suggest a number and then let you explore for yourself. I strongly suggest that you test on skin with each of these as I know that you'll resonate with some more than others, but I love these and if possible I would say, buy all of them😬😉

Of the 2 I use Duro more often. I find that this works for me in every occasion. Perfect as a day fragrance. Perfect as a going out fragrance. Incredible longevity. Awesome perfume.
Pardon for me is my 'going out' fragrance. I tend to use this more for special occasions. I have tried using this as a day to day fragrance, but for some reason it doesn't feel right to me (I know that sounds weird, but thats how my brain reacts to it). Whereas as an evening or 'date' fragrance, it's magic and it heights my mood.

Good question my friend, I have no idea though.
My understanding is that Alessandro doesn’t reformulate his fragrances. But as I mentioned, I don’t know this for certain
I’d love to hear your opinion on Aoud Musk by Montale because it’s like the genetically identical twin of Duro!
