Building a cheap, simple little ambulance changed my life. No more runs to the hospital. I just leave mine parked down on the beach at South Harbor. Not quite as easy as using an amphibious SAR vehicle, but you don't have to compromise your boat design to make it work.
You should build when it's night, time still passes in the game while in the workbench.

Speedy Boatzales! AI are... not too bright. Jumping often make them stop following, guaranteed if you hold Shift at the time (never sprint and jump). Plus they are morons, standing in fires and what not. Wish they had at least some level of actual AI other than the follow, which in all honesty - while among the best following in any game - is not AI at all, merely copying your moves (or attempt to). But please do keep the series going, I am enjoying it. Plus now you can make land vehicles at this starter base, which is a big game changer I feel.

Fun fact if you hook a rope to the boat and hold it in your hand you can pull it by hand. Works well with smaller boats. I damaged my prop one time at the hospital island sandbar and swam the boat all the way back to the workbench.

I have the Specs for the U.S. Navy Tacoma-class Patrol Frigates (PF's) from World War Two for you man. Of the 96 Ships built, only 3 are Preserved as Museum Ships; USS Tacoma (PF-3) in South Korea as the ROKS Taedong (PF-63), USS Glendale (PF-36) as the Royal Thai Navy Ship HMTS Tachin (PF-1) and the USS Gallup (PF-47) as the Royal Thai Navy Ship HTMS Prasae (PF-2).

Remember the Build Suggestion for the Guns I brought up back in Season 3 of this series man. I should warn you that each of these ships had a complement of 190 Men. 21 Ships were also sent to the British Royal Navy and 28 to the Soviet Navy under Lend-Lease. Don't forget to check these ships out on Wikipedia when you get the chance man. More Ships will be coming!

I have also noticed the NPC's on missions being annoying and not wanting to follow or getting stuck all the time, used to be different I hope it gets fixed
I thought using sea water for cooling damaged your engines. Is that no longer a feature or was it dialed back?
Maybe over hours of use but yeah no damage. Real boats use saltwater/freshwater depending on location to cool as well. As long as you flush the system clean your good.

I believe you can zero trim by holding both, opposing directions at the same time (along with the trim key, of course)?

Ok wtf. I have a very similar boat, very similar engines with the same cooling setup. But rampant overheating. Replaced the engine driven water pumps with electric. Then I was draining battery. So added a second set of alternators (2 engines). Now I have overheating AND battery drain even at like 12 RPS. I'm sure it's something stupid. 😭
That's unfortunate. Maybe something was backwards?
It’s like they want you to use modular engines now..the base engine blocks are so in fuel efficient it’s absurd
