  • In this video I will talk about the variants of the same rubber, how not to get lost in choosing rubbers, what is the List of authorized racket coverings and how many different rubbers and manufacturers there are. I will pay the most attention to the DHS Hurricane 3 rubber and explain how many different versions of that rubber exist and how to choose the right one for you.

    Hi Dario! Did you ever tried DHS Skyline TG3 NEO? If yes, how does it compare to DHS Hurricane 3 NEO? I heard it's a bit softer and has more dwell time but I would like a personal opinion from you. Thanks!

      Hi. Personally I would go in this order:
      1. tabletennis11.com
      2. contra.de
      3. dhs-729.eu
      they are all in Europe, but the first two ship worldwide

    Hi Dario, thanks for taking the time and providing us with a lot of information. Quite useful. One of the best channels related to TT! I have a question. My new-non tacky H3neo brought me her. Is it true, that the “new” H3s are not as tacky, as they used to be some years ago? I loved the tackiness of old H3- after 2 years club play, its still more tacky than my new H3n(boosted). What's your opinion on this? Is there a subliment for the old H3? Where to find the old-sticky-godfather of powerloop?

    • @DarioGrd
      @DarioGrd  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi. Yes, DHS changed the H3 a lot. Newer rubbers are much less tacky. With this, they wanted to gain speed and adapt the rubber to plastic balls.
      It's hard to get the old sticky H3 anywhere anymore, if you want to stay with DHS, players who want stickier rubbers usually choose Skyline. Or you simply choose something from another manufacturer, eg Battle II

    • @DarioGrd
      @DarioGrd  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Check out the shorts I posted recently and you'll see how sticky Battle II is, it's hard to get the ball off of it 😄

    Hi, I am coming back to the sport after several years… want to try the hurricane 3 neo 39 degree FH and hurricane 3 neo soft 37 degree BH. I was planing to put the rubbers on my old blade, Butterfly primorac japan or on my butterfly korbel. What is your opinion, on this combination? I have read, the rubbers without booster are fairly slow. Is it necessary to switch to a faster blade and what blade would you recommend for the hurricane 3 Neo.

    • @DarioGrd
      @DarioGrd  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi. No need to spend money in advance. First try how it will suit you on those two blades, and if it will be too slow for you, then take some blade that has outer carbon (my recommendation is ALC). Also, it doesn't have to be extremely fast blade for these rubbers if you can create enough power yourself, but yes my recommendation is a booster, without a booster the rubbers are pretty much dead.

      Thanks for your reply. I am not planning on boosting myself, actually I thought the Neo visions are factory boosted. Is the Hurricane Neo not playable without booster? If so, can you recommend a close alternative?

    • @DarioGrd
      @DarioGrd  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@terencesondermann2695
      Yes, neo is factory boosted. I play on the forehand with the Hurricane 3 Neo 40 deg and the factory boost is not enough for me. I know players who play with H3 Neo without booster, so it is possible but then you need to use more power in your shots. With 37 deg you could probably play without a booster, and for 39 deg you should try.
      Hybrid rubbers are partly similar to H3, and do not need a booster. Well, you can try one of them, there are a lot of them, so I'll list only a few: Butterfly Dignics 09c, Tibhar K3, Yasaka Rakza Z...
      If you really want one that is cheaper and Chinese, then look at my last review: th-cam.com/video/wjWna8PGbwA/w-d-xo.html

    • @DarioGrd
      @DarioGrd  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi. Initially, all H3 versions are slower than D09C. Unless you put a lot of booster, then you can get a speed about the same as D09C or maybe a little faster.

    Hi Dario, need your opinion about rubber and its thickness to be put on 1. Nittaku acoustic and 2. Zang jike ALC ( both are near to each other in feeling / vibration on touch of ball ). rubbers are Rakza Z / Nittaku G1 / Tibhar K1 euro ( Max or 2.0 in thickness) which will help in BH flick and FH top spin. ( for mid level player ).

    • @DarioGrd
      @DarioGrd  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi. Of the mentioned rubbers, I only played with the Rakza Z. So I can only comment on the Rakza. It's definitely very good for a flick, and for details you can watch my video where I compare Rakza Z, Dignics 09c and Codexx EL Pro 52 (th-cam.com/video/-8puFywe0hg/w-d-xo.html) or the comparison of Tenergy 19 and Rakza Z (th-cam.com/video/Nua819Gnfok/w-d-xo.html)

    Which one to choose as a BH rubber? Maybe the 3-50 or just a 37 degrees?

    • @DarioGrd
      @DarioGrd  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I don't play with the H3 on the backend, but if I were to choose a H3 for the BH, it would definitely be one with a softer sponge. Like you said 3-50 or NEO with 37 or 38 degrees.

  • @AbhayHegde
    @AbhayHegde ปีที่แล้ว

    Which one do you recommend for an intermediate to advanced player , training 3 hours per day and is used to Tenergy 05 on both sides !?

    • @DarioGrd
      @DarioGrd  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If you have used Tenergy up to now, which has a soft sponge, then it might be too much of a shock to go immediately to a harder sponge. My recommendation is a slightly softer sponge, so 39 or softer and I would start with the Provincial NEO version. If you like the Provincial version, only then would I go for the National version, which is even more expensive. It should also be taken into account that it is a completely different rubber than the T05 and requires different strokes. Likewise, my recommendation is to boost it. If you have never done it, there is a video on my channel: th-cam.com/video/eIUjQV0wf7c/w-d-xo.html

    • @AbhayHegde
      @AbhayHegde ปีที่แล้ว

      @@DarioGrd I am mentally preparing for the shock :) .My goal is to improve my technique. I personally Tenergy is bouncy and lacks control. I might also try without boosting it. Neo needs no glue to be applied as it's factory tuned?

    • @DarioGrd
      @DarioGrd  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@AbhayHegde Hehehe. I agree with what you state about T05. If you are thinking about H3 without booster, then definitely get the NEO version. It already has the factory booster in the sponge and glue on the sponge, although in my experience it is still better to add an additional booster. However, I know some players who play with the H3 NEO without an additional booster.
