  • This is an experimental aesthetic approach project that aims to make the velomobile's appearance look more attractive, in comparison with vehicles on velomobile market. It is a relatively slow-speed vehicle that, with its friendly and eye-catching appearance, makes itself acceptable to other participants on road. The design is particularly sensitive to the relation between nature and physical environment, dynamics and organic movement are expressed on it's lines and formal language.

    Dayum, for one I thougt it was a render, but then I saw the forms and all.
    This is fantastic, as most velomobiles look fugly as hell.

    • @eelcohoogendoorn8044
      @eelcohoogendoorn8044 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Same; it has that render-level perfection to the finish.
      Its quite high seated for a trike though; curious how that pans out in terms of cornering stability.

    • @VEC7ORlt
      @VEC7ORlt 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yeah, now that you mentioned it - probably not the best - for how tall it is front track is way too narrow - on a classic tadpole your ass almost touches the pavement and the wheelbase look wider - those are pretty stable, velomobiles are low as well but narrower and still relatively easy to flip.

      I've done quite a bit of research on this topic in recent years. It is not worth producing economically in the quantity that could be sold. It would be too expensive, see the prices of other velomobiles. It can be bought for the price of a used small car, so it is not attractive to larger crowds. There are two ways: 1. High tech and well engineering eventually result in a very expensive product.
      2. garage tuning cannot compete on the market in terms of quality and is therefore not marketable.

    An electrical version of that is one step closer to cut carbon emissions ... before we have more safe high speed bicycle lanes for even more earodynamic designs that are lower to the ground (less safe vs trucks). I suspect something looking like that or similar could reduce airflow resistance compared to other electrical bikes. There should also be incentives to reduce acceleration and drive economically (consistent speed) with less use of the brakes. Safety may also increase with the introduction of more self driven cars which in turn may make the different velo designs more relevant.

    • @zazugee
      @zazugee 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      yes, the solution already exist, but people complain about "there are no functional 0 carbon vehicles"
      while there are, but when people see the price of carbon hull velomobiles, they scream "too expensive"
      or they complain about lack of space, while the reason for the mess of cars is bc of unused space

      ReCycle Spinning
      I believe the same!!! They can be used for longer trips than most people think!!! The US ticks me off when it comes to such designs! It is considered a bicycle/trike whatever with or without electric assist, with electric assist they can only go no more than 21mph on the power of the electric only I beleive but maybe even peddle/electric assist to remain in the bicycle category....otherwise ....get this....they require the operator to get a motor cycle endorsement...even if the majority of the speed comes from the person if it has electrical assist all is my understanding!!!! I could be wrong but it is ridiculous to me! So those who are manufacturing anything like this are keeping it low speed to keep the bicyclists attracted and upping the prics I believe for those that can go faster speeds, regardless!
      I'm one against charging for licensing and registrations, especially at the rages they charge and likely the hoops one has to go through just to get it done!!! One of the biggest reasons is the licensing and registrations for vehicles was hijaccked in the states anyway by corrupt individuals and politicians as have most things in our and most countries!!!!
      Vehicle registrations were intended for people using personal vehicles during the performance of duties as an employee or even volunteer of the state, county, city, etc..... i.e. checking roads for damages(pot holes, etc.) Simply meant to insure the vehicle during that time in the event of an accident so person and vehicle would be covered by their insurance!
      The corrupted changed everything even then into the vehicle becoming property of the state, etc., then they began charging people, and using theft and tracking as the reasoning people should register their vehicles, never taking the ownership clause off of course, hence an officer's ability to commandeer a vehicle!!! And of course licensing...ID, vehicle, etc. To include registrations, All for money, tracking and control, for their sake, not ours, though they made sure there was enough theft and crimes to push the ideas, same as they are pushing as much gun violence as possible, to try and end our rights to own and protect ourselves....against them(which will be using and controlling military to bully nad/or attack citizens illegally) they used the military to go into New Orleans and disarm all citizens they could find with weapons....only to have others, family, locals, friends and neighbors to find those same individuals, raped, robbed, abused and some dead due to their inability to defend themselves against any criminals still packing after the military raids against INNOCENT, NONVIOLENT, LAW ABIDING CITIZENS!!!! They used law abiding weapon registrations to know exactly who and where to target and illegally by force under meant to carry through threats of jail and/or death!!!
      Sure there are good legal reasons for registering some info, but we must stand up and make sure government never does this again! We must fight with President Trump to get these swamp monsters outta DC, outta powerful positions and so forth!!! We need to push forward laws that PREVENT Congress and other government branches and agencies from deciding their own raises and budget increases! That prevent them EVER obtaining such info during crisis times for any reason, that hold employees/elected or otherwise immediately responsible for their actions with immediate dismissal if appropriate without pay and loss of any retirement funds contributed by agency/gov should they need dismissed, to confiscate all if they have broken laws, especially against citizens etc.
      We NEED TO ALL WAKE UP, &
      SHAKE OURSELVES INTO ACTION!!!!
      IT IS NOT ENOUGH TO WAKE UP WE MUST ALL IMMEDIATELY MOVE INTO TAKING ACTION TO PUSH LAWFUL ACTIONS AND TO STOP ILLEGAL ACTIONS, TO PUSH LAWFUL INVESTIGATIONS AND PUSH TO STOP UNLAWFUL AND/OR OVER EXTENSIVE INVESTIGATIONS, I.E. MUELLER TEAM AND INVESTIGATION....ALL CONFLICTED, TOO LONG TOO MUCH MONEY, UNLAWFUL MEANS OF INVESTIGATING ....THOSE IN THE KNOW OF ILLEGALLY OBTAINING WARRANTS WITH LIES THEY LEAKED TO PRESS TO MAKE CONVINCING MUST BE ARRESTED TRIED AND CONVICTED TO THE FULLEST EXTENT OF THE LAW FOR THEY USED THE LAW AND THE AUTHORITIES, POWERS GIVEN THEM TO DO AS THEY DID!!
      WE MUST PEACEFULLY PRESENT OUR PROTESTS, OUR DISAGREEMENT WITH, AND PRESENT THE REASONING FOR THE PROTESTATIONS TO THE FULLEST EXTENT SO THE ILLEGALITY CANNOT BE IGNORED!!!!! WE MUST NOT REMAIN SILENT, WE MUST NOT REMAIN SEATED!!!
      MY APOLOGIES for turning this into a protest, but the good in the world has set back and prayed and hoped those good in government and law enforcement would police and take care of, for far too long, but they are not so we must all pull together and do more than pray and/or hope...we must push that, righteousness, lawfulness, be sought out, carried through and completed to the fullest extent of righteousness and law for any and all victims living and dead of such darknesses and evil!!! As much as I believe in forgiveness, I am more against the lifetimes of these evil families raping, murdering, enslaving, persecuting and pillaging of completely innocent people, and covering it all up and continuing to do so over and over and over again!!! We cannot turn a blind eye to such atrocities, to do so makes us just as guilty of the atrocities!!! There are not hundreds of thousands of people kidnapping and raping and murdering over and over, no it is organized and done for the so called elites! They are monsters! From the pope to the queen to the rothschilds to politicians, entertainers, those in pkwerful positions, wealthy all mostly to control those needed to perform whatever function, i.e. Lawmaking, propaganda, law enforcing etc. It used to be everyone in power of anykind MUST be married to hold that position in the wealthy families, royalties, politicians, even entertaining...reason being was so they could set the individual up with a postitute and/or affair and drug usage to blackmail, bribe extort them and keep control of them into doing whatever or threats of exposure! That basically stopped for the most part in the US anyway with Kennedy! No one cared nor were they surprised of the posibility of an affair with Marilyn....thus began the age of missing children and people all over the world! Introduced them into their occult which supposedly gave them power and money and immortality...raping an innocent and forcing them to climax and consuming that release according to the demented alister crowley brings immortality and physical power, and draining and drinking blood at this moment according to the demented albert pike brings power via wealth, etc....this is what the cabal believe, they believe they can be forgiven and not lynch mobbed by us once we finally believe and see since they no longer murder their victims to drink the blood but instead medically withdraw it! They fail to mention this allows them to repeat the immortality and power rituals until the innocent becomes numb and accustomed so as they know the routine and are no longer scared! Then they turn these innocents into sleeper agents for them, into prostitutes, housekeeping/cooking for them slaves, into part of the family via adoption, into drug ring and other rings mules, cookers, producers, production line workers,etc. into leutinents in their rings running the slavery of it all!!!!
      Even the queen, phillip, charles...not sure about the boys but also the popes and other long term leaders, royalty, etc. are almost all in on this evil!!! There are those fighting this, i.e. President Trump, but they need us to become vigilant in documenting all suspicious activity, stopping all illegal activities known asap!!!!
      We MUST stop waiting and help ourselves for the LORD or anyone else to help us!!!
      All of my love and the love blessings and grace of our LORD ALMIGHTY unto you and yours today and for always!!!!💞💞💞💞💞

I have now done 1500 miles + to date. (It does get a bit hot going up hills in the summer, though, so I have been using a recumbent trike lately, when it is dry and I don't need to carry as much).

    I'm trying to design a pedal assist quad velomobile that is also an electric boat. But with developable surfaces so I can be build either with plywood and stitch and glue or with foam core. And no suspension probably. It would be rather big and heavy though.

    Mr. Szasz,
    How much would you say did it cost for this production prototype from start to finish. Also the time it took you to complete in hours.

    • @zoltanszaszdesign
      @zoltanszaszdesign  2 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Too much money and countless hours spent on it. If you thinking about to start a project like this, you can calculate with few months for design, 1-2 months to collect all needed parts and materials, few weeks for masterpiece and tooling,4-6 months intensive workshop for the rest. And other few years for testing, finishing, modify, refine and so on. I made it without team and support, depends also from available capacity and workflow.

  • @daszieher
    @daszieher 5 ปีที่แล้ว

    Excellent work! I've always wanted to build my thesis project in the flesh as it was only a calculation/simulation. I did concentrate on the tilting/steering mechanics so there was not much time to actually build something.
    I like your approach for the vehicle to feel more "organic" and better integrate into its environment. Modern cars isolate their drivers far too much from their environment which is especially bad in urban settings.

    That is a killer design, liking the campagnolo cranks too if I'm not mistaken? Personally would prefer slightly larger front wheels+ skinnier tyres but it's a lovely looking beast!
    How much to build me one?

    • @zoltanszaszdesign
      @zoltanszaszdesign  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I don't see how the price will be. Further stability improvement is needed on front.

    • @The_R_Vid
      @The_R_Vid 4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      One of the challenges with larger diameter wheels on the front will be needing a wider track to maintain the same turning radius. Increasing track width will also increase challenges in fitting between bollards on some bike paths. As with all design decisions, compromises are made to reach a usable end. To each their own based on the desired trip functionality needed! Cheers.

    Beautiful. Trying to find an affordable velomobile. Electric motor pedal assist for my commute to work. Speed limited to EU regulations, so i'm ok to travel. The speed limit is low at around 25km/hr assist but hopefully that will change. I believe much faster vehicles are permitted in the USA. Looked at the Iris etrike and the Frikar podbike but at around £5000 they are too expensive for me.

    • @zoltanszaszdesign
      @zoltanszaszdesign  ปีที่แล้ว +4

      I know from my own experience that it is not possible to do it cheaper, only if you increase the number of pieces in production. No one can sell many of these. It costs four times £5,000 to make one...
