One thing that's important to keep in mind about Reborn is that it is literally a tech demo for Story Mode. It's not really meant to be seen as its own full-fledged game, but more as a testing ground for graphics, animations and AI mechanics.

I'm surprised that you've never brought up the jumpscare sounds in Nixon's games. The thing that stuck out and disturbed me most about the original TJOC and Rachel's was that the characters mostly had deep roars instead of screams; as far as I remember, Nixon was the first to do it, or at least make it popular. It made the animatronics sound like they were possessed, and it was definitely one of the highlights of TJOC when it first came out. I think it's definitely something to mention when you review Story Mode.
I feel like this doesn’t matter too much, but Freddy and Bonnie do have SLIGHT differences in mechanics, Freddy is slower than you are down long halls, but can take corners quickly. Bonnie is faster than you are down long halls, but slower going around corners, allowing you to escape him
To this day I still find JoC:R 's Foxy to be the most batshit unhinged take on a slender-like minigame. He's like a goddamn freight train once he gets going. He's not hard to deal with, but sometimes you barely have half a second to react

Before watching this video I had never even heard of the most of these games. The only title I remember hearing about was The Joy of Creation Reborn. It’s cool to see a fnaf game in the walking sim format even when it’s not normally played out well I thought reborn captured it the best that it could. Great video as always uhyeah!
5:48 yes, you canonically play as Scott Cawthon throughout TJOC, and the main theme here is that the animatronics have been able to enter our world thanks to Micheal Afton, and all 5 of them (there's more than 5, but no spoilers DUH) are hunting Cawthon because he *retired* from FNaF game's, and there would be no more FNaF due to this, thus the animatronics want him dead for this. This is what makes TJOC happen in the first place

What i love about it, is how dark and brutal it really is, as well as being mysterious and creepy, without overexplained stuff regarding the paranormal, which is what ruined FNAF in the end
The animatronics just banzai charging at you is something that really unnerves me. Especially hearing their metallic thumping steps getting closer and closer makes me feel more panicked than usual
A few small and insignificant issues with the TJOC:R section regarding everybody but Freddy: - Bonnie, supposedly, can tell when you're running and will act accordingly, plus he runs faster than you, incentivising avoiding him altogether. Not drastically different from Freddy, but still worth mentioning. - Foxy only cares if you have the flashlight on him without him charging you. You totally can just chill with him indefinitely until he charges you, which is when you flash the light on him. What's even creepier is that he will literally just follow you until he decides to charge you, even stopping to make sure he's an appropriate distance away from you (only a few steps away from your character). Standing around with him in the dark with his jaw hanging open is freaky as hell when you know damn well he's gonna bumrush you at any second or if you turn on that light too early, easily making his section the best. - The pages in Chica's Forest are indeed the only objects in the game with predetermined spawn points. That's all. Great video, still!
I think there is also a bug where in freddys bonnies and foxys stage one of the objects wont spawn. Ive memorised every single one of the items and their spawn points but for some reason sometimes one of the objects will not be present. Also when it comes to freddy and bonnie they respond to noise. You can follow them slowly but if you interact with your flashlight or if you run near them they instantly start chasing you. Then if you get really far away from them then walking slowly can help you lose them as long as you stay out of their sight. The thing about bonnie is that hes faster than freddy and there is a chance he will not bump as often in corners when you turn
In my defensive opinion reborn was a proof of concept for story mode, I feel like he had the idea of what he wanted story mode final product might be, but wasn't sure if the project was worth the dev time until reborns and the FNAF3 version of tjoc reception blew up
21:41 I'm not sure how it took me an entire 90 seconds to realize Pumpkin Party was playing, but I damn near had a heart attack when I did. I could almost see this being coincidental if it just happened to be a search result for Halloween-sounding music, but considering the song's full title, I doubt any TH-camr would just go along with it without a second thought if they weren't already familiar with the song. He knows.
Pumpkin Party in Sea Hitler's Water Apocalypse. It's a song from Homestuck about a character named Eridan, who is the alien equivalent of a white supremacist. Only instead of skin colour, it's blood colour as trolls (their species) have a very strict and oppressive cast system based on that trait. Eridan Ampura's blood colour is one beneath royalty and is a massive ass about it. EDIT: This song is actually attributed to Her Imperial Condescension. My bad.

There's actually one more game that you've forgotten about/didn't know, which is the living room tech demo which is labeled as Story Mode demo which may be why it was overlooked. The demo itself is nothing like the actual game with only 2 mechanics being added one of which was reworked to holy hell but it's just like the original demo in which you try to survive for as long as possible and is actually really interesting and more engaging than any of the others (imo) Spoilers if no one wants to know/believes it gives too much of the current story mode feeling away The game play is the exact same as the 2015 demo and locks you in a location only able to move by clicking. First it spawns you in a room with 3 doors as you stay on a sofa with the doors on the left and right belonging to Freddy and Bonnie, while the door right behind you lies foxy. Finally chica is on the TV in front of you. Foxy functions the exact same as the original requiring you to flash your light on them while Freddy and Bonnie require you to run over to the door and look at how close they are. If they are too close, you need to run over to the couch and hide behind it as you watch them look around and pass bay. Finally chica who will only progress when the lights are off which they will randomly turn off causing the TV to turn into static, the only way to fix this is to run over to one of the 2 doors and click on the light switch to turn it on. Other than that, that's about everything the demo has however I vaguely remember a bedroom level being added in the last update being so buggy to access that the creator gave out a save file for people to play it. It's definitely worth your time to check out just to see the basics of what we eventually got but the only way to really play it is to look for a re-upload on Game Jolt (or maybe the original post on Game Jolt however I can't find that) One final thing to note is from the future Ignited Collection which will contain every single version of the old Joy of creation games in a revamped version, the models for the new Freddy and Chica have been publicly posted on Game Jolt by Nikson which is more of a polish than "remodeled" and was planned on releasing in 2021 and well... This post is 2 years old now but was an interesting find none the less Sorry for the long post but wanted to share some interesting things that were missed whether or not it was intended for the official Story Mode video or its own (however very unlikely)
I think that even the first game was at least a good start so that the creator could get an idea of what people liked and what they didn’t, as well as testing himself.
Seeing how bad the first TJOC was, really makes you love the new one even more, also the new Ignited Bonnie mode from Nickson, looks absolutely amazing
I still remember watching Markiplier playing TJOC reborn for the first time. The visuals and free roaming blew me away when I first saw them. I also completely agree about the time limit. I personally think time limits can (and usually do) completely ruin the gameplay of a game. I think they should only be for challenge modes, or if the game is completely centered around it, instead of just being for forced difficulty. *cough* Xenoverse *cough*

so you know that TJOC: REBORN was just a demo for the TJOC: Story Mode... right? it was just supposed to be a proof-of-concept and not really meant to be a full game. the challenge modes were meant to show off the animatronics - yeah there's some things that REBORN needs polished (such as the Chica section that's basically just Slender, half the time in that mode - Chica doesn't even work as intended)

What I would have done regarding the Halloween Edition would be as follows: Make the hammer spawn in a location that's on the other side of the building, and make ignited sprintrap be in that room, not active yet. Basically if you enter he kills you. But if you lure him out using the audio queue he wakes up, and goes to the specified location. This makes obtaining the hammer static, while also giving you an idea on how to audio lure works on the game, by forcing you to use it. What I would do to balance this however, is that the lighter does not spawn before you have activated ignited sprintrap, because picking it up before activating him would be cheesy. What do you think?
If SB had went for more of a realistic horror take like TJoC it would have been much better. Instead, it went for a brightly lit and cartoonish art style. SB should have been in complete or near complete darkness, so the animatronics could sneak up on you if you don't see them, would add more tension. Also, the withered versions of the animatronics aren't even scary looking, and the jumpscares are too long.
The joy of creation reborn and co weren't made as full games. They were more of demonstrations of what Nickson had in mind. They didn't suck. They weren't intended as games. The problem is that people like you have essentially turned the term of demo into full release.
One thing that Nixon always seems to do is go as far has he can with whatever the game he’s working on. TJoC with being 3D and a free roam FNaF well before that became more normal, plus seeing some stuff he’s helped with outside FNaF, like Dark Deception, this becomes quite obvious and is why I do quite like what Nixon makes.
I feel like if reborn was more centered around observation and hiding thr flashlight bobbing not only would have been a really cool showcase of lights and stuff but would be an actual incentive not to run everywhere and only do so in emergencies.

That's neat, I think, and thanks for saying this, because I worried for a bit that they may not have been "real" like many other TH-cam sponsors have been revealed to be. If they already existed before, and have grown over time, that makes it more likely that they are what they claim to be. Too many TH-cam ads turn out to either be misleading advertising, or just outright scams, sadly. Hopefully that changes for the landscape-at-large!

Yeah not a great idea to have items in fixed locations for tjoc:r since that would ruin replayability. It'd be like if the animatronics in FNAF moved in the fixed routes & times during nights. Easier? Sure, but once you know it then what's left to do? Totally agree on the time limit, it doesn't add much. I'd prefer the animatronics to get more aggressive if you really start taking too long.
I think random spawns for objects are okay if they are implemented correctly. For example, in CoD Zombies, the parts for the shield spawn in random locations. However, it is typically in a small radius or even one room, so you at least know where to search.
I personally think the second game would be better with actual stealth and a timer, stealth games are most fun when you mess up and need to improvise your way out and the timer makes you take risks to get you into bad situations to improvise out of.

You actually forgot about one game that came before the full TJOC story mode. You missed the TJOC Story Mode demo, which had like one night and it was the living room from TJOC:SM. The night mechanics were way different than the TJOC SM full version. There was no free roam, Bonnie would replace Foxys place in the right door, Freddy was in the same location, but foxy was replacing Bonnie's place in the middle double doors. You would be able to peek through all of the doors keyholes except for the double doors. The TV in the game was not used to see where bonnie and Freddy were, but it would be used for Ignited Chica. Freddy & Bonnie: You would have to peek through the keyholes to see where they were and when they were close you would have to hide behind the couch and turn off the lights (i think) Foxy: When you heard foxy open the double doors you had a small amount of time to turn around and flash him for him to reset exactly like the original TJOC. Chica: You would see Chica on the TV, to deal with her you would just have to make sure to keep the TV on. Randomly the lights would turn off and the TV would just have static. If this went on for too long, Chica would jumpscare you and kill you. So when the lights turned off randomly you would just have to turn them back on before chica killed you. The game got deleted by Nikson after TJOC SM was fully released but I found a reupload of the game from someone else on gamejolt. Actually I'm pretty sure some items have permanent spawn points such as the typewriter. So there is an advantage to planning your path

In my defensive opinion reborn was a proof of concept for story mode, I feel like he had the idea of what he wanted story mode final product might be, but wasn't sure if the project was worth the dev time until reborns and the FNAF3 version of tjoc reception blew up

I could almost see this being coincidental if it just happened to be a search result for Halloween-sounding music, but considering the song's full title, I doubt any TH-camr would just go along with it without a second thought if they weren't already familiar with the song.

Pumpkin Party in Sea Hitler's Water Apocalypse. It's a song from Homestuck about a character named Eridan, who is the alien equivalent of a white supremacist. Only instead of skin colour, it's blood colour as trolls (their species) have a very strict and oppressive cast system based on that trait. Eridan Ampura's blood colour is one beneath royalty and is a massive ass about it.

There's actually one more game that you've forgotten about/didn't know, which is the living room tech demo which is labeled as Story Mode demo which may be why it was overlooked.
The demo itself is nothing like the actual game with only 2 mechanics being added one of which was reworked to holy hell but it's just like the original demo in which you try to survive for as long as possible and is actually really interesting and more engaging than any of the others (imo)
Spoilers if no one wants to know/believes it gives too much of the current story mode feeling away
The game play is the exact same as the 2015 demo and locks you in a location only able to move by clicking. First it spawns you in a room with 3 doors as you stay on a sofa with the doors on the left and right belonging to Freddy and Bonnie, while the door right behind you lies foxy. Finally chica is on the TV in front of you. Foxy functions the exact same as the original requiring you to flash your light on them while Freddy and Bonnie require you to run over to the door and look at how close they are. If they are too close, you need to run over to the couch and hide behind it as you watch them look around and pass bay. Finally chica who will only progress when the lights are off which they will randomly turn off causing the TV to turn into static, the only way to fix this is to run over to one of the 2 doors and click on the light switch to turn it on.
Other than that, that's about everything the demo has however I vaguely remember a bedroom level being added in the last update being so buggy to access that the creator gave out a save file for people to play it. It's definitely worth your time to check out just to see the basics of what we eventually got but the only way to really play it is to look for a re-upload on Game Jolt (or maybe the original post on Game Jolt however I can't find that)
One final thing to note is from the future Ignited Collection which will contain every single version of the old Joy of creation games in a revamped version, the models for the new Freddy and Chica have been publicly posted on Game Jolt by Nikson which is more of a polish than "remodeled" and was planned on releasing in 2021 and well... This post is 2 years old now but was an interesting find none the less

I think that even the first game was at least a good start so that the creator could get an idea of what people liked and what they didn’t, as well as testing himself.
Seeing how bad the first TJOC was, really makes you love the new one even more, also the new Ignited Bonnie mode from Nickson, looks absolutely amazing

I still remember watching Markiplier playing TJOC reborn for the first time. The visuals and free roaming blew me away when I first saw them.
I also completely agree about the time limit. I personally think time limits can (and usually do) completely ruin the gameplay of a game. I think they should only be for challenge modes, or if the game is completely centered around it, instead of just being for forced difficulty. *cough* Xenoverse *cough*

I feel like TJOC definitley has more…I don’t know how to say it, personality? The animatronics have their own unique and flawless jumpscares and somewhat personality? This game has a good story line and it is a good game overall.
Honestly, I've seen this law firm on a couple FNAF TH-cam channels recently and, while I'm glad you're getting sponsored, I gotta think this can't be their target demographic.

so you know that TJOC: REBORN was just a demo for the TJOC: Story Mode... right? it was just supposed to be a proof-of-concept and not really meant to be a full game. the challenge modes were meant to show off the animatronics - yeah there's some things that REBORN needs polished (such as the Chica section that's basically just Slender, half the time in that mode - Chica doesn't even work as intended)

What I would have done regarding the Halloween Edition would be as follows:
Make the hammer spawn in a location that's on the other side of the building, and make ignited sprintrap be in that room, not active yet.
Basically if you enter he kills you. But if you lure him out using the audio queue he wakes up, and goes to the specified location.
This makes obtaining the hammer static, while also giving you an idea on how to audio lure works on the game, by forcing you to use it.
What I would do to balance this however, is that the lighter does not spawn before you have activated ignited sprintrap, because picking it up before activating him would be cheesy.

If SB had went for more of a realistic horror take like TJoC it would have been much better.
Instead, it went for a brightly lit and cartoonish art style.
SB should have been in complete or near complete darkness, so the animatronics could sneak up on you if you don't see them, would add more tension.
Also, the withered versions of the animatronics aren't even scary looking, and the jumpscares are too long.
The joy of creation reborn and co weren't made as full games. They were more of demonstrations of what Nickson had in mind. They didn't suck. They weren't intended as games. The problem is that people like you have essentially turned the term of demo into full release.
One thing that Nixon always seems to do is go as far has he can with whatever the game he’s working on. TJoC with being 3D and a free roam FNaF well before that became more normal, plus seeing some stuff he’s helped with outside FNaF, like Dark Deception, this becomes quite obvious and is why I do quite like what Nixon makes.
I feel like if reborn was more centered around observation and hiding thr flashlight bobbing not only would have been a really cool showcase of lights and stuff but would be an actual incentive not to run everywhere and only do so in emergencies.

That's neat, I think, and thanks for saying this, because I worried for a bit that they may not have been "real" like many other TH-cam sponsors have been revealed to be.
If they already existed before, and have grown over time, that makes it more likely that they are what they claim to be.
Too many TH-cam ads turn out to either be misleading advertising, or just outright scams, sadly. Hopefully that changes for the landscape-at-large!

Yeah not a great idea to have items in fixed locations for tjoc:r since that would ruin replayability. It'd be like if the animatronics in FNAF moved in the fixed routes & times during nights. Easier? Sure, but once you know it then what's left to do?
Totally agree on the time limit, it doesn't add much. I'd prefer the animatronics to get more aggressive if you really start taking too long.

I think random spawns for objects are okay if they are implemented correctly. For example, in CoD Zombies, the parts for the shield spawn in random locations. However, it is typically in a small radius or even one room, so you at least know where to search.
I personally think the second game would be better with actual stealth and a timer, stealth games are most fun when you mess up and need to improvise your way out and the timer makes you take risks to get you into bad situations to improvise out of.

You actually forgot about one game that came before the full TJOC story mode. You missed the TJOC Story Mode demo, which had like one night and it was the living room from TJOC:SM. The night mechanics were way different than the TJOC SM full version. There was no free roam, Bonnie would replace Foxys place in the right door, Freddy was in the same location, but foxy was replacing Bonnie's place in the middle double doors. You would be able to peek through all of the doors keyholes except for the double doors. The TV in the game was not used to see where bonnie and Freddy were, but it would be used for Ignited Chica.
Freddy & Bonnie: You would have to peek through the keyholes to see where they were and when they were close you would have to hide behind the couch and turn off the lights (i think)
Foxy: When you heard foxy open the double doors you had a small amount of time to turn around and flash him for him to reset exactly like the original TJOC.
Chica: You would see Chica on the TV, to deal with her you would just have to make sure to keep the TV on. Randomly the lights would turn off and the TV would just have static. If this went on for too long, Chica would jumpscare you and kill you. So when the lights turned off randomly you would just have to turn them back on before chica killed you.
The game got deleted by Nikson after TJOC SM was fully released but I found a reupload of the game from someone else on gamejolt. The game is like the original TJOC just with some actual mechanics other than just turn and use your flashlight on everything.
