It’s called a sacral dimple and a lot of babies are born with it! Luckily most babies with it end up being fine and have no issues. However, some babies with a sacral dimple end up having spinal / neurological issues, so doctors like to keep an eye on them.

That’s usually why women don’t use the oil to induce, so many things could happen. Plus with women who only have C sections it’s not good to induce labor when your going to have a C section. I’m so so so sooooooo glad you both are okay!♥️
Angie Suarez my mom had two c sections and I was born VBAC I also had a c section with my daughter and they are talking about me maybe doing a VBAC when it comes close to my due date with my current pregnancy

That’s great! But kyra never really talked about a VBAC, I feel like if someone planned to have a C section then they shouldn’t induce themselves and make the situation harder because like she said she never experienced actual labor pains and there hell I couldn’t even imagine having them and then having a c section. I have a natural birth and I induced my self as well (not with the oil) just naturally. I think VBACs are great for women who would like to experience vaginal birth but personally I wouldn’t I feel it’s a big risk

Both my sons has this also and it came back to just be a deep dimple and all riley hospital did was an altrasound in that area so dont worry to much untill then!!!!

She’s so sweet. My middle had a sacral dimple too and the hospital explained the concerns regarding it, but my doctor looked at it and said it was fine. It’s usually only if the dimple is discoloured and has hair growing in it that it is a sign of a problem. I bet she’s perfect! Congrats guys!
I can't believe what the last 4 years have been for you guys. You have such a gorgeous family and have done so well for yourselves. I am so proud 😊 I got married in 2015 and am now expecting my first baby and seeing teeny makes me so excited to meet my little one.

She’s so sweet! If you’re talking about a sacral dimple, 2/3 of my boys have one and so do I. When they were born, the doctors checked it out and they’re fine, I’m fine. Sending prayers that you get the same results. ❤️

What they are worried about with her sacral dimple is a tethered spinal cord. My niece was born with that same dimple. They did the ultrasound in the hospital and couldn't tell whether it was tethered or not. They met with a neurosurgeon and he made a plan to do an MRI at one year old which would determine if there was in fact a tetheted spinal cord and if so, they would do spinal cord surgery. It turned out at 1 year she had the MRI and she did NOT have a tethered spinal cord and did not need surgery.

Sarcal dimples are great to get looked at! I am glad you’re getting it checked, MOST of the time it’s normal but in some cases it is a indication of spina bifida. My sister specially has spina bifida occulta. When this is a occurring, a lot of the time it is an indication of a tethered spinal cord causing your baby not being able to grow/stunt their growth. I am not trying to scare you, I just wanted to share my experience! Love you guys so much! Have been watching you and Oscar since Oscar was working full time at his job and trying to vlog when he was working!!

It’s called a sacral dimple and they are looking to see how far down it goes, it’s typically harmless but as a parent it can be really scary because Drs talk about things like tethered cord syndrome and spina bifida. With my oldest child hers was super deep and they did not have the equipment to do the CT at hospital. So Drs started mentioning all of these scary things, I was an emotional crying wreck and immediately after discharging her and I the hospital sent us over to the children’s hospital to perform the scan. It turned out to be nothing just a dimple but talk about an emotional roller coaster. I’m sure Ms Teeny is just perfect!
The area at the bottom of her spine is called a sacral dimple. Definitely needs to be checked out but a lot of the time is benign. ❤

My niece has one of those dimples too. It's called a sacral dimple and most of the time it's perfectly harmless. The doctor at the hospital noticed it and freaked out but never explained which lead me to Google and panic because it's linked to spina bifida BUT the dimple itself isn't usually a problem unless it's open. In those cases they usually have hair growing over the dimple (because the body is trying to cover the opening). I like that they are having a specialist look at averies...they didn't do that with my niece. The pediatrician just kept an eye on it (because she did have slight discoloration in the dimple but it's just veins I think) anyway, it's almost always nothing to be worried about, just make sure to clean it out well after diaper changes lol s

I was thinking this too! I have that little dimple and it's spina bifida occulta and it's literally effected 0% of my life. If she just has a little dimple it's likely not severe as well.

use a nipple shield! it's not the most comfortable but it helps with bleeding and pain while you breastfeed ❤️

May I ask why you tried inducing yourself even though you were gonna have her the next day like you already knew when she was coming lol I get if you were passed the due date or not having a planned c section. I’m just curious why not wait for the next day? Lol

Lauren Buford yea but she said it herself that the people she knew that tried it went into labor within hours so with even knowing that info she still did it when she was gonna have her the next day either way. Lol.

Especially when Castor oil isn’t quite safe being uncomfortable or not she was literally gonna have her the next day. lol but hey we don’t know if that actually induced her or if it was gonna happen that night regardless. Coincidence? Who knows. Lol.

Girl god bless u i juss started watching ur videos but my 3rd son also was born with the same dimple hes now 11 months its a form of spina bifida its a teethred spinal cord but hes doing well 2day he has not yet gone 4 surgery or anything and hes deveoping just fine he has no symptoms as of yet i wish u the best of luck with ur babys diagnosis please keep us informed on her development

When my daughter was born the doctor said she had a sacral dimple and if it was closed it's okay and if it was open then they would have a concern and probably surgery they checked it was closed and again when she was 6 months still closed and never said another thing about it. She is now 4 and perfectly healthy crazy kid! So hopefully it's nothing and Teeny will just continue to be perfect!!

Both my kiddos and myself have a deep dimple above our bottoms and never knew it was a cause for concern, so tha is for bringing awareness so I can at least ask their ped and watch for one on my next baby

Hi on your other Chanel I can't comment on your videos but I see that I can comment on here so I just wanted you to know that the rash that you're having is a very common thing when you feel like it's very itchy I felt that way and I didn't have my kids C-section I have 3 kids I have a 9 year old a six-year-old and a two-year-old who turns 3 in July but I had them naturally but my stomach etched really bad and that was because of my stretch marks it killed me so much hated it. So I'm just letting you know that it might have to do with your stretch marks if you have any. Just take a nice warm bath lavender. And then put some cocoa butter and some cortisone cream on or vitamin e oil. I use the Aveeno for sensitive skin and its 1% cortisone but it works really good because it calms any irritation of skin and itching it's like a numbing cream and it's over-the-counter you don't have to get a prescription for it but if you need to you can get a stronger Cortisone and you'll need a prescription for that but anyways just wanted to let you cause that's what I got after my second child. It really sucked I itched so much and it really started late at night and my husband hated it cauae I would wake him lol. But don't worry it will go away it takes time. Please try the things I said and hope you feel better I'm always here little mama ☺️😁

I have the Venus dimples on my lower back and I get back pain sometimes during pms and if I strain myself but that’s it. I use it as an excuse to not lift anything.
