I'm an adult that enjoys reading graphic novels and I agree with you that these are absolutely the best! I had some of the single (comic-style) issues previous, but bought the three-volume hard cover set after seeing your earlier review. And they're simply fantastic! Kingstone does some great work and I'm glad to see you continuing to help promote them. Thanks, Tim!
The 3 volume set looks great! I have been an artist 30 years and am very tempted! I rather like seeing the life and times that we imagine as we read our bible come to life, and am not going to take offence at depictions of Jesus, because I am on meat not milk after all my years of faithful daily reading as well as faithful bible believing! Thanks for reviewing these so enthusiastically, Tim, and God bless.
This is my favorite style when it comes to reading, with graphics! because it keeps me engaged, and i always get through the book. Before, i couldn't even get through a chapter in the bible, and now i can. God bless the artist behind this bible. Just Epic! 🙏🏾
Can you give your take on what would be the “PG rating” for this rendition of the Bible? I mean of course kids of all ages should be privy to the Word of God at any time, but do you feel that any of the stories were dumbed down in terms of explanation to accommodate kid friendliness? For instance, does it explicitly state that David sleeps with Bathsheba? Does it even include Tamar and Amnon’s story in 2nd Samuel? I have the action Bible and it seems some of those harsher topics were left out
This series has some of the more decent artwork and coloring that I've seen in Bible comics. Of course, there's something nostalgic about the old Picture Stories from the Bible by EC Comics (before they shifted to making books like Tales from the Crypt and Weird Science), but their characters always looked a little too . . . European, let's say.
Am I the only one who thinks it's disrespectful to make images unto God? I believe it is blindness and not the truth, taking people further away from Him. This is the definition of making an image unto God. One event happens unto all and this is not the Holy Ghost.
I understand what you are saying. But even the temple was filled with images of heaven. Most artwork when depicting God only shows a form and no face. I feel that is a good approach.
@@anickelsworthbiblereviews The temple that's been destroyed twice, the temple Jesus said will not have one stone standing upon another? Okay. This is not a child drawing a picture of his mom and dad and a nice sunshine in the sky. These are images deliberately drawn to depict God and his people. It is breaking the 2nd Commandment. How can someone say they believe in the Resurrection where Jesus, Moses, Elijah and all t he fathers and saints are living again, souls intact, and defend people drawing images depicting them that are false? Those who make and defend these images are not in communion with the Saints. Imagine you live many years in the Lord your God, and die, as an OT patriarch or prophet, only to have people making strange images depicting your life and suffering in the world with no respect to you. Our hands do not create the past, and neither do they form the future if we are living for God. This is wrong. One of Christ's names is "The Word of God." The Word and statutes and testimonies are meant to be shared... THESE are the works of the Living God. Not making images as an artist's depictions. It's filthy. Before the faces of the Prophets in the Resurrection these falsehoods will be cast into the fire. It's blind and fake. The Word is what matters.
If I were the High Priest I wouldn't want these images in my temple or city in heaven. I know I'm not the only one. The same Lord God who gave Moses the tablets of stone with the 2nd commandment also told the children of Israel to fashion the tapestries of the wilderness tabernacle with images of angels, but that is according to His Will and Word. It's not even close to the same thing.
What were people expecting with the Second Coming? Do they not think they will stand before the faces of the living Saints in heaven whom they have drawn these images of?
We are meant to hear and meditate in the Word, and ask questions concerning it (as a child asks his fathers and elders, Deuteronomy 32:7). We do not learn the mysteries of the Kingdom of God through images.

Thank you Tim for doing this video . Very interesting. Have a blessed weekend
Thank you Tim! These are great am going to share this review. I gifted a graphic Bible to one of my grandsons about 12 years ago. These are great!
Thanks, Tim! I never even knew these existed and I will definitely check them out. I also like that they're using the NLT for quotations.

What a wonderful comics! Don't forget that all 6 volumes are being translated into spanish.
Thank you, Tim - these look amazing. Whilst the triple set costs £56, sadly, shipping to UK is £75!
Yeah. Wonder if Amazon has an option.
I got the 3 part series for my kids and they love it
I just got the trilogy this week. It's incredible

Oh no! Where's the words?
What?
Hi, am I correct in assuming these hardcovers are exact copies of the comics just compiled together?
Mostly yes.
Would you recommend the softcover or hardcover version for ease of use ?
I don’t think it matters. The hardcovers have a sewn binding so that’s going to make them hold up better.
@anickelsworthbiblereviews thanks for answering, that was also my question.
