Is there a specific order that the nuts need to be tightened since one side of the threads is shorter? I had an issue with mine where the nut broke off of the short threaded part.
It shouldn’t matter, but a good rule of thumb is to tighten from the end with the nut that came loose with the kit (mine came with one of the nuts already attached to the shaft). When you tighten it down, it should tighten both bolts at the same time. Only other advice is don’t over torque, and you should be fine.
@@FullThrottleFreedomChannel Thanks, that helps a lot. Does the nut that’s attached to the rod actually tighten inwards? It comes attached to the innermost part of the thread so I’m surprised that turning it clockwise wouldn’t make it break into the unthreaded part. Anyways, it worked this time so maybe I’m just overthinking it 😂
@@motoontheweekend It might snug up a bit, but it should already be pretty close to tight. As long as you don’t go past the recommended torque, you shouldn’t have any problems.
Do these ever touch ground? I have frame sliders and I am wondering if it is worth the money for axle sliders as they do not seem to touch the floor, at least at low speed crashes
It depends how you crash. These are intended to protect the swingarm and other important parts around the axle. The axle sliders wont touch the ground unless your footpegs snap off and your bike lands on its side.
Lot of love from Kenya .Your videos got a big intrinsic motivation n pray Some day to own one
KEEP UP GOOD WORK
Thank you!
