Behr water-based, interior stain is AWESOME. I have used Ebony and True Black and loved both. Very easy to use and great color payoff.

“Hottest” color of the year? South Florida here. I can feel my bare feet sizzling now. Does stain have an LRV because it can’t be much reflection on this color? There was a show where they stained the entire backyard fence black. It made the plants pop and the fence almost disappears. Gorgeous. I wanted it so badly but I just can’t down here. 🤦🏼‍♀️

I am looking for a front porch color to go with my white dove railings, tricore shutters and front door....I possibly may go with an iron ore or onyx for the front door and shutters....cant find a good color for the decking to go with all of this. The house is a white two story colonial with a good size front porch.....this is the area i need decking advice on....its currently hunter green and im sick of it after 26 years

Oh, heck no!! Not in the south. Plus, it’ll show every spec of dirt and all the scratches on the deck. Be prepared to paint it annually.

That is a drawback on any stain. It needs to be retouched every year.

The Cordovan brown is a beautiful color, but it peels--bad--at least the semi-transparent version of it. We stained our decks two 1/2 years ago. We'll be re-staining our decks this autumn, when really, it was bad enough to redo last fall. We prepped it, perfect weather, etc. Bad batch, who knows? I know reviews I've seen since initially staining weren't favorable towards that year's batch.

Stain is tricky as is and it usually has to be redone every year but sometimes there are problems with batches.
