Interesting video. Thanks for mentioning Arcanine, Kangaskhan, Gengar, and Venusaur, as they are some of my favorite Kantonian Pokemon. I will agree Zapdos is a beast, especially considering how in Gen I it had roughly the same moves as Electabuzz, only Zapdos has access to Flying-type moves. I know, because I played with a Zapdos that had Drill Peck, Reflect, Light Screen, and Protect, so when I played with friends on Pokemon Stadium 1 & 2, they disliked me with a passion, because I always had a counter-measure. Mega Venusaur...have it in double battles with VilePlume, with Vileplume holding a Heat Rock. Mega Charizard Y I like because it can be a Special Attacker, and if I remember correctly, most Fire-types had access to SolarBeam in Gen IV. Mega Charizard X while being strong has one glaring weakness...put it against Azumarill or Tapu Fini, which are Water/Fairy types. Azumaril has the Huge Power ability which increases its ATK power, so some move that's a strong physical attack could do damage, or Play Rough. The moves Aqua Jet and Belly Drum could play into my statement above.

I run a stalling Espathra which switches into Mewtwo on Smogon Singles. I get loads of KOs. (P.S. I love that the Mewtwo in the thumbnail was SHINY! Radioactive Mewtwo is the best!)
Update: NOOO HE REMOVED THE SHINY
No Dragonite???
It only started to get decent with dual wingbeat, and only got decent play with tera normal. It can't carry tera anymore, since there are much better candidates in reg e, f and g.
It has a good ability, especially with roost in its moveset to reset it, but that isn't enough to push it over the edge into being one of the top 10.
It lacks utility and stats.
Great video as always and I agree with your list 100%
Can we get a video where you mention all the Pokemon you have funny names for?
Arcaneenay, Jenjar etc 😆
he has this for gen 1 already
Loved this video Wolfie!
Wolfey is the very best, like no one ever was! In VGC he wins them all, from Players Cup to Worlds! He has fans across the land, cheering by his side! Use Wolfey Blast to understand the power that’s inside!! WOLFEY GLICK! USE WOLFEY BLAST! (The best is he) HE WINS ALL THE VGC! WOLFEY BLAST! (Ooh we are the fans) OF THE BEST WIDEO MAN! WOLFEY GLICK! USE WOLFEY BLAST! (A trainer so true) HAS WIDEOS ON TH-cam! HAS THE WORLD CHAMP DIFFERENCE TOO! WOLFEY GLICK! USE WOLFEY BLAST (Use Wolfey blast) WOLFEY GLICK!
No dragonite in your top 10 is a crime!
What do you mean? Dragonite sucked in every single format that wasn't SV and was totally outclassed by Mega Salamence and Mega Rayquaza whom have the exact same typing
You need to remember that Wolfey only covers doubles when he says best ever. By totally ignoring singles format, he's free to leave out contenders like Dragonite and Heracross (from his recent best bug types video)
It’s called playing the game professionally and knowing what he’s saying
Nice to see two of my favorites (Venusaur and Kangaskhan) made the list! Now I just need to wait for Hitmonchan to get a buff, and I can be happy...
I would have loved to see an "honorable mentions" section to these videos, when the pickings are so tight! Obviously it would have spoiled the mewtwo bit, but you could place it between #2 and #1 potentially? Anyway I'm not an editor, and yours did fantastically this video. Great visuals and little gags thrown in.
Best of Jhoto pokemon:
Tyranitar
Scizor
Murkrow
Azumarill
Poiltoed
Raikuo
Entei
Suicune
Porygon 2
Hitmontop
Damn i barely even got 10, with three legendaries
Smeargle over Murkrow probably for longevity
Id switch murkrow for skarmory tbh
@@txtzx do you watch this channel normally? Skarmory is awful in vgc
@@snakexpert552 yeah you're right... but most of the other pokemon here have never seen usage stats near what murkrow saw before tornadus came out in SV
But idk what to move, probably raikuo
Azu over Murk too. Murk was a niche pick and then good in like one ruleset.
YES!! I LOVE KANTO! IT'S SO UNDERRATED!!
(A new wolfe a video is a new wolfe video tho)
Imo kanto is overrated 😅
i believe that would be the joke they were making
@@soccerjunky8728sshh don't tell them
I’m sorry sarcasm isn’t translated through text
I'm a gen oner, yes I'm old, I had the buggy original red (not fire red), Kanto is the very best but I'll be honestly a LITTLE overrated.
the overcooked music during the factor add lmao nice touch
Yes I would love to see Jhoto next, it’s always fun to see if any of my favorite happened to be competitively good
Love these "what's the best ______ pokèmon?" videos! Keep up the good work, Wolfey!
My boy! I love Arcanine and was waiting for him to show up.
The Donkey Kong Country bee sound 😂
