Love this vid, always chuckle when his string breaks! One of my fave PT songs. Hey, have you ever heard of the band Ra ( as in the Egyptian sun god!)? They began around 1995 but had first hit in 2002, I used to listen to them all the time. Sahaj Ticotin is lead singer, here is a link to one of their recent performances from a year or two ago I think, doing one of my fave older Ra songs called 'Sky': th-cam.com/video/_0E54Al0sJg/w-d-xo.html Of course there is the studio version on youtube as well from 2002 album titled From One. Their latest album was Intercorrupted, 2021, so yeah they have over a dozen albums out. The latest one is not as hard driving as the earlier stuff and is more contemplative, but From One is an album I still have and like to listen to in the car, it has some great tunes! Besides 'Sky' there are harder songs on it like 'Do You Call My Name and 'Skorn', which both sound very Egyptian at the start and then go right into the heavy beat, ha; they just have their own sound, which you either like (or as my son used to say, he felt they were just too generic ha.) But it would be fun to see you check out 'Sky' by Ra. Oh, and another old fave band I love is Vertical Horizon, would love to see you react to their song 'Everything You Want' from 1999! At least maybe I can offer music you've never heard of, from my ancient standpoint of 60 now, ha!
There's a live version here posted on TH-cam by PT of 3 Song's Together 'Octane Twisted/The Seance/Circle Of Manias' but No Video of them playing live but a very underrated 3 songs from 'The Incident' Album that's only 10 minutes in length...
First : this song is simply just one of their best. Second : ty for your reaction to this, one of your best as well. Third : you know what's even more beautiful with the clapping public ? It's that the claps are present in the studio version, in this section their was clapping giving the rythm instead of standard percussion in the original song already, so that's great
Another great reaction man! I’d highly, highly recommend their new song “Chimera’s Wreck” from their new album. It’s got some of the most inspired drumming ive heard from Gavin in PT - I think you’d love it. My favorite track off their new album; it’ll be a fan favorite as it ages. Highly recommended.
Have you heard of alice in chains? I feel you might like that band, they're a bit on the depressive side doe 😝 if you're interested I'd recommend reacting to a song like rooster
I love this song
The clapping is part of the original song and is to resemble the sound of a train on train tracks.
One of their best songs! Enjoy!
Even the porcupine fans are consummate musicians. Audience clapping in this is brilliant.
Trains - I get goosebumps every goddamn time. This was the song that turned me on to PT. The atmosphere is amazing!
Shinedown sound of madness
Goosebumps
I agree with you. Let's celebrate people who are a bit different !
YES!
One fo my preferite... i'st an evergreen PT song
If anyone doesn’t think that PT isn’t special and brilliant, on every level, this video should convince them.
In the studio version, the acoustic bridge (where his string broke) is played on banjo. Very cool transition.
I actually live just round the corner fromwhere SW grew up and when I hear the trains go by I think of this song and it makes me happy
Great comment.. awesome
I fuckin love this song! thanks for reacting to this masterpiece, Sir!
