Yes we bought the max, plus we even got Manitowoc to design and add about another 30 more feet to the Luffer than they originally started with. It's going to have 740' in Luffer I think. I look forward to my time in the seat of this new beast!

@fugisarnia That's not possible, there's only 2 built and both are in the manitowoc Wisconsin undergoing testing, only one has been sold, to crane rental Corp.
@gostr8r Thats awesome, it's one hell of a crane! Did you guys purchase it with a luffing jib? I heard that it didn't test the jib yet, it's taken apart now and inside the facilty getting updates.
That is an awe inspiring machine. Wisconsin has always known how to build big machines - USA know how and hard work. Is that about an $8 million ticket?
@cranedude07 Yes that's the max. I am fortunate to get to run it someday and hope it will be righjt away. I should get some hook work with it but we still don't know where the first rental will be, how long and for who. Alan hasn't assigned the operators to it yet but my name is in the hat as one that wants some of it. We haven't placed an order for another 31,000, but we did bid on a project that wanted 2 of the same rigs on site. I liked the old M-250 model at the reception desk myself.

@coolvidzdude cranes are not designed to go fast! and this was a tour of the facility, not a photoshoot, i have a tripod, but didnt take it as i was there for a tour, and wasnt sure if we could even take pics at all. if i would have known we could take pics, i would have taken the tripod and got alot better video of it.

@cranedude07 I run those a lot, infact I have been on one for a while now on nights at a power plant shut down. I do a lot of luffer and Maxer jobs with ours. Soon I'll add a bunch of projects photos to my photobucket page to but not today. I have way way many to post there. Go to my companies websie and you see what we do. Just google search Crane Rental and add the dot com to it.

I can imagine how heavy it is, and the stresses put on the idler wheels when it turns! It takes a lot of HP to move that

the 31000 is in Sarnia, Ontario, Canada as I type. 680ft of Maximum boom length... WOW
